Droidfish Benchmark - Nexus 9 Themes and Apps

Per a request in another thread:
Droidfish playstore version does not work (engine stops/fails to start).
Droidfish 64 bit beta works. With recentapps cleared, thread set to auto, a ~120 second test leads to a nps of 1085k. See screenshot below.

I am the "requester" and I thank Nidstang.
It seems that the present official play store version doesn't work...
The official developper Peter Osterlund posted a 64 bit beta version on a forum;
so, here's the link and the "how to":
1) After rebooting, download and install Droidfish :
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/89684995/DroidFish.apk
(don't forget to unmark "unknown sources" on phone settings / apps / security)
2) Clear all apps in background (hold home and swipe them away) and then run droidfish.
3) Press the menu button, invoke "Settings", choose "Threads" and select "Automatic" or "2", and then press back button to get back to chess board.
4) There is button with label "M" below chess board. Press it and choose "Analysis Mode". Analysis will start. Keep it running for about 1 or 2 minutes.
5) After 2 minutes passed, read and record the "knps": number at bottom of the screen. This is the measurement we're interested in. This value is a number of positions searched per second (in thousands). The higher the better.
6) IMPORTANT: To force program to STOP thinking, press "M" button again, choose "Two players" so that analysis will stop. Post the results here with rom information (optional). Stock rom is preferable but other roms are welcomed.

I will post a ranking with the other phones and tablets in the coming days...
it's up to you to test...
Thank you!

Just ran the test again with "Threads" set to "4" instead of "Auto" -- resulted in nps:1093k.
Results are roughly the same regardless of reboot.
Unit is stock ROM, bootloader locked, not rooted.

BA with many shortcuts and block "Contacts"

People, I have a BlueAngel and i install many roms of WM5, WM6, WM6.1 but after I install this roms the desktop of my BlueAngel stay with many shortcuts for same thing, like:
- 4 Shortcuts for Help
- 6 Shortcuts for IE
- 3 Shortcuts for Live Messenger
- .....
But ever time I use XDADev_all-unlock-V.16_138_696 before install new ROM... and in the last 5 ROMS my "Contacts" are block I Cant put contacts using my BA or using ActiveSync..
So then these are my problems:
- Many shortcuts for same program;
- Impossible add contacts in "contacts"
Anybody can help me?!
Thanks!
SS for example:

}
.
Your problem is rather simple, you are not following the procedure exactly as you should. More precisely, you are not cleaning the hive. And to put the cherry on top, why are you using the XDA-unlock tool every time??
Follow this tutorial on the wiki
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel_WM6_WizzardMain
This is the true step by step to up/downgrade a Blue Angel. Follow each step and you'll have a smooth running device.
For the time being, to solve your problem do the following:
0. [highlight]BACK UP YOUR STUFF SINCE YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING!![/highlight]
1. Soft Reset the device (stylus on the bottom hole)
2. Just as the device begins waking up (RGB screen), quickly hold Power +the two side buttons (Record + WMP if you have an SX66)
3. You will be prompted with three options, by using the side buttons again, change them to "NO YES YES" and press the "Mail" button. Your screen will turn white for a minute or so. Don't worry, it is cleaning your device from old junk from the previous roms.
Thats it! Your device will restart and prompt you through the startup of Windows Mobile.
Having said all that, tell us how much Storage memory you get when you are done... (I have a feeling that you missed a step).
Good luck!
i never do the 3rd step
All Functions is enable now... and all errors is fixed...
Thanks

[MOD][MIUI] Recovery option on power menu (11-30 MIUI build)

So I got tired of having to manually holding the power+volume keys to go into recovery every time so I added the Recovery menu option to the power menu. Sharing here in case anyone else would like to have it as well. I also took a look at the 4-way boot mod and I personally just prefer having the option directly on the main Power menu instead of a submenu.
Firstly, thanks to Isaacj87 for putting together the MIUI port!
Secondly, thanks to untermensch on xda for the guide.
I REPLACED the Guard option on the power menu so if you like that option, DO NOT use this mod. Basically, you can't change the array size from 5 options to 6 options without the phone crashing when creating the dialog--there's a bunch of verifications on the dialog size in a bunch of different places that is a real pain to try and follow. I didn't want to mess with that so, since I never used the Guard option anyways, I just replaced it--and I don't know how to make a popup window in smali like the Recovery option on CM7 so I don't have any plans on doing that as well at this time.
I also changed the carrier name to MIUI.
In order to see the power menu Phone Options dialog, you need to change your Toggle Settings to Compact view, otherwise, it will just show you your notification bar toggles when you hold down your Power button. To do that:
Settings --> Personal Tab --> Toggle Settings --> Compact
Or as bing7625 mentioned, you can lock your phone and then hold down the power button on the lockscreen.
This has only been tested with Isaac's current 11-30 MIUI builds. Instructions to install:
1. Download Zip file and flash in ClockworkMod recovery.

[Radar Hack]Android CS:S, DoD:S, COD4:MW, MW3 Radar Hack!

Okay so. For a long time ago I search for some nice hacks/cheats for Counter-Strike Source. Not that I'm a noob or anything, but I like to lookup hacks.
I found a radar hack for Android which looked amazing. It was called Organner.pl Radar Hack, but it costed like $100. I tried to research on this topic again today, and I found an awesome free and working Radar Hack.
DOWNLOAD LINK: http://www.cheat-project.com/download.php?id=2368
The hack/cheat is called OSH Android Radar. It supports:
- Counter-Strike: Source
- Day of Defeat: Source
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
I think it's a German hack because the instructions are in German.
Their website: www.oldschoolhack.de - Of course in German.
Installation instructions:
Install OSHAndroidRadar.apk on your Android phone (I tried with 4.0.3).
Open up the application called OldSchoolHack and you should see it says: "waiting for connection". Press the 3 dots (I have ICS) and press on "Show Address".
My address is 192.168.0.30. BE SURE TO BE ON SAME WIFI CONNECTION! Press Ok and leave it there.
Now go to your computer and open up OSHAndroidRadarClient.exe. It should look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now enter menu 1 by pressing 1 followed by <ENTER>. Enter now the IP of your device which in my case is 192.168.0.30.
Now press <ENTER>.
Enter menu option 3 and you should see your device doing something with 8 dots in blue and red flying around in a circle. The square in the middle indicates you. After 20 seconds, press <ENTER> to continue.
Enter menu option 2 and select your game. I've only tried on Counter-Strike Source, so I don't know about the other games. In that case, press 3 and press <ENTER>. You should now see this message:
So now you just have to open up Counter-Strike Source and the .exe injects. If it fails somehow... Then I have no idea. Sorry .
Now when you've opened the game and joined a server/created a server, you can now look at your android phone. It should display some dots which indicates the enemies and teammates. Blue = CT and Red = T.
Now go pwn some more
Hopefully this guide was useful, and if you find it useful then please press the thank button
For now, cya!
Oh, forgot this video that shows how it works:

Sometimes, you download an application because you find it interesting and then finally, it don't need or like it or more (it arrives very often), or you have just changed of rom, of version of Android. I've got a lot of apps, between my changes of terminal, the articles of test for a French blog etc...It's really easy and fast to download some free apps.
In brief, for the most ancient, you must have an important download history :silly:
For awhile now there’s been a way to delete the free crapware from your download history, but not many users are aware of the feature. For your benefit we’ve provided a handy step-by-step guide to getting rid of the apps from your download history that you’re confident you won’t be revisiting in the future.
On first you need the last update of Google Play Store apk, which is 3.10.9, Especially don't say “why I do not have do it earlier ????”. For the simple one and good reason which this functionality is very recent.
=> Open the Play Store App on your device.
=> You’re going to be presented with a list of all your currently installed apps, and below that you may see a list of apps ready for update.
=> Tap the options button in the top-right corner of the screen and select ‘My Apps’ from the drop down menu.
=> Swipe from right-to-left to bring up the ‘All’ screen.
=> From here you can delete the history of any free app you have downloaded. Simply tap the circle with a line through it above the word “Free” in the app list.
=> If you want to select multiple history entries just hold down on the app until you feel the short vibration. Then go through the list and select the other free apps you want to remove.
=> Tap the circle with a line through it in the top right corner if you have multiple items selected and you will be prompted to select ‘OK’ or ‘Cancel’ to confirm your removal.
You’re done! The app list should now refresh, and it should be missing whatever you selected for removal.
Maybe it will be long for some download history. Mine was new and fresh after 2 hrs :victory:
And don't forget to rate for this thread -
Thanks

Just for remember that you can cleaned up your Google download history
Bonjour cher compatriote,
Thanks for this tutorial.
I still don't understand why we can't do this directly from the Google Play website. It would be so easy: tick or untick what we want to keep .

Floating bubble text stays on-screen a long time.

For some reason these "popup text bubbles" stays on screen for about 60sec(Don't know there name, so it's hard finding related search results).
They're supposed to go away way faster(~5-15sec?).
I can't find a way to revert it, so do any of you know whats going on?
This behavior has persisted on two phones(Both running android 11).
I've imported my settings using my google account to the new phone.
The new phone:

Thank you sir, you're a savior!!!
Disable Bubble Notification On Android For Specific AppsStep 1. Grab your phone or tab (Android) and swipe down from the top of the screen once or twice.
Step 2. Tap on the Settings icon to open your device’s Settings menu.
Step 3. Now, scroll down until you find “Apps and Notifications.” Tap on it.
Step 4. Tap the message that says “See all X apps.” You will find icons of three apps installed on your device on top of the phone screen and this message under it. And ‘X’ is basically, the total number of apps you have on your device.
Step 5. From the list of apps, select the app for which you don’t want to use Bubbles.
Step 6. Then, in the app window, tap “Notifications” and then, select “Bubbles.”
Step 7. Next, tap on the button that says “Nothing can bubble.”
This will stop sending you a Bubble for every message you receive in that app.
Regards,
Willjoe
