Is there a good way to move from 4.4.4 to digitalhigh's lollipop Rom without losing my sense contacts? I have several groups in my current setup but when I go to lollipop I lose the groups and many contacts. I guess I could write them all down and reenter, but very time consuming.

I want to change my htc magic rom and wipe all of my stats (the phone is to slow because it had lots of roms flashed without wipe)
and my problem is that I would like to save my merged contacts (google contacts + facebook) so I can restore them right away and don't need to re-merge all my google contacts with their facebook profile
is there any tip to help?
thanks
I am having issues after wiping a couple times for custom roms then resynching my contacts. I am getting accounts that are linked like 3 to 4 times to the same thing and duplicate contacts created on both phone and Outlook. What is the best way to manage and keep my contacts and links clean. Thanks
So I really like the ability to link contacts and after playing with a few custom roms, I noticed the phone does not seem to save an information used to join the contacts. Is there a program or someway to preserve these joins in the case I flash my phone or something.
Also, with facebook contacts, I chose to only add certain contact and not the all option. What If I want to go back through my facebook contacts and add another one. I don't know how without removing the account, adding it back and choosing all the contacts over again (and losing their respective joins). Any tips?
I'm trying to upgrade my skyrocket from CM10 to CM10.1 Experimental. Everything seems to go fine, except the contacts won't backup. Even when I back up the call log, text messages, etc with Titanium, when I flash to CM10.1 I still lose all of the actual contact information (just the phone #'s remain).
I don't upload that information to google, and would like to avoid it if I can. Does anyone know of a way that I could accomplish this, or am I maybe backing up the wrong piece of data with Titanium?
Thanks!
I dont remeber if cm10 has this but I think it does. Go into Contacts menu>import/export>export to storage
Hi everybody,
recently I installed Dual Boot Patcher and RRemix as 2nd ROM. Now I wonder whether it is possible to use apps and/or aata commonly within both ROMs.
According to this description apps need to be installed within both ROMs. But how could I share my already existing WhatsApp threads or history and maps of my navigation software?
And even more: How can I use calendar entries and written memos commonly within both ROMs - since calendar apps and note apps are different stock apps within each ROM?
Would I have to install an independant calendar and notes app within either ROM?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Google Calendar and Google Keep are great calendar and notes app with sync functionality. So backing up and transferring data from those two apps on different ROMS should be easy and automatic.
The rest of apps, you'll have to backup and restore with Titanium backup.
But you'll have to backup before changing between ROMs, then restore that backup after booting into the new ROM. or else your Whatsapp conversations/New data in ROM A will get overwritten with the conversations in ROM B instead of being merged.
OK, just tried it using VVS Mobile app. Marked it for sharing within Dual Boot Patcher in MIUI (first ROM). Afterwards I booted into RRemix (2nd ROM), installed it there too, marked it for sharing in addition. After rebooting I could see my saved VVS connections created within MIUI. Similar with here Maps - at least it finds downloaded offline maps but no route history. So it seems to work.
But with WhatsApp I did not get it working. While having it marked within both ROMs to use shared data I cannot see my chats within 2nd ROM. Does anybody have a helpful hint here?
Also contacts, calendar, SMS and call history is not shared while the apps within each ROM are marked for it. I guess I will have to use identical apps within either ROM in order to be able share their data? Or is there sth. else I need to do?
