[Completed] [Q] How To Delete Swap in Internal Sd - XDA Assist

Hi all,
I've intalled ' Swap for Root ' app and made the swap file of 5gb.. But it does not swap my external sd, but instead to my internal sd.. I checked with 7zipper app and it did has the swap file and reduced my internal sd to 5gb..
When i went to delete the swap file, i didn't get my 5 gb back..
Can someone help me how to get my lost space back. I know with external sd card i can delete partition, but with internal sd how do i go around?
Fyi, my devise is lg g3, d855 vetsion with 32 gb internal sd..
I guess my devise doesn't support for swapping in external sd, but how do i checked?
Can someone point me to a post b4 if any? Sorry guys total new bee on android..

A factory resest is the only way I know of, becuase it will reformat the internal sd card.
Thread(s) that might help after you remove what you have.

[Q] App2SD and partion help needed

Hey guys. I am totally new to the whole Android thing so if I come off sounding stupid with my questions please forgive me in advance. I just bought a Samsung Transform last week and the internal memory is already full. I deleted some apps to make room but that sucks. I wanted to move the apps from the internal memory to my SD card. The sd card that came with the phone is a 2GB Sandisk Micro. I'm assuming you guys are going to tell me to buy a bigger card. I've spent hours researching this and this is what I have done so far. I read that you are supposed to "root" the phone. I have done so with a program called "z4root". I have also downloaded "app2sd" but when I went to run it it wanted to partion the sd card. I'm assuming this also is going to format the card so I should back up the pics and music I have on the card to my PC. The partion part of this thing is where I'm getting confused. I've read to create a swap. The I've read to not create a swap. Whatever the hell a swap is anyway. Then there is the ext2, ext3, ext4, discussions. I'm lost!! All I want to do is put my apps on the SD card so I can free up my internal memory. When I create these partions what size should they be and on what partion do I put the apps? And if I put all my apps on one partion then what is the other partion used for? Please help as I'm not sure how to proceed. Thanks alot.

[Q] Is it safe to parition sd card?

To back up sd card all I must do is just right click on the removable disk and press cop and paste on desktop and that should make a complete copy of my sd card correct?
Also is parition a must? because i recently downloaded MIUI rom and i was running low on space so i thought partioning my sd card would do the trick. Is this the best thing to do?
Thanks and sorry i just recently rooted my phone and im a noob to it

This doesn't really help me
It actually does. You said that you were running low on space. Partitioning divides up space. You're cutting up what you don't have.
First copy SD content to PC, then format it FAT32 or use Panasonic SD formatter. Then u must create 1024kb ext partition on SD. This can be performed by many tools - CWM recovery or DISKPART etc.
Then copy SD content back to card and insert it to phone.
surely you mean mb or 1GB?

miui v10.4 apps not moving to external sd HELP!!!

Hello everyone...
this is my first post on xda since i couldnt find any solution if i'm at fault kindly bear with me
1. i flashed my gt i9003 with miui v10.4 a week ago and everything was going fine
2. but today i suddenly got a notification that my storage was full
3. when i checked i noticed that the apps i installed were on internal sd card which is just 2gb(1.7gb usable)
4. i tried moving some apps which were installed on phone memory only to see them move to internal sd card.
5. i have a 32 gb external sd card which is visible in file explorer and i can browse the files but the apps when moved from phone memory doesnt move to external sd card.
6. kindly help me out with the above issue where i can move the apps i installed on phone memory to external sd card so that i can use it for installing games and not limit its usage to just songs and videos.
7. thank you
As much as i have used miui-gb i think external sd sometimes stay as external_sd folder only...try to format or reflash the rom.
As phone is having 1.85 gb of internal memory why dont u use it until it doesnt get full ???
U can use sd swap which will interchange internal and external sd.

Hi, you can make an ext partition in your external sd card, mount it by apps like link2sd or move2sd and moving application on it.

Search for the swap file on sd card and delete it...
And if u can't it..
Then
BACKUP THE SDCARD DATA..
Delete the partition of sdcard and re create it...
With any application..like (Mini partition wizard)
And ur memory becomes free...
