Hey folks.
I thought I would pop a quick question and though this is a development thread, I apologize first if my post is a bit Off topic.
Basically, I would like to know if anyone had success trying to theme any apks on the Android L GPE. I'm having a nightmare and cannot manage to get any apk successfully pushed and showing up. Is as though nothing happens. I'm not sure if there is something that I need to do first such as edit the services.jar or something.
Thanks

How do you install weather database editor on alltel htc touch pro? I know this is stupid but I am new to the smartphones and cant seem to figure it out. I want to add my city to the weather app on the phone. I have downloaded and installed compact framework 3.5 and have downloaded wde 1.1 modified but cant figure out how to transfer it to the phone. I have read through post after post on this subject and cant seem to find the trick. Everything I have read just says install it but doesn't tell you how. Can anyone help me?
No one here can help a noob install this program?
think it's more a problem of nobody knowing any "weather database editor" program rather then people not being able to help you install a program
This is what I am trying to do. Any help would be great.

Friendly advice....
Might be a good idea to post this question in the thread that pertains to it instead of starting a new one, but make sure you have read and re-read the posts to make sure it wasn't already answered. Good luck.

I have a few questions and I'm sure someone has the answer here.
1. How come when I start the wifi tether on my Droid my g-tab doesn't see it?
2. How can I add notification sounds? I see them in the system folder but it doesn't let me add them.
3. Has anyone figured out how to get slingplayer to work?
Thanks Everyone.

I use ClockworkMod Recovery to flash so if you are using the stock recovery I'm not sure what you would need.
Yeah I think I saw that one... But I really have no idea what Im doing with this stuff kinda picking up on a little here and there. I have installed TnT Lite version 2.0.0 at the moment and everything seems to be working just as I want for the most part.
I dont know how to add anything to an update.zip file. Still trying to figure that out Im a totally noob at this stuff. Would love to see this added to one of the updates and also that toshiba framework I thought was cool.
So i've been trying to enabling the navigationbar on MIUI, after briefly using the AOKP rom and finding this topic soon after. Think it would be great to use as the touch-button-issue is driving me nuts sometimes.
I've already decompiled the framework-res.apk, made the changes as described here, rebuild it, signed it and then flashed it.
My device boots up fine, just doesn't show the navigationbar. So I was wondering if someone could tell me what i'm doing wrong?
Here's the link for the framework-res.apk i've edited & the CWM update-zip, the version I've used is from MIUI 2.9.29 (from miuiandroid.com)
Probably others out there that would use this I think
I would just like to thank you for not creating this topic in the Development section.

Read through here...read carefully what versions you are on, if you remove s-off now and the 4.4.3 update comes out you may not be able to s-off again.

Based on your other post I really wouldn't worry about it. If I were a bit nervous like you, I would flash a rooted stock rom, which you should be able to find in the threads as well.
Couple quick notes since you sound a bit new, I would edit/remove (you can't delete a post so just edit the entire post to say removed because wrong thread) that request in the Viper thread, someone will probably flame you for asking in there. Lastly, seems like you are getting some help so good luck and keep reading and asking, the Thanks button under peoples names is always appreciated, I know I appreciate it .
