HI guys sorry for my english but i'm italian xD so I am a happy owner of a cubot one t, the turbo version in short, and after about 4 month or so I found myself to comb through the original thread on xda the cell looking for a guide to making the root .... had permits and flashed a new recovery I began to look for an alternative to the stock rom and found the miui: factory reset, various wipe, installed miui and brick
So I tried to reflash the firmware driving stock here on the forum, however, on Sp flash tool due to a distraction I clicked on "Firmware-> upgrade" and to my surprise, the program has begun to turn, however, over the procedure the cell does not restarted so I tried manually but not, try again with sp flash tool and nothing ... as if the cell did not exist. I thank those who will know how to help......
to write that text i used google translator so sorry if "I've write" some baloney (?)
thanks

Hi,
Apologies first, if the question has been answered, I have tried my best. I am not familiar with all these Jargon so may be I was not able to find the exact match.
I got this At&T Infuse from US as a gift. Got it unlocked from a shop. It shows it has Froyo.UCKE3 (2.2.1) in phone settings. I want to install gingerbread 2.3.6.
So I downloaded ROM I997UCKK3 from XDA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1293751). I hope ROM means the actual OS and this is what I need to install gingerbread!!! Got the instructions from another site as well i.e. http://droidangel.blogspot.com/2011/11/at-samsung-infuse-4g-i997-android-236.html which were simple enough so thought I will try them.
The Problem I am facing is that when I unzip the ROM File, there is only one file with the name I997UCKK3-Homebinary.tat.md5. I am not sure where to put it in odin as the the instructions talk about several files being in PIT, PHONE, PDA, CSC etc.
Appreciate your help!!
Regards,
--Naufal
With ph in download mode, load the tar.md5 into the pda slot of Odin. Click start. If it doesn't finish for some reson, repeat all steps.
Cranky...

Thank you so much.. Whole thing worked like a charm.
Just one question for my education though... What is the relationship of various GUI w.r.t. OS? Do I get various GUI because of the OS or something else.. I had been reading about the wintouch for samsung and HTC sense for HTC phones etc.. and then on icecream sandwitch saw whole different UI, like rolling pin kind of thing for unlocking phone etc... Hope I am clear enough... Sorry if seems a nonsense question.
Best Regards,

Hello everybody.
I have a problem rooting a N9776 bought from DealExtreme, this is the 4.1.1 version with the 3.4 kernel.
The problem is that it is impossible to root, at least for me. I tried every method on this forum (and others) in order to get it root, unsuccesfully.
This is a list of the methods i tried (as i remember).
- Bin4ry exploit (the first that i tried)[http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460]= I click on restore, the phone reboot, nothing happend (no root, no SU.apk)
- MT6577 CWMR Root (http://www.mediafire.com/view/?8mxvy0ey5yfdu59)=
First problem: I cannot generate the recovery.img, i used cygwin's command to do it, but the image does not appears
Second problem: I managed to get all the links in the guide, but i don't know if there are the versions needed in order to get this done, due to missing links in the guide itself.
Third problem: cygwin says: "perl v5.14.0 required, v5.10 used", and i don't know how to upgrade perl .. or what the hell perl.
-SP Flash (tool http://colonelzap.blogspot.co.uk/search?q=n9770): I loaded the scatter file, pressed the "download" button, take of my N9776 battery, USB pluged in, put the battery back on, the process starts for like 2 seconds, and boom, error (BROM ERROR: S_FT_NEED_DOWNLOAD_ALL_FAIL (4050)).
Im getting a little bit to frustrated, and just to be clear, i will say two things:
1- I'm a complete and absolute noob on all this, i never rooted a phone before (only a tablet, wich was easy).
2- My english isn't perfect (as you can notice), so, sorry for that.
Can somebody help me with this?

Hi all this great community, I have a serious problem with my phone Samsung Captivate Glide, and to install an application and hence fails to restart the logo of "samsung" and there can be hours, and try what they recommend in I have seen posts around here, removing the battery and waiting, by the way if I get both download mode and the recovery mode, and from there try to Re-Flasharlo the Official Stock ROM using Odin if I recognized and well if you did it correctly, but when I reboot again returns the logo of "samsung" and hence fails.
I also searched about it on google and other forums and especially the well known XDA say it is problem with the bootloader, now the question and doubt is like to recover or repair the damn bootloader, I searched on where to find some bootloader for my model, I have since seen some videos of other models of samsung as S and skyrocket with the same problem, there are the flash with odin also give the files of both the Bootloader, PDA, CSC, Phone callers flashing tools but I have found for my model.
I have also done the wipe's appropriate and even factory reset in the recovery mode and still nothing happen the logo.
By the way I had my phone updated to ICS 4.0.4 before I pass this problem because it came with Gingerbread 2.3, plus what I had rooteado with a program called "Kingo Android Root" which by the way is very effective and made me in less than 5 minutes without problem, I say all this for more information on this issue, if not affection to be something super-user.
I have also researched that used to do this with a "Riff Box Jtag" said the problem is not because I have no knowledge about it other than it requires special equipment
There will be some form of damage or repair this and my phone is garbage
I hope you can help me or guide me to do, I thank you in advance for your input and assistance.
Thank you ..
PD: sorry if my English do not understand because I do not know well
I have been attempting to get Mobile Upgrade Q working all day and have had no success because of one stupid little error message...
There is no greater software version available to upgrade your phone, actual version of your phone is the latest.
I can already tell you this isn't true.
To make a long story short, I was aiming to unlock the bootloader on my Idol 3, downgraded to Lollipop via Eluga Switch restore software, installed TWRP, rooted, then attempted to flash Lineage OS 14.1 to the device. It refused to boot, no matter what I did...
Deciding that I wanted to go back to stock firmware, I installed Mobile Upgrade Q 5.1.8, opened the program, and tried to start the upgrade process. However, I was instead greeted with the error I mentioned above, how my device was allegedly already on latest software.
- I've tried using other versions of Mobile Upgrade Q with no success.
- I've tried reinstalling the Alcatel drivers via. the one I copied from my phone to the computer, same result.
- I've tried loading it from the bootloader, and with the device powered off and charging, both of which failed.
- Yes, I've tried wiping data/cache, and even system. I also tried Panasonic Eluga Switch again, which succeeded, but again, I don't want my phone to be branded under Panasonic, and I do want the Marshmallow software...
- I've tried restarts, multiple different drivers, and even relocking the bootloader, all of which failed...
Does anyone know how I can get the Upgrade software to work? I've tried everything I could on my side, and nothing seems to succeed...
Thanks in advance...
Your only chance is to use QFIL and flash stock ROM. You need to google and try to find a suitable ROM. May i suggest 4pda.ru website. It's russian but google translate does well enough. It has a lot of useful information for both variants, 4.7 or 5.5 version . Idol 3 is the worse when it comes to rooting, flashing etc. Don't mess with it. You can easily ruin it for good.

Do you know where I can find the stock firmware file? I couldn't navigate through 4PDA that well due to the Russian interface, and Google Translate did little to no help.
Thanks

Here you go. Use google translate for more details.
If your model is 5.5 you can find it in this forum.

Hello @chewyboy0, you mean flashing latest stock ROM or just wipe partitions?
Hi, the software does wipe and then it flashes the latest stock rom, I do not have the phone currently but I can update on the procedure once I get the device since I have upgraded to a Samsung galaxy note 5 and I gave the old idol 3 to a friend

It would be nice, I'm sure many people will use it.
Hi all! Sorry for the late delay but I have not had the idol and still do not have it unfortunately. I will upload the software to google drive but be mindful that it does require a password to actually get into the program as I assume that it is used in Alcatel's factory to install the software update to the device.

Hiya! I have a guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-3/general/guide-restore-idol-3-to-factory-rom-t3769739
I'm not sure if it will work with the Idol 4 but if it does not have the model number listed in the program you might want to try updating it using the dialog box that pops up at startup. Before updating the program, try seeing if it has your idol 4's model number listed and then if it doesn't close out of the program, reopen it, then update it.
Hope all goes well,
Jason
