I don't know if this is a mistake or if it is intentional, but I jumped on it. You might want to do the same.

You can still order it at that price though, and get it when its in stock.

I successfully had amazon price match mine and received it today. At $130 I was very buyers-remorse-y, but $87 seems really fair. I'm typing on it right now and it's a solid piece of kit. I wish it was backlit, but the magnets are strong, and found it will actually support it in 3 angle configurations. I'm pretty happy with it overall. Just wish they had opted for dedicated home/back/ recent as opposed to the 2 awfully large emoji keys, but c'est la vie.

Not any more
Must have been a bad Price by HTC.
It's back to $129, even with a Prime account.
For those that got it.... Lucky You!
Correction... $125.18

naah amazon will reduce prices on things at random. many people sign up for these types of alerts on specific items.
the folio case is nice! i eventually picked it up from goog since amazon had no eta. it is nice and with a bluetooth mouse, its the perfect combo for me.
cloud storage and a sandisk 64 gb otg drive, im good...

haha, the guy at the one I was at yesterday straight up said to me, "If you dont like that, we are getting the playbook in a couple of weeks. It's supposed to be the iPad killer"
Which by the way, i hate that term. First off, it means that the iPad is something that is so much better than everything else that it needs to be killed. The ipad isnt better, it is different. It is designed for a certain type of people. I'm glad android isnt anything like iOS. If it was, i wouldnt use it.
Secondly, there is nothing WRONG with iOS, I just dont like it. Wouldnt want to kill it though. Competition is good!

The GTab is different. I bought one from Office Depot in the early part of this year and I picked up another one yesterday.
The screen is different. When completely powered off for me it looks like a very, very dark green or 90% gray. Slightly different colored than the outer frame. Turned on simply incredible. You have to really turn it at some odd angles to get bad viewing. Angles you wouldn't normally view at. I could view it clear as day holding it flat overhead looking directly on. Completely flat and turned on good for internet and reading, just has a silvery or metallic tone, slightly, nothing as describe as before. For viewing pictures flat it has to be directly in front of you not at a distance, but, much better at a slight angle. Video not much change flat serious ghosting on dark colors. Who watches movies with a screen laying flat? You still get the (if someone is looking on over your shoulder) privacy using it from various angles which I like. On my dock, movies look HD TV quality at least for the two "shorts", they included, youtube and others. Mostly now depends on the quality of those movies.
Screen itself when on, is more HD. When flat, blacks show the most amount of distortion. It boots faster too. If you turn your head and look back you are on your desktop. It moves very quickly to the desktop. The browser has been seriously tweaked. Load time is fast and it also manages memory much better. I used on the 1st one, an all-in-one cache cleaner, app killer and memory manager that also let me check the CPU usage. Doesn't require much dump, really none.
Didn't see a need for flash 10.2 since out the box it was lightening quick, responsive and HD. I installed it anyway to see if there was a difference. It felt more weighed down, but the original flash on it said 10.1. All I did was throw Gapps on it without the nvidia drivers like with the first one. It did not need them. Noticed the screen cleaning cloth was different. The first one was a large red one and the new one a small green one.
Final assessment they did some serious work on it. Memory management much improved, seriously impressive. Feels absolutely stable. Not perfect, but they made it a serious contender--pre-honeycomb, to what's already out there and coming out. Apparently they have been paying attention to user comments. I probably will just pick up the 7 inch playbook now for my collection. No need for another 10 inch. Can't believe you can get all this under $300. The browser, the pages load on a dime. It's like--find the site and there it is. No freakin lag time. The loading of pages is spectacular. Moves in--flash on a page like it's handling text, and you can view video on a page with GTab flat, clearly. Nice job VS just throw out honeycomb now.
Yeah this deal was great.
I went to Office Depot to check it out, since I heard they had them there. I was planning on coming home and ordering it online, since they had it labeled as $399.
However when I came home, I discovered they had it for $299 on the website. So I attempted to print out a copy and take it in, only to find out my printer was out of ink. So now having two reasons to head up, I jumped in the car. After pulling it up on their sample GTablet in store, the salesman was like, "Huh, that's a helluva price"
So far I've been happy with it. It was kind of a pain to get nvflash working for some reason, but after doing a re-image to 3588 everything seems fine. Going to put TNT Lite on it and have fun. I agree with the screen being decent, it's not as good as an iPad2 screen but it's got a pretty decent viewing angle. Maybe 60 degrees? Colors are good too. And man, the battery life on this thing is insane compared to my iPhone! I kicked back last night with Angry Birds, next thing I knew I'd been playing for 3 hours and the battery still reported 90%.
Just ordered mine a few hours ago for local pickup, $299 plus tax, cant wait! I hope its worth it I have been on the edge about a tablet for months but for the hardware and some xda action thought I would give it a shot!

I hate that term, too. I think people too often get the mis-informed idea that this tablet or that tablet is just like the ipad. And then once they got it, it doesn't feel like the ipad and they get a huge disappointment.
In fact, I'm sure that half the wooters who ordered a gtab believed that they got something like an ipad. All you have to do is read the woot thread to see how ill-informed people are.
Been on the fence for awhile... finally pulled the trigger and love it
I bought mine last week while on Spring Break in Ft. Myers Beach. The local Comp-USA had it for $299 so I price matched it at Office Depot in case I wanted to return it after I got home. I didn't do much with it last week and wasn't real thrilled with the lackluster tap-n-tap ui, but installed Vegan-tab on it today and absolutely love it. Still trying to learn my way around the android operating system. Lots of playing ahead. And, agree on the battery life. My iPod touch drains quickly on Angry Birds. The g-tablet battery life is much better.
IPad killer ha ha ha. Love that term.
I have this vision of Elmer Dude in his hunting gear saying: "Come hewers you silly iPad" hee hee

I just bought mine there (Office Depot) yesterday, was $299, here in Oregon.
The door knob clerk tried to convince me not to buy, saying they didn't work and they were being recalled and they weren't selling them anymore. Told him I did my homework and I wanted the hardware, not the software, picked it up in front of him, smiled and walked to the counter.

This story is why I fear for the future of the GTablet - even the retailers want it to fade away (I had a similar situation in my local Staples, right before they pulled it).
And it is a shame because, other than the screen angles, the hardware itself is a bargain at $299.

Any idea why retailers and mainstream tech websites just want the gtab to die? This really is a bargain, considering what it could do.

I have had this for one day and am having huge buyers remorse, the screen is really bothering me, has anybody successfully returned one of these to office depot, there policy says this:
"Technology & Furniture - 14 Day Return Policy:

Technology products may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase with Original Receipt, in original packaging and with UPC code intact. If product box is opened, we will offer an exchange only."

Could be one of two things.
1) Not a lot of margin on them. Viewsonic has them listed CHEAP. Not sure what the margin is on something like a Xoom though. Probably not much either.
2) The stock software, at least earlier versions (honestly it wasn't horrible on mine, but after flashing I've not looked back), was nearly unusable. We're all pretty tech savvy here, imagine if you were Joe Schmoe with no tech sense whatsoever? You'd get pissed off and return it.
3) nVidia just announced they are dropping driver support for the hardware. Viewsonic claims development will continue, but the GTab may be at the end of it's life.
I, honestly, had the opposite experience. The local Office Depot only had two tablets on display, this and the Archos 7. The sales associate flat out called the Archos 'crap' and said, "Look at this, it's been here three weeks and the touch screen is busted!".

8.9 iLuv Executive Case w/BT Keyboard

iLuv Executive Case w/BT Keyboard.
I'm ordering one of these today and will update when I get it. You can remove the keyboard if you want and it seems like a fair price compared to the Samsung OEM keyboards.
Edit:
I guess it would help if I included a link, sorry. Here you go:

I agree, please do let us know how it is once you receive it. I am contemplating purchasing it. Frankly, if I was being honest, one of the major factors of this case that is keeping me from getting it is the "iLuv" branding on the clip. I don't think this was a necessary move, but hey at least they made a case with a removable keyboard!
As for Targus' iPad version of the case, it looks extremely nice.
Alot more companies REALLY need to expand out and develop more Samsung 8.9 cases (there aren't that many options).
I will update if I ever receive it. I have to call Amazon customer service. I'm not sure why, I am being told it is on back order, even though if you look at the site today, it says they are in stock. This kind of stuff just completely aggravates me.

I might look at that option as well. After arguing with Amazon for twenty minutes, I told them to cancel the order and refund my card. Makes no sense why my product is on back order when they still as of today show they are in stock from 6 different merchants.
How about this bluetooth case? Looks similar and cheaper cost wise?

Well in case anyone orders one of these let me save you the trouble.
The keyboard is excellent, but the case is sized for a 10" tablet. The pictures on the Amazon.com website are misleading because they show the case and the tablet being perfectly sized together, but now I'm quite sure they are pics of the 10.1 model. Basically it fits fine, but you end up with about 1" of empty space all around the 8.9 (yuck).
http://www.amazon.com/iLuv-Executive-Detachable-Bluetooth-iSK914BLK/dp/B005JK62SU
They sell these things for the iPad, Galaxy 10.1 and a few others with just the pocket that the tablet slides into being custom to each model. So if you don't mind carrying around a 10" case with a really nice BT keyboard then you might like this one. Like I said the keys are really high quality and feel nice to touch type with. I'm sending it back for a refund.
Just curious,
Iluv makes 2 type of keyboard
BLK14 is 8.9" and BLK12 is for 10.1". Pretty sure the one in amazon is 8.9"?

Logitech Keyboard for 10.5 inch version

Logitech announced a keyboard case specific for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S (10inch)
It can be pre-ordered now for 99 USD and should be available this month.

I wonder if I should go for that or the standard Samsung Keyboard. Does anybody now when this would be available?

i'd trust logitech on making a great keyboard more than samsung.
Looks like neither are available yet. Logitech is accepting pre-orders on their site. I was really hoping to be able to find a cheapo Chinese cover, since I've been really happy with the $30 one I bought for my iPad Air, but it looks like there really aren't many keyboard covers to speak of for Android tablets. Dropping $100 on a keyboard that I'll use infrequently is a tough pill to swallow. Bummer.
Looks exactly like the cheap overpriced keyboard they sell at best buy for the tab 3. I like the way the Samsung one looks more so than what I've seen with the previous case/keyboard, I prefer the "Platinum" best buy brand over this one.
BestBuy has these in stock now. Very nice if that's what you are after. The obvious downside is the weight and limited viewing angles.

I went ahead and bought the logitech. Not real happy with it. It doubles (or more than doubles) the weight of the tablet and the keys provide no tactile feedback.

I agree with mitchellvii on this one. It is a very nice implementation, but there are obvious trade offs. I don't see how they could have made it much lighter and included a keyboard. Or, how they could have improve the keyboard feedback without making it thicker. If you want a thin and light protective case with included keyboard, this one will be hard to beat.
I looked at it. Didn't like the glossy black.

Where is the Samsung keyboard?

Anybody know when they plan to release the keyboard that is custom to fit the 10.5? They had it at the release party and is one of the main reasons I bought the tab s
I would also like to know.
I'm disappointed that it wasn't released at the same time as the tab s.
I can't wait to get the titanium bronze keyboard.
Definitely looking forward to this release.
Just picked up my 32 gb 10.5 and was also bummed that the Samsung keyboard case was not available.
But, when in BB, I checked out Logitech's version and was impressed enough to buy it ($99). It's not the same as the official Samsung version, but I don't regret getting it at all. It's really nice.
FWIW.
Wish this form factor would be available for the TabPRO/NotePRO series... I really like the laptop like form.

I've been waiting for this to come out, but I've been busy the last couple of days filming a movie so I haven't had time to check on it. They have it at Best Buy? How do you like it? Does it feel solid, like when you type on it, can you tell from they keys that you've actually pressed something or is it like typing on the ground where you can't tell that it's a keyboard?
Just picked up the Samsung Bluetooth keyboard from Best Buy...
I had checked local inventory online and found that a store close to my home had it "in stock". I purchased it and said I would pick it up in store, and they emailed me back saying that stock was out. I found another store, a bit further away but they did find it for me. This was a pre-purchase as my tab S 10.5 doesn't arrive until tomorrow sometime(c'mon FedEx make it early!), so I can't really give a full breakdown of my opinion on it. I do like the way it looks, it looks nice, matches, and compliments the tab S tablet compared to the black ugly logitech one(IMHO). I will update my thoughts on it tomorrow when I get a chance to play around with the tablet.
I have my Tab S 10.5, and I am awaiting the Titanium Keyboard (delivery expected today). I have the Book case which I truly enjoy.
I will provide a status update later in the week. I'm happy that everlast716 likes its initial presentation, I will be interested in comparing notes.
Peace and blessings,
Azeke
Keyboard Status update:
Here are my initial observations:
1) Beautiful keyboard, looks very clean and professional
2) Keys are responsive (sometimes minor lag), key stroke (1.5mm) and incurved keys a plus
3) Key pitch (16.01mm) a tad small, but it is a 10.5 tablet (use to the Note pro 12.2 keyboard size, since returned)
4) Nice latching mechanism
5) Needs track pad
6) Minimal protection against drops (although not tested)
7) Minor instability when mounted and using touchscreen
I rate this keyboard 8.5/10 and I would purchase it again. Although I wish it was less expensive, will try to price match with BB, once availability increases.
Please feel free to ask any questions.
Peace and Blessings,
Azeke

Swell job on the review Azeke! I'd have to agree with you on all points. I was a little scared before I got the keyboard that closing it would eventually scuff the screen, but that isn't the case. I'm enjoying this keyboard, I just have to say I wish it was about 20 dollars cheaper, after taxes this sucker was about 140 dollar! I used to have an Asus tf700 and the keyboard dock that came with that was $150 when I paid for it, but it had an extended battery to get more juice out of the tablet, and it was a little easier to type on it. Also, it would have been nicer if you could adjust the viewing angle a little bit. Just my two cents lol...Azeke, have you found yourself sliding your finger at the bottom of the keyboard where you might be used to a trackpad yet? Lol, I just did it a minute ago.
Typed on the Samsung Type S keyboard(I had to test it out!)

Thank you for the compliment everlast716, and yes I found myself looking for the trackpad once or twice. I'm going to connect the MS Wedge mouse I have laying around to see how well the k/b and mouse work.
Update: The MS Wedge and Keyboard integrate well, however as of this writing I have limited mouse customization options. I guess that's why Samsung wants you to purchase the Samsung S Action Mouse. All things considered it still works .

Not sure if I want to pull the trigger
I use this one on my Nexus 10. And it will probably work perfectly for the N9 too. I'm suspect Kensington may make one sized for the N9, but the one for 10" tablets will only provide more outer protection for a smaller tablet.
The N9 keyboard is not like the Asus Transformer Keyboards, which were built especially for that specific model of tablet. The N9 keyboard is just a bluetooth keyboard. There's no shortage of them on the market and any should work fine.

and http://www.amazon.com/IVSO-8-9-inch-Ultra-Thin-Bluetooth-Portfolio/dp/B00OM1BDRM/, except one is in stock and the other on October 31 and is 0.40 USD cheaper?
Nevermind: Found the difference after carefully checking the pictures

What's the difference? I can't tell?
1 link, 2nd picture shows that the keys are smaller to have more space for the hand to rest on the keyboard, the 2nd link, first picture is this missing, but bigger keys

Well, there's one big problem with these cases. They cover both speakers. Beats me, why they didn't account for this, when designing the thing.
Great looking covers though.

Yeah, looked at that one too, but I guess I decided that I didn't like the round keys. Also I saw in an interview that it is quite heavy and there for not ideal for using it as a note taking tool in class.
If you get, please let me know how you feel about it

It does, but only as a pairing tool, it uses Bluetooth to maintain the connection.

I bought my Periboard 804 from Perixx and used it heavily about two years with my N7.1. It works like a charm!

I actually got it about a week ago, using it with my N7 while I wait for the N9 to ship. I really like it, yes it's heavy and not really meant to be taken around everywhere, but it's surprisingly sturdy and I think the extra heft will help with keeping the N9 in place when it's docked into the keyboard. Using it to type this post right now

Not bad
As I'm going to use my N9 for taking notes in class, I'm gonna need a lighter keyboard to carry around. So really considering the one from Microsoft

Speaking of using this in class, I've got the N9 and keyboard case pre-ordered but I'm debating the utility of it vs a smaller Windows notebook or convertible. Any thoughts on this?
I'm going to order this and keep my order on the Magic case. Much cheaper than $130
