Authentication Server Down? - AirDroid

Seems like the auth server for airdroid is down. I can't login via web app or PC client.

I have the same problem

It is very intermittent but does work after several attempts for me at least.

Terminal Services Client

I've taken delivery of my new XDA Exec. Yipeee.
I am however having problems getting it to log onto my work ip adress through terminal services client, either via 3G or my Wireless network.
after about 20 seconds I get a screen up saying "The connection to the server has timed out. Try connecting to the Terminal server again".
Help!!!!
Does the computer have a public IP-adress?
I prefer www.logmein.com since you can zoom using it.
hi, yes it is a public IP address.

VPN issues with WM6??

Has anyone had problems specific to WM6 with VPN connections? I use a Microsoft PPTP VPN to connect back to work, and while the VPN connects and I can access resources on the other end with WM5, WM6 authenticates with the VPN server but never actually connects to servers on the other end. I get error 502 (bad gateway) connecting to web pages, and various shades of "the server could not be found" using Terminal Services, etc. The VPN server logs a successful connection from either OS, but only WM5 seems to be able to connect to resources with the tunnel established. I've used Faria's and mfrazz's WM6 ROMs, and neither works.
If the VPN configuration was off in WM6 vs. WM5, I wouldn't get the "VPN user was granted access" events I use to track usage on the VPN server. Has anyone else seen similar issues? I love WM6 aside from this problem, which appears to be a show-stopper. For now, I'm back to Faria's WM5 so I can get some work done.
So let me broaden the question a little. Does anyone use a WM6 ROM and successfully connect to resources behind a PPTP tunnel? Did it take any massaging on the settings to make the connection??
I have test both PPTP & L2TP/IPSec....
I have tested both PPTP & L2TP/IPSec VPN's with WM6 (varients from all the base ROMs 5.2.318, 5.2.1713 & 5.2.1437) and I have got them all to work. PPTP works flawlessly all the time, however L2TP/IPSec seems to have some conflict with the networking stack & the VoIP stack and only works consistently the 1st time following a soft-reset.
I have tested it with Terminal Services Client to access an internal Windows Terminal Server and it worked fine.
What issues are you having? The main problems people seem to have are related to the logic of when a VPN connection will be used instead of the Internet Connection to send traffic - the Connection Settings etc.
Andy
With WM6 I create the VPN connection, add an exception for my work network, then try to open either a web page or RDP. GPRS connects, the VPN server is contacted soon thereafter, and then nothing happens. If I'm on PIE, I get a 502 error if I try to open URLs, and RDP returns "the server could not be located." I'm using servername.my.workdomain.net for RDP, with "*.my.workdomain.net/*" as the exception rule with both WM5 and WM6, but I can't get past the VPN endpoint with WM6. With WM5 (still using it for now), I can get to web pages and remote desktop without any problems.
Since the VPN is apparently connecting, and the VPN server's log shows my account is granted access, I'm thinking it's not the WM6 VPN configuration. I'm getting through that far, but there's something in the WM6 network stack that's not translating the destination URLs or host name correctly.
If only there was client logging for RDP and PIE...
Still trying to work past this. The PIE error I get when connecting to web sites behind the VPN is:
Error 502 - Bad Request
The server could not resolve your request for uri: /
If I try to connect to directories under the root, the error is (for example):
Error 502 - Bad Request
The server could not resolve your request for uri: /docs
Not sure how I can troubleshoot this...

Android Server accessed over 3g

Hello,
I'm trying to develop a server on my android device so that I can access my phone remotely from anywhere. Right now all of the webservers only allow me to access it on my local network. This could be a carrier issue, but am not sure if there is a work around or some other service.
thanks
Remote Web. It's on th market. It's just had this feature added in the last update.
Tried it..still can't access it through Remote Web.
I don't know how "Webkey" (see Market) works, but it have a working web server in the phone and it works over 3g
Webkey has a server that acts as an intermediary. Your browser and phone connect to the server, which gets you around the 3G connection problems.
I tried LazyDroid, Remote Web, and Remote Desktop. They all have a lot of cool features, but the webserver is running on your phone. If you can't reach you phone's IP address, then you are out of luck. (BTW, all three are targeting WiFi and/or USB as your means of connection.)

Strange data problems - Boost Mobile - tethering - treo pro 850

Over the last few hours, my phone tethered has allowed me to ping external clients via their IP, but not their domain name. I can even use nslookup to change the name server to 8.8.8.8 (google NS), which pings successfully, but fails to act as a DNS server.
Data on the phone is fine, but tethering is very sporadic. A few times was able to get some web pages via IE and Firefox, but now things seemed closed.
This is via both USB and Wireless, ICSControl and built-in ICS for WM.
Right now I'm only able to tether by using a http proxy server.
But, without the proxy server, I'm able to browse websites via IP address. Very strange. It's almost as though port 53 is blocked, or maybe just UDP all together is blocked?
Anybody else having DATA problems tethering?

[Q] How to setup and connect to L2TP/IPSec CRT VPN?

Hi,
I've been trying to connect my Desire Z to a VPN that's setup on Windows Server 2003. I've installed the user/CA certificates in my phone, and setup the L2TP/IPSec CRT VPN on the phone. However, when I try to connect, it fails. PSK mode works, and the VPN server is fine since I'm able to connect via a Windows 7 PC. However, when I try to connect to it with my phone, it fails. Using Wireshark, I'm discovering that the failure happens during the key exchange portion. The server requests my phone for the certificate, and doesn't receive anything in return.
Does Android have any specific VPN configurations that I need to set? Also, is there way I can access any logs that say why the server certificate request isn't responded to?
Thanks.
Anyone ?
