Hello all,
I tested 5.0 for our awesome Opo, but have to go back to Heisenberg because no one have the aokp navbar options...
Somebody have an idea if a 5.0 version will have this features?
Or one solution via xposed or other for having this?
I need 4 buttons : back, home, search, menu and longpress actions too.
Thanks a lot
Well you can't use Xposed on 5.0 because 5.0 uses the ART runtime, which Xposed is not compatible with. But anyway, you're getting a bit ahead of yourself here, the Lollipop ROMs are still very early builds, allow the devs time to get it 100% stable before even thinking of making such feature requests.

I never ask to make it immediately.... I just asked if someone work on it, or someone have a solution... Nothing more...
And some for xposed.... Some 5.0 ROM have it already installed...

Ok, but like I said, their job now is to get everything running properly first, then come the extra features.
Xposed isn't compatible with ART, so I don't see how it's possible to be used on a Lollipop ROM, do you have links please?

Hello, I just rooted my Samsung galaxy note 10.1 gt-8013 running jelly bean. for the first time a few days ago. It was the first time I rooted anything. The reason I wanted to root it was pdroid. I have installed 3 or 4 different roms on it trying to get pdroid to work on them with no luck. I have also used the auto patcher like it says to. The tablet says it's installed, and have ran the auto patcher multiple times on each rom. When I look for it in the market it still won't show up. So I'm starting to get a little frustrated because I'm not sure if I'm just not using the auto patcher correctly or if it's just does not work on my table. If anyone knows of a rom that comes with pdroid with it. Or if anyone can point me to a rom and has the patch for pdroid. Any help would be appreciated.

I too hope a dev will one day integrate pdroid, on a multiwindow capable rom, until cm integrates this feature, i guess that means stock roms for now.......either integrate, or build their rom in such a way that is compatible with a pdroid patch .
Over on the official thread, looks like the dev has added stock compatibility, but i suspect its for specific stock roms, could be wrong

I think it was for very specific devices, if i got the gist of it right, i think a dev needs to implement it into a rom specifically for our note 10's
yes,but i've no knowlegde at all for doing this. i was hoping you found something.

I found out something similar to pdroid... it's called XPrivacy and runs on top of the Xposed framework. it needs root but it's pretty straight foward to install and use. it also works for pratically any rom including stock.
you can find the installation/user guide on github https://github.com/M66B/XPrivacy
I'm not 100% sure but there's an article on this on android police. it works like a charm for me (jb 4.1.2 on stock)
hope you find it usefull like i did!!

is there a rom that takes every option or customization from every other rom, and mixes it into one grand stock feel rom, that happens to have endless options and choices?

Nexus 5 roms can be found here
I don't think you'll find a rom that includes "all possible options" but im sure you'll find one that fit your needs. In addition you can use the Xposed framework to add some options.

Hi, here on xda we dont compare roms, sorry. its just taboo of the worst kind. Also please post questions in the question and answers portion of the forum, thanks and cheers.
I'll go ahead and reply with respect to the split between KitKat and Lollipop. You'll note a bunch of Lollipop-based ROMs appearing. Some have chosen to flash those, to be on the cutting edge. However, the Xposed Framework - one of the most useful customization tooks in the Android world - has not been updated to work with the "ART" (Android Run Time) and instead is only still compatible with Dalvik-based system. The developer of Xposed has indicated that he may work on updating XPosed at some point, but there is no firm commitment or timeline.
I personally will not be upgrading to Lollipop as I find that the tweaks made available by the Xposed Framework and the plethora of modules built for it, are simply too important me to lose by upgrading to what isn't all that radically different of an Android update.
But to each his own. Thought I'd give you a bit of the background.
P.S. Anything by Santod is quality work (NuSenseSix, UnSenseSix, etc). He really knows Android.
Nothing beats stock as far as stability. For newest, well, the newest official software is stock as well until VZW releases Lollipop.
Sacred cows make extra tasty steaks. That said, I'll make recommendations. I think Fluent is as reliable as the stock 4.4.4 and more so than some of the more radically tweaked 4.4.4 ROMs out there built from non-Verizon sources. NuSense is solid as well, but hasn't been updated in a while, is minimally modified, and is based on the oldest of the lollipop releases. if 4.4.4 is all you want, Clean ROM 3.0 was a solid runner for me.
If you can do your own mods then I would go with Lollipop as you don't need xposed if your looking for stable stick to 4.4.4 for now.. Make sure you upgrade your firmware before if you haven't as you r still on 4.4.2 ROM I'm taking a guess your haven't updated firmware.

What do you mean by doing your own mods? Short of coding them, I'm not sure how one would go about getting Samsung Milk to work, or cleaning up the Notification menu, or a bunch of other things that just aren't commonly built into customized ROMs. If you do know of a way to get such things working in Lollipop, do let me know - I'd then be able to make the switch!

Hello.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 currently running the Vodafone official Lollipop ROM. I find it very sluggish and would like to speed it up.
Would I see any benefit in rooting my phone and going to CM13 or an alternative Marshmallow ROM ?
I have 2 apps that I use constantly - IBM Verse and VPNCilla, both of which I use for work. Would both of these apps work
on a custom ROM, as this would be a deal breaker if they did not.
If all of the answers to the above were yes, where would be the best place to download the necessary ROM etc, as it has been a while since I have done this.
Many thanks,
Simon

Yes marshmallow is more smooth relative to lollipop.
As for your apps it depends on the ROM, if the ROM you are using has a VPN bug it means you won't be able to use vpncilla properly ,just check known issues of the ROM before flashing to make sure
XDA is the good place to find development
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-unofficial-cyanogenmod-13-0-t3238064 try any other if you don't like it ,lots of marshmallow based ROMs out there nowadays

Can you recommend an alternative ROM to the CM one, as it states on the link that was sent that there is a problem will Call Audio, which is a problem for me, as I use the phone to make calls.
Thanks.

Does anyone here still have this phone? only for curiosity
I just noticed that I enter the low activity device group
It's really a shame ... it's not a good phone, a newer rom would make it explode
See Ya!
Yes me I have one. I search in the net to find a debloat rom to go in. Can't find anyone even in XDA! It's a sm-g386w but if if found a ROM for sm-g386t I'll try...
Yep I still have my GT-18262 and I use it for experimental stuff only though but it was my first samsung phone...

I got it in my pocket in this very moment. (It's
a core G-386W. More or less a late model with better parts. 0.5gb of more RAM iirc
Really run smoothly in most conditions. Still love it. Only replaced it with a LG V20 (not letting go of that removable battery) for OS reason.
I still have mine works great for me I just wished I could update it so I can get some newer aps so at least I could connect my smart watch with it. the only thing I did was years ago installed rooted it and installed kitkat ( I think it was back in 2014) other then that haven't done anything but bought a new battery

Does Wi-Fi and cellular networks work? I installed CM12.1 on mine, everything works perfectly, except the Wi-Fi and calls/sms
I know I am almost 2 years late to the party but I will leave this for those who are willing to dive into the rabbit hole. I managed to build a "functional" lineage18.1 for the SM-g386W Afyonltecan and I am willing to share it as well as the source so that hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will take the lead or help to fix the bugs so that we can enjoy this piece of history for few more years. Don't get me wrong, it is far from perfect and so far only worked on my device. I also successfully build lineage 16.0 and twrp 3.7.0 but they are too buggy to be useful as is.
