i have a Problem i want to create my device settings.apk like android lollipop style White,light background but i cant't doing it because i will adding in styles.xml light its compiling perfectly but while i put in my device there are no any light background Please Some budy helping me how can i creating background light..????!!!!!
You need to replace the background images in the frameworks. Mind you this will change all the areas android calls that image to. You will also have to change all the text colors. Or it will be white on white

i also tried but nothing happened changing background but opening any app there shows full white not Showing text????

Hi all I have released a rom here for the Vox. This rom "tries" to display a dark theme => dark backgrounds with light colored fonts. However I can not find a way to change the color of the fonts used in system screens : for example the text displayed when you install a program or the text displayed in the various dialog boxes (question, volume, error, info...). I can change the color of the title but not of the text beneath it.
And I have yet another problem : for example if I use Pocket Excel : the background is the one I defined, a dark one, no problem here. But the text is still black so readability=0 !! It doesn't get its value from COLOR_WINDOWTEXT defined in the colorscheme... I'd like to force the text white or force the background to use another color without having to change COLOR_WINDOW in my theme..
Does anyone know how to accomplish that ?

Hi folks.
I have looked everywhere for help with my omnia 7's background accent colour and one other minor issue with no results.
I have the dft custom rom on it and when i choose dark accent it goes green!
Also i cannot email a picture right away after taking it because when i go to options after taking pic there are no options listed.

maybe you had installed advanced config, then you can change directly the accent colors!

I have tried that with no success.
See attached for pics....one pic shows the background accent and it is already set to dark but showing a kind of green..and the other is me trying to send a picture directly to an email contact where there are no options showing up.

the only problem with changing the background color, the system dont support it now. if you look in to the email. or me hub or sometimes on other places like apps that only have black and white as "standard" in theyre xml files, the colors are messed up and are disturbing you from reading. it look good on the start screen but far from usable state right now. i whish we could manage to define all colors in the whole UI, not only a few things.
try to flash another custom rom or change your radio rom version
Hi. I'm theming my GB framework and decided to make all popups dark(gray like ICS). I know the easy way is just to change the popup png colors to change the popup color but I'm having trouble with the font/text color. How do I make the black font color in the popup to white so that it is more readable on the gray popup? Please tell me which part of the styles.xml and what to change.. Thanks

atm i'm learning how to create CM themes for theme chooser. so i downloaded an cm10.2 theme template to start with, decompiled it and looked at the xml's and so on...
now my Problem: is there any guide, tutorial or documentation which Parameter stands forr which and how to Change and find which files contains spezific Parameter for example, Status bar Background Color etc..
and how to Change all Backgrounds in White, so i can have an almost complete White design? (in Settings, dialer, contact, sms, and so on, want to have a White Background)..
i've tried to Change a lot of "Background" Parameters into "#ffffffff", but no Change at all :/
Hello everyone, I'm pretty sure this is not the correct section for this question, but can someone tell me which .png file I need to modify to change the green line and the black background and dark gray buttons background on a spotify widget?
I'm assuming I should be in the \res\drawable-hdpi folder for these changes. I just can't find the proper .pnj files I need to modify to change the green stripe, the black background, and dark gray buttons background. I'm trying to make it look like the Google Music widget since I have them on the same screen.
