[Q] Planning to buy Oneplus One (Indian User) - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi There,
I was planning to buy the Oneplus One especially now when it is officially launched in India. But ,as many of you must be already aware of, that Oneplus One(In India atleast) will not now support CM build firmwares over official updates due to exclusive rights given my Cyanogenmod inc. to Micromax India. I wanted to know if I can install the unofficial builds of CM on the Indian version of this smartphone:confused :? ?????,(considering the fact that there is no change in hardware. )
Also please guide me to the problems you guys have faced in using this smartphone. i have heard abut that dead pixel issue and screen becoming non responsive sometimes and slowdown of the phone after heavy usage..?? how many of these bugs are true and also mention if any bug i am not aware of..
Thanks for reading this post. Hope some quick replies

There is already one Indian discussion thread you will find everything there

Most devices (of cause not including nexus devices) are only maintained by the manufactures, they want to keep control over there devices, and often add extras to android (touch wiz, htc sense etc.). So they lock there devices down so they can add there on extras to new android versions before releasing.
Some times manufactures will drop support for older devices either because they want you to buy a new device, or they dont think the device is up to running the new versions fast enough.
Of cause most good manufactures let you unlock your device and install custom ROMs and thus upgrade yourself

is there any official request to apply? or what does it require?
I hope so much someone can port this ROM

IIRC, locerra was in contact with the teamhacksung mainainers. The P68x0 wasn't officially supported due to some problems with the wireless drivers. I don't know if that's an issue anymore, or if someone could apply to maintain the P68x0. However, the teamhacksung is not active anymore: no Exynos devices are being actively maintained. That will hinder future development.
Device popularity also take place when they choose which device to support. Tab 7.7 was under Apple lawsuit claimed due to it design (as claimed by Apple) which made it sales was going down compared to earlier and later Samsung Tab. Just my 2 cents.

OP please read the Forum Rules on posting this does not belong in the Development Threads....Moved here.
I think Exyons chip-set devices is still officially supported
refer to this thread for N7000, which shares a very common hardware, and they are officially supported with CM10.2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796217
I think it's all about popularity, and availability of maintainers reasons.

We still need developer to port it for us as we cannot straight away flash that ROM. Since there is no official CM maintainer interested in P6800, so no official support for us.

I hoped for a more serious answer than this,
also XDA you should keep away people that cant tell the diferrence between a android smartphone and an iphone from replying to people questions.
Also I would like someone to explain to @The_Merovingian that what I asked is above devices and phone models.
ThankALot

No Cyanogenmod as of now bro. I heard we need to have the sourcecode of our phone for that. They need device trees and some other information for it.
Yh but we can expect CM for it device LE 1S coz it's a China Mobile.. As of we know is that almost every China Mobile will have an open source to make CM.. So stay tuned

You can try this http://www.movilesdualsim.com/tema/aosp-pure_lite-leeco-x500-04-04-2016.124204/ mix of aosp with CM
Don't expect anything like this from le tv as if theirs any cm for their phones then they will loose money as cm will not have. Their subscription based media services.more soever I have never heard of a cyanogen mod for a mediatek device. You can only expect a cm recovery for le TV handset's. And rely on some friends to develop aosp based ROMs for our devices
While I love AOSP ROMs I don't know if I could give up the Fingerprint Scanner.
I'll wait for the next one built around 6.0
The letv team is launching a new phone every month this makes me more assured that the buyers are not going to get support for these phones .the ui is buggy and crappy .camera app is worst than a 5k handset they have huge amount of bloatware already loaded that even 3 GB ram is insufficient to handle those terrorists.rather than addressing these issues they are launching new buggy handsets.my advise is to stay away from this manufacturer

I made a mistake buying Letv
hi
I want to share one thing.
this link youtube link
LeEco Letv Le Official Android Marshmallow Android 6.0.1 Update Released
by user "China Mobiles" is SCAM.
I bought Letv after deciding to go 4 android from winphone. lumia 630.
I had used quite a newer mobiles launched by chinese companies.
After fiddling with Karbon and micromax, thought to buy authentic china instead of indie stamps.
then I was able to grabb gionee P2, and rooting, customizing was breeze.
After buying this letv ****
I do not have control over OTA update.
It forcefully updated over data, ruining 1 month pack.
then I had difficulties in rooting, thanks to Naeem, got it done with TWRP.
Next OTA update, it bricked.
Got stockrom updated to 12s, and I find they are keen on pushing Letv services.
Very Bad People....
I will never buy with Letv brand hereon...
Where do you got stock rom

Android Auto not working anymore since upgraded to Android 11

I'm using the SM-N986B/D variant and had my android auto connect to my car unit (Pioneer AVH - Z5090BT) and ever since got the update to A11, it has stopped connecting. I tried changing cables to connect to know if there was an issue with the cable I was using. Anyone has any solution to this?
This is a known Issue on some devices and some cars.
Follow this thread for details.
One of the solutions there (Specifically for Samsung S21 Ultra):
Please update the apps to the latest version and let us know how it goes. If the issue still persists with Android Auto app (version 6.1 or higher) and Chrome app (version 88.0.4324.181 or higher), please fill out this Contact us form for further assistance.
