[Completed] problem using internal memory - XDA Assist

how do i access my android internal memory using computer

Well there's not too much you can do with your pc compared to using a root file manager app.
However there are still some things you can access. check out this thread for some insight http://www.xda-developers.com/android/beginners-guide-to-the-android-debug-bridge/
Good luck

[Q] How to Push as mass storage device in PC?

Hello all
I bought a P6200 recently! but when I connect it to PC it doesn't mount as USB drive?
As well in settings menu I couldn't find it to set it to mass storage mode!(like my Xperia neo and other Android phones) even it doesn't have USB part
Would u help me ?
It's ridiculous that can't be done!
yup... it is ridiculous because it really cant be done...
That' s not true. After connecting my Tab Plus to PC, I got new wino opened with 2 drives. One is my MC and second Phone memory so I can copy whatever I want. Try in settings-application-development...
that is in MTP mode...
The reason is because of how the GTab 7+ uses internal/external memory.
It's impossible for Android to unmount the memory because it's constantly in use. This provides a lot of benefits for performance and application space.
However, the trade off is that unmounting the partition would cause android to crash. So you can't unmount it to let a PC mount the partition. The work around for this is Android hosting the partition as an MTP device and doing file changes by proxy for the PC.
Personally, I haven't found a situation where I needed to do something on the file system that MTP prevented me from doing. At least so far...
I too have had no problems so far transfering files using MTP but its very slow. So I've used a card reader to transfer files to the sdcard when I wanted to do a quick transfer of a larger amount of files such as mp3's.
Hard to mount the sd card as a drive for use with synctoy is one example of where mtp is inconvenient at best.

Mass Storange mode is no longer available since Android3/4 deives as there is no seperate internal SD card. All Android tabs connect with MTP mode.
I use SyncToy as well to backup the whole of /sdcard. But that's for the P1000, now I can't do the same on the P6200. All the other available options are either too slow or too cumbersome to use on a daily basis.

Has anyone tried the "Multi Mount SD-Card" app on this device? It mounts the SD card as USB mass storage without dismounting from the android system.
I found mine mounted them both only after i inserted a micro sd card into the device.

I have just installed Multi Mount SD-Card v2.12 and found that it is not compatible with the device. It's disappointing.
I would suggest setting up adb and using Android commander (it is a GUI for windows)

Internal memory access

Ok, keep the insults to a minimum if this is something I should already know. I have an issue accessing my internal memory card from my system. I can see that I have storage from the settings and much is left; I automatically download to the internal storage, from XDA for instance. I can flash from the internal memory and can access and alter it from USB hookup to my laptop. But, when using ES file manager or Root manager, it goes from root to the external card without any option. What gives? As some background, I did move to Chimera from Embryo 3.2, where I swear I read a post about the kernel having been altered to make deleting from the internal memory impossible from inside. Even so, why would I not be able to see it? Now I use Chimera 2.2, and have changed the kernel to Instigator X. All functionality is good, except for this one thing. I have researched for others having this 'issue' and haven't found anything on it in Q&A or the threads of any of these ROMs. Not the end of the world, but would like to know if it is an anamoly, or more likely I am an idiot who is overlooking something.
On AOSP based roms internal is at emmc and external is at sdcard

Mounting internal storage as USB mass storage

Hi Guys, is there a way to mount the galaxy s3's internal storage as a USB mass storage device? As you know, currently when you connect to the computer, there are only two options: MTP and CTP. I know there is an app that does this for the external SD Card but I need it for the internal storage.
Thanks!
I use an app called SambaDroid. Once you connect to your phone you can map it as a drive using Windows. I use SyncToy to back up my stuff regularly, and although it's a lot of steps, it works pretty well.
If anyone has found a less labor intensive method, I would love to hear it.

Partitioned sdcard not being read properly

Hello all. Not sure if this question has ever been posed but I have a problem that deserves the attention of the pros here at XDA. I recently purchased a tablet with Android 5.1.1 lollipop with 16gig internal storage and 1gig of ram. After loading the device up with apps I started noticing that I was rapidly running out of room. I installed a 32gig sdcard formatted as fat32. After rooting the device and installing Link2sd I came to find out that this would only work with an ext partition. So I reformatted the card with two partitions, the first being in fat32 and the second in ext4. So far the device seems to be running pretty smoothly and was able to link all app files to the sdcard via link2sd. The problem here is when I check the storage in the system settings it shows all of the available space in the fat partition as expected. When I check the storage in link2sd, es file explorer, or any of the other file manager apps, it shows that there is only 502meg available on the sdcard. I was wondering if anyone here would be familiar with a problem like this and could advise me as to what I could do to fix this. Thanks

[Completed] Soft rooted device counts SD stored apps as used inner memory

Hi there,
I'd like to ask for your kind help.
Info
Device: d402 (Navon Mizu D402)
OS: Android KitKat 4.4.2
Originally NOT rooted
Memory (device I internal) 1,27 GB
Rooted (soft break) by Kingo Root, SU by Kingo Root
SDHC Maxell 16GB class 10 (32GB can be extended).
Used apps: Force2SD
QUESTION: there is not an app that would show me apps are forced to SD.
Only music and audio files are shown.
It seems that although there are 450GB free memory is available in the device
it seems that phone counts SD used memory taken by apps as it was used by device in its own inner memory,
so device randomly reboots itself.
Is it possible to see apps on SD?
File Manager counts MBs are used by photo and audio files too only.
Although I rooted phone and able to move apps to SD device randomly restarts itself.
Thanks for your kind help in advance!
Hope to hearing from you soon!
Brgds,
Nika
