Hyperion 8000mAh Extended Battery now available - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

If you are like me and the thousands of people who dislike the new Zero Lemon rugged case then this is the one for you. I have no idea why they won't give us the option to buy slim tpu case just like their Note 2, S3, S4 cases so here's the next best thing if you don't want to carry around a brick in your pocket.
As of right now there is no TPU cases available, but for their Note 3 version they do sell tpu cases with their extended batteries.
It's available now! AND it has NFC Been waiting weeks for this

Not for me but would be interested to see a video review of this.

I was glad to learn of this one. I really liked my Note 2 with the Zero Lemon and just a TPU but what they do now it just too much.
I emailed Hyperion today, they say a TPU for the 8k should be out in approx. 2 weeks.

I already pre ordered a black TPU, amazon has the pre order page up but no picture yet.
I will be posting pictures once I get it. I was probably one of the first to order it since I have been checking everyday for it

I have this for my S3. The downside is the back cover is not very good quality, so it is already broken and I had to put tape on it, but well... I have with it most than 2 years now.

The new case are not the same as the older ones.
The honeycomb tpu are like the nite 3's

I just ordered this 8000 mAh baby. Do you think they will offer something other than honeycomb for the case?? I hate honeycomb. I was hoping to get something with a kickstand from somewhere. Anybody run into anything that will fit this?? I'm not finding anything and I really need drop protection on this beast.

I know seidio made an extended battery with a case and a kickstand for the Note 3, but the problem is that it could be another month or two for it to release.
Only problem I have with this extended battery is, it's extremely slippery. Still waiting for Hyperion to ship my TPU

I'm sure I can get a belt loop/slide on leather pouch for general protection, but taking it out to talk, text, lend to someone will end up being dropped from time to time.... Like my old S3.
It's just frustrating.

Hi. I have a couple of questions. How thick is the phone with the battery? Does the back feel like hard plastic or vinyl? Do you have any more pics?

The phone is 2 times or 2.3 times thicker than the original. The back is slippery and hard plastic, I would definitely buy the TPU honeycomb because it's too slippery for me (I feel like the S4 stock back even has more grip than this).
I pre ordered the honeycomb tpu case on Dec 11th and they are finally shipping it out today or tomorrow
I will post more pictures once I receive the TPU honeycomb, I'm sure that's what most people would want to see because the back plate is very slippery, with the added weight of the extended battery..I'm sure you would want the protection :good:
I love this battery so far but I can't fully test it because I am still on my 3rd or 4th cycle and I am getting a replacement phone in a few days. Testing would have to wait

Thanks for the reply. A bit disappointing to hear that it is slippery. I would like a battery from seidio as the way the battery cover is cut allows for a bumper to be used as well. I loved that combo for my S3. Unfortunately they told me they have no current plans on making a battery for the note 4.

Sadly the only way to get better grip on it is either their TPU case or maybe slickwraps but not too sure if they would go well together.
Compare it to when you hold a iphone 6 or a htc one m8
I also emailed Anker and Sedio, they currently do not have plans at the moment for extended batteries

That's the reply I got from doing a live chat. I wonder if some of these "premium" companies are bowing out because they can't compete with some of the cheaper price points. Zerolemon and Hyperions batteries are quite a bit less. Also of note, Draco Design has usually been quick to get their bumpers out first, but there is no sign of a Note 4 bumper. I'm waiting on a response from them. For the Note 3, there were several companies that put out $15 bumpers that looked just as nice as Dracos. I'm gonna hold off on an extended battery for a month or so to see if something comes up.

Well let us know if you find it/something

I been bugging Hyperion for a pic of their tpu honeycomb case and sent me this. Apparently they are sold out at the moment from all the pre orders

That thing is hideous. I wish they would make something else. Now, that is just a bottom? And it covers the edges?

Imagine getting this battery and a case added on. WOW. It is thicker than a burger.
Whats wrong with changing regular battery in and out?

One isn't always near to an outlet throughout the day

Case-Mate Tough Case Best Out There! Read my review!

I will start this review by saying that I have owned a variety of different phones ( i get a new phone every 5-6 months) and with each of these phones i buy an expensive case (roughly 20-30 dollars)
The Case-Mate Tough Case beats them all.
I read every review on this board and decided to go with the Blue and Black Case-Mate Tough Case and it has been great.
The included screen protector is a great touch and the hard plastic and soft silicon allows for a great feel and great protection.
The case is easy to take off and looks great (the colors really make the phone unique because you do not see a high quality case that comes in different colors for any phone, many people were impressed when i pulled out my phone asking to feel it and hold it)
Three of my buddies all have Nexus Ones and they all ordered the Tough Case in different colors, two of my buddies were using Otterbox and they both agreed that the Case-Mate was not only more ergonomic it just looked and felt better and did not add the extra bulk the Otter did. Even tho I have never used an Otter extensively I do agree with their impressions just from holding their phones and holding mine and comparing them.
i 7use the tough case too and i gotta say, its great
I'm going to agree that it is an awesome case and I'm glad I decided to purchase it, especially over the otter box. I am going to disagree with the supplied screen protector. It was crap. I love the clarivue ultra clear protector, Its reusable, washable, no adhesive (static based) and You can't even tell I have it on. Ultra smooth, ultra clear, no glue.... awesome.

I have one ordered and it should be here next week. I need a holster for mine. Do you all know of one that will fit this case? Will the Seidio holster work for it? Thanks.
I have the black/black case mate tough case. The only and i mean only problem i sometimes have is that when I put the phone back into the hard shell, sometimes its hard to get the volume down button to work. That can be fixed by doing a little adjusting. I love this case and I wouldn't own anything else...
you guys got me interested in this case. how bulky does it make the nexus looks? the black/red looks pretty hot.....
I want it, but its cheap shipping option says it will take 3-4 weeks to Canada
even the $20 shipping says 8-14 days and with fedex... I pay brokerage..... why can't they do usps expedited?

It does add a little bulk, i'm not going to lie to you. However, in return your getting a sexy case plus a ****load of protection. You just simply can't go wrong with buying one of these cases. You definitely get what you pay for.

I bought black/blue on Friday. Tracking says it will be here today. I was going to write a review, but you beat me to it!
I report back to say if I like it or not.
To those who ask about bulk. Its adds a little bulk, but not as much as the otter box. Not even close if you ask me. And personally I feel the phone fits better in my hand with the case on. It doesn't feel like it will slip out.
Oh and the tough case gets double props for being able to buy the colored rubber inner sleeves separately without buying a whole new outer hard case with it.

i honestly like the otterbox a lot better. its probably type of protection but i like that the ports are covered. u never know when something might get in there
My only gripe with the Case-Mate tough case and this is extremely minor is that because the hard case does not entirely cover the soft case, any lint that you might have in your pocket is attracted to the soft case.
Whenever I put my case in my pocket, it always attracts a little dust. Not enough to warrant getting a new case, but something that you should be aware of.
I used to use the Seidio Innocase II Surface, but it would keep cutting into my invisibleshield which ended up getting scratched off on the sides.
I definitely do love the case-mate though.

I took a look at the cases after your linked that and im very impressed!
being an elevator mechanic i snag my phone case on just about everything and have spent far too much money on holster. Does the medium size work well for you? i find that since the nexus one is a little longer then most bbs some cases the flap will not fold over at the top.
That case would suck for a nexus

you guys got me sold on this case. jus ordered it on friday. i'm currently using the seidio innocase 2 w/ holster. i like the fit of it, but it really is tight on there. i literally have to use a knife to split it from the back just to take it off...

Case Thread

What case will you be getting, if any?
Post your $0.02, give a little review, discuss.
I'll start:
I ordered an otterbox commuter series case for the Desire HD, and am crossing my fingers that the Inspire and DHD are exactly the same. I feel like the commuter is the best balance between essential protection, without adding too much more bulk onto an already large device (to me, slimness is a deal breaking factor). When it comes in, and I have the phone on the 13th, I will test it out and report my findings. If it doesn't fit - I'm going to go with the case-mate 'barely there' case. The only reason I did not choose this case - strangely enough - is that it didn't cover the aluminum/glass seams on the front face of the phone.
Has anyone owned an otterbox before? Please comment on the quality, snugness, design etc - let me know what I should expect.
When I first got my Captivate I also ordered the Otterbox Commuter, however it was a bit too bulky for me since I like the aesthetics of the devices that I buy, and it hampered it too much.
With that said, I will first start out with a naked device, then I might move to a PhantomSkinz Chromatic skin. I love those things.
If I want a bit more protection, then I will definitely be getting a CaseMate Barely There too.
Heh, I also just ordered the OtterBox commuter case for DesireHD, it shipped out today. I'm hoping it fits ok, it should...
I love otterbox protection but hate the bulk. I will be going with a casemate gel skin and a gelaskin for the back along with an invisible shield for the screen

I am thinking it will fit perfectly - after doing more case research last night I found that Seidio is advertising cases for the Inspire/DHD. Unless they are purposely making a blanket case with some added "wiggle room", I believe they know for a fact the two devices share the same dimensions.
When did you order yours? I ordered mine last night (2/7/11, 11:30 pm) and have not received a shipping email yet.
Is the commuter really that bulky? I wonder how easy it is to return a case to them...
Edit: Just checked out their return policy. Seems pretty basic, except shipping costs are non refundable. If it turns out I don't like the case, I'll eat the charge for shipping it back to them (I used a coupon code that got 10% off/free shipping).
I will get the accessories package at the at&t store, but if that isn't enough, I may buy this: http://www.case-mate.com/HTC-Desire-HD/Case-Mate-HTC-Desire-HD-Clear-Armor.asp
What do you think?
Matt
I ordered mine on 2/07 at 2am, and got the shipping confirmation later the same day at 7pm... So that's about 17 hours, lol. I'm guessing that yours will probably ship out by 2/08 at some point? I'm pretty sure we'll get them by the end of the week. I used the same deal, 10% off with free shipping.
I have not seen the OtterBox Commuter cases in person, but they look a lot less bulky than the Defender cases! A friend has the Defender case for iPhone 4 and while it's nice, it's freakin' huge, haha. I think the Commuter series is supposed to be like a lighter version of the Defender, which is exactly what I want.
I always had the gel skin case made by boxwave. It's very easy take off and on. Feels good in your hand. It's doesn't add bulk. They also have one for desire hd which should fit the inspire. I am very excited about the release.

My experience with these cases are never good. While they seem great in theory, I have the way that without fail - dirt and lint get stuck on all of the edges of the plastic. Whether you keep it in your pocket or keep it in your hand, it has happened on every clear shield I have applied. Not to mention they are very tricky to apply to contoured surfaces. They protect from scratches, but don't drop it - your edge will still be exposed (which is probably what is going to hit the ground first)
I have only owned the zagg versions of these, so I don't know if the case mate ones are any different. The last one I owned was actually for an iPhone 4. While I was in the store, despite my previous experiences with them, I thought that it would be a good idea - since the front and back of the iphone 4 are completely flat. While it was a breeze to install, the plastic protector never quite took hold of the glass surface and when I would put it in my pocket, I would remove it to find the protector all disheveled over the phone. I eventually just ripped it off and found a slim hard case.

Case
This case has great reviews on an htc desire site. Its made from TPU which is a little harder and less "sticky" than a gel case. Same material as my iphone's iskin case which I've had for over a year. I've dropped it multiple times, and no damage to the phone or case. Prob the best material IMO. Probably similar to the Flexishield case I have on my Hero. If so, they are great.
Just ordered that case, $3.79 shipped on eBay.
I plan on getting the seidio innocase II case holster combo for the inspire when it ships
Cool, my OtterBox Commuter case (for Desire HD) came in today! Took 3 days total with (free) shipping via USPS Priority.
The case is NICE! Way better than I expected and really not too bulky looking at all. I'd say no thicker than any other normal case. I like the combination of the rubber + hard shell. The case also has a nice texture to it as well. Now I just hope it fits the Inspire ok, lol.
I pre-ordered from Radio Shack, guy told me they were getting the Inspires in "early" for the 10th, because they're trying to compete with Verizon iPhone (which launches on the 10th). I have no idea if he's right or not, but will call on Thurs afternoon to check, and maybe I'll have a nice surprise...
I preordered mine through radioshack as well i hope they call me earlier than the 13th to come pick it up. i'm paying retail for the phone so i wonder if I'll get the 30 accessorie gift card? Any suggestions?

I ordered 4 of them from the shack and was told I would get the $30 card for each phone. Also not sure if you did this or not, but on the bottom of your preorder receipt theres a survey link , tkaes about 3 minutes, and at the end you print out a coupon for $10 off your next $40 purchase (picking up the phone )

Otterbox Defender Series Too Expensive ($70!)

Isn't this case too pricey?!
This is the only case you will ever need, guaranteed.
It is a little high. Your paying for top of the line. Port covers, holsters, lots of unique color choices and a screen protector. The case looks well made. For me note 2 I spent over 50 for my case and holster. The one I brought was good but this one looks better. I'd consider it if it had a kick stand.
The price should come down in a few months but I don't think it's really overpriced.
Or just grab a UAG case and get similar protection for half the price (and better looks).

It does have a kickstand... The Belt clip is a kickstand. If you pull it back the whole way it will snap into the kickstand position.

It's certainly pricier than other models but one thing they appear to have accounted for is the fingerprint scanner. It looks like the case is notched right below it. Fingerprint scan worked fine on my Note 4 until I threw the Spigen Tough Armor case on. Now I can't get a consistent swipe.

I used to have this case for the Galaxy S3. It was really sturdy but one thing I didn't like is how the TPU/rubber material eventually would not stick/pulled away from the phone and I had to keep pushing in that rubber/TPU material all the time. It was pretty pricey to have to deal with that type of problem.
When I got my Note 3, I tried a few cases and eventually stuck with the Urban Armor Gear. I kept it because it was sturdy, felt good in the hand, saw different drop tests on Youtube, and was Military drop-test certified. I kept that case and also the case with the Zero Lemon extended battery since it was sturdy, covered the ports, and looks to be able to take drops as well.
The Rubber/TPU material is something I never favored either, haha

If Otterbox fixed that issue, it would be the perfect case(although still pricey).
I would recommend the Urban Armor Gear if you haven't tried it before. The only bad thing is that it doesn't have covers for the ports, but it's still a great case. I had the white/Navigator case for the Note 3 and for the Note 4 I decided to order this one:

For all complaining about the TPU cover stretching out on an Otterbox, you know all you have to do is take a picture of it with your info and Otterbox sends you another outer case free of charge. On my S3, I had mine and my wife's outer case, holster etc... replaced multiple times even after a year. So for $59 you paying for lifetime of support and free replacement with minimum hoop jumping.

How do you rank this case? Is the belt clip also a stand, like the Otterbox?

That case does come with a holster but according to the seller does not have a kickstand unfortunately. It is the only holster case I've been able to find with headphone, mini USB & S Pen port covers. I'm waiting until the 22nd when it's available fulfilled by Amazon to see if anything else becomes available and if not I'll order it.
It is possible that case will stand up in the landscape mode when the belt clip is rotated to align with the holster clip on the side. My BodyGlove ToughSuit does that and it was not listed as a feature on Amazon when I bought it.
I've read Otterbox reviews in the past that state their cases become loose and I think their price is ridiculous.
If you can wait one of the holster/case Platinum Series Best Buy sells is made by Seidio and has a kickstand. It's the Seido convert combo. Best Buy sells it for $20 less than Seidio.

You can view it on Seidio's website for a different phone like the S5.

I got a cheap TPU case till a good one with a holster gets in stock. I'm gonna try this one have it on order. A little mad cause it said it would be in stock 10/20 now they have pushed the date on me. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MJ...5_QL70&qid=1413735934&sr=8-13#ref=mp_s_a_1_13

Otterbox Defender design problem, avoid until fixed

I suggest no one buy the Defender for the S6 until they show they have fixed the plastic housing, the holster, or both.
The housing on mine has a broken latch after only 2 weeks of use. The Defender for my old S4 last 2 years and still works fine.
The new housing has a smaller perimeter around the latching slot for the holster. Also, the holster tab is now two little nibs, as compared to a solid tab on the S4 design.
The smaller interface area combined with the thinner material on the housing caused mine to break easily. Now the phone wont stay in the holster unless I turn it around to use the unbroken side. I know that side will be breaking soon as well.
To top it off.....Otterbox's website wants me to give them a credit card so they can charge me $ 6.99 for handling the issue.
I am pretty disappointed in the new Otterbox. Am looking for an alternative since the design is poor and the return policy on such a premium product is less than "premium" in my eyes.
I purchased form Amazon. Will see what they say since I am not satisfied with paying Otterbox to look at the issue.
Still, I will need a case with holster while Amazon works on the issue.
Any suggestions for a rugged case with holster?

Sure thing!
BTW...Amazon is shipping a replacement and return label, no cost to me.
I hope Otterbox has already corrected this......otherwise I am still shopping for a different case.

I can't make heads or tails out of the picture. It does not look broken in that pic.

Here are two more. Broken and unbroken.
Now I see what you are talking about. Thanks.
I guess there would be no problem if I never used the clip?

As of now.........I see no problems with the case unless you use the holster.
If you use the holster....and yours is of the same design as mine, it will fail you.
I knocked the phone out of the holster and it bounced around the pavement quite a few times the other day until I realized the problem.
Good thing the case offers good drop protection. It needed it!
That's crazy. While I understand some people won't use the holster so it wouldn't be a problem, they should still cover all charges if they want to charge their premium prices at $50-60 USD.
People might as well go for other heavy duty cases.

I agree. I didn't buy it thinking about cost.....I bought it without regard for cost. Durability was the only reason I chose it.
As I said....the one on my recently retired S4 suffered tons of abuse without failing.
I didn't even get this case warmed up.

Where are the cases?

Pre ordered the Moto X Pure. But looking for a nice tpu or bybrid case. Usually, there's a lot of cases available for a phone before the phone releases. But not the Pure/Style. I know there's a a few on amazon etc... But those cases are junk. Cheap made and will fall apart in a week. I see that incipio has one and ugly otterbox. But never really liked incipio and otterbox. But where are, seidio, Griffin, Belkin, UAG, Spigen???
I doubt UAG will have a case for the moto x pure but I would love it if they did.

Can't find any either....

Most of the high quality, big name companies didn't make for the previous 2nd Generation model, so they probably aren't for this. Maybe they have some kind of pay to play scheme and Moto isn't paying.
Well, for right now, I went for the MoKo. Less then $10. Hope it will hold till UAG or Spigen releases one. Or Supcase...
Is this case any good: http://www.amazon.com/MOTO-Pure-Case-2015-Style/dp/B01355VPT6

People seem to like the variant of it for the Moto G or whatever. The Amazon reviews are about the best feedback you're going to get for the moment. I bought a number of $3-4+shipping cases myself. I don't feel like buying a $30 Incipio case at the moment... And my old phone is still using a cheap case I put on it back in 2012, so I've had good experiences with the cheaper ones anyway.

It will hold. I have had that case for quite a few phones. It is just a bit bulky. I like it for phones under 5 inches and it was OK on the 2014 moto X.

Has anyone seen any cases like the flip shell for the Moto G? Most of these add to the already bulky look of the phone (and don't protect the screen).
I ordered this one (http://amzn.com/B013HSX5L2). I'm actually looking forward to the transparent back. I got the Ash wood back.
I ordered this case before my MXP arrived and had it waiting. I wish it was a little snugger fit, but it'll do for $8 shipped until something better comes along.
(Yes, the volume buttons are labeled incorrectly)

I just got my Moko. I'm not a fan. So far it seems well made, but the holster is backwards when I wear it on my left side.
In addition, it's off-center, so I'm always putting the phone in the wrong way, and the phone can't go in with screen facing out, which makes the the much more stable holster clipstand useless.

Waiting for my SUPCASE Hybrid to come in. Looking into getting a Seidio Note 4 or Note 5 holster since the Note 4/5 is about the same size as MXPE. I think there is a 0.02mm difference between Surface version and Dilex.
Case
Hi,
Just received the Incipio DualPro case. Fit is good, buttons respond well.
Decent dual layer protection. Back is a little slick/slippery.
I'll use it for a while and see how I like it,
Ken
Here it is: http://www.incipio.com/cases/smartp...ualpro-case-motorola-moto-x-pure-edition.html
I got the incipio octane and i really like it. The incipio dual pro is too slick to hold on to though
Does anyone have a pic of the Incipio Octane with frost back?
I'll give you a thank for it lol
Are there any bumpers besides the one that comes in the box..preferably TPU? The one that comes with the phone is a hard plastic that makes the vibration super loud on a desk, but I also don't want to cover the case with a full back.
Anybody found one?
