Is there a shortcut to "Privacy Guard" settings? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

It's so cumbersome to go to settings, privacy, and then privacy guard. Just wondering if there's some method out there to make it quicker.

If you add a widget for settings app is privacy guard on the list? I am on temasek lollipop do can't test but I have one available straight to app ops

Nope there's no Privacy option there.

I can't find one either, so I made a shortcut to app ops which is close enough.

Prevent screen rotation on app-by-app basis

Is there a way to disable the automatic screen rotation for specific applications? I thought I'd seen a settings app that did this, but haven't been able to find it on xda or anywhere else. Are there per-application settings that control rotation or is it just the global setting that's available? I've seen mention of doing this by editing an app's manifest.xml file, but am not sure if this can be done if all I have is the apk or not...
Yes i too would love and app that does this. Hope someone writes one soon
still looking for this :/

One solution...
I recently discovered the Xposed Framework and am using the App Settings module within it to control a variety of per-app settings, including orientation.

Shortcut to Tether Enable?

When I want to enable hotspot tethering I have to go
home screen ->menu-> settings -> wireless and networking -> tethering->mobile->enable
Thats a lot of clicking. Is there some way to get a shortcut? I wish I could stick in the pulldown instead of auto-rotate which I never change.
This is on stock.
You should at least be able to add a shortcut to your launcher for Settings, perhaps even down a level or two.
A non-stock launcher may provide more shortcut options as well.
Without changing the framework (part of the ROM) you can't change the choice of toggles, that I know of.

Play Store adds icon to desktop (with option off)

I'm using Cleanrom and Nova launcher. Lately Play Store has been adding icons to the desktop every time I install an app. I have the "auto add widgets" option turned off and I don't think it had been doing this before. I tried toggling that option too. Any ideas?
There is an independent option in Nova - check Nova Settings - New Apps, they added this pretty recently.

thanks for that...I thought Google had done an Apple and removed a feature cause its 'not how you're supposed to do it'.
Ruddy annoying having new app icons appear all over the place.

[APP][4.3 ONLY][FREE] Shortcut to hidden setting - Manage INDIVIDUAL PERMISSIONS

Android 4.3 has a hidden part of the settings that allow you to turn individual permissions on and off for apps.
You can get to it from some existing apps, but I've built a simple app that directly launches that screen.
You can get it for free here.
Just installed.
Works exactly as you say!

[Q] Prevent App Closing from Clearing Recents

Hello,
My goal is to keep an app from closing when using the clear recents function found in many Roms. I know in MIUI if you drag the app down in the recents it will lock the app and prevent it from being closed when clearing all. I would like to find a way to do a similar action using the latest PA 4.4.3 Rom.
Perhaps there is an app that lets me run it at all times or something in the system that I could lock it like I would in MIUI?
Thanks!
Use a task killer(though highly advised not to) and put the app you want to keep running in the ignore list.

Click to collapse
Would that keep the app from being killed while using the recents clear built into the Rom or just the task killer? I haven't had on of those in years.

not sure i was thinking that you use the app's clear all button. The recents clear in like android's inbuilt task manager maybe it will get the highest priority maybe it wont. worth a shot
Alternatively(not a geeky way) you open the recents from the app you want to keep and then clear the recent from that.
Does anyone else have a suggestion?
