APP: Quick Circle Apps for Lollipop (V20A and V20C) - G3 Themes and Apps

Hi,
I made modifications in quick circle apps that they can work on Lollipop.
Tested on AndroidNow HD 4.0-5.0.
Changelog:
version 2.6.6:
- Quick circle apps working on Lollipop
- Quick Music working
- added Slovene language
- fixed issue in Quick Calendar - wrong number of days
- hide setting button from Quick Circle

Ty

Quick Circle Apps work without any modification on V20C anyway.

My Music is working fine, but I can see what you mean about hide settings (I have never used that feature before so didn't notice it).

Music work for me too but Quick Music didn't work. You can use other players to play music and control with Quick Music.
In Android 5 they change some functions and you didn't have control of other player.

oops I meant QuickMusic (I use Google Play for music, so I use QuickMusic a fair bit) - in 20A none of the third party apps work, but when I flashed 20C I tested them all and everything (except hide settings) was working fine, at least for me anyway.

Try this to make QuickMusic work. Try opening it once from quickcircle menu (case closed). Then OPEN quicknotifications. If it's the first time, you will be asked to open the case, do it. Now you are in "Notification access" menu. Is there "QuickMusic"? Select it and it should work now with your preferred music app (using Spotify here without problems).

ATM I have no option to check it myself - does QuickCircle from this zip work with CM12, or there's no chance for that?

doesn't work for me, cm12 d851. When I click go to settings it forcecloses

Sorry for being away for such a long time, I sold My G3 for a Note 3, and now I'm back!
So I'm going to fix all the problems ASAP

Its because this mod is made for STOCK firmware (LG's one, with "quick circle" in settings).
--> CM12 is not based on LG firmware, so quick circle doesn't actually work on CM/AOSP ROMs

Welcome back yoavst. I've been keeping an eye on your app on the gpad forum.
I have a request, if it's ok.
Is it possible to add xdabbebs XCam to your quick circle app please?
XCam is a great app but I find I take 80% of my pictures with the quick circle case closed, so have gone back to using the stock camera.
Thanks in advance.

What's the problem with stock camera on QCircle?
My App for G Pad, won't win, Since Android Wifi-Direct API sucks, and Bluetooth is damn too slow.
So it will probably work for me only

There's nothing wrong with the stock camera as such.
I'm a novice at picture taking.
I just see that I can get nicer looking pictures with XCam. Especially when used with the paid app.
Good luck in the competition, the gpad is a very underrated device and it really deserves some love.
LG really should have built upon it this year too, instead of releasing those 3 mediocre tablets.

Hello,

[Q] Request - Any Notification Bar "On/Off" Power mods avail for GB 2.3.3?

Hey Guy's,
I'm currently on WolfBreaks GingerBread 2.3.3 Build v3.7.0, and i'm wondering if there are any compatible Notification bar power control widget mods that i can apply to this rom? His ROM is nearly perfect in my opinion, the only real thing i'm missing is the convenience of being able to turn things on or off from status bar like bluetooth, gps, etc.. like i did with Cyanogen based mods in the past.
This comes in super handy especially when my phone is docked in car mode. Saves me the trouble of having to fiddle with backing out of an app to turn these features on or off while driving.
I am aware that there are apps on the market that already provide this functionality like the Widgetsoid app, however what i'm looking for is a more elagent tightly integrated mod that fits in with the overall theme and does not look like a widget was simply placed on the pull down tray.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help! Also, my apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, i did search but could not find an answer to my question before posting.
I should also clarify what i mean by "tightly integrated", apps like Widgetsoid only "link" to a separate pop-up menu where the control is turned on or off. So it takes several clicks and various screens to turn something on or off. What i want is to be able to turn the various different options on or off with a single click right from the Notification bar, like you find in the Cynaogen mods.

Dude, I use widgetsoid2 since forever and no pop up windows to Turn things on or off........ even with apn.......but its not in the notification window....
Skeb, that's the problem though. When you do place Widgetsoid in the notification bar, it no longer works with a single click. I already have widgets placed on my desktop for for turning various things on or off, and they do work with a single click. However when driving with google navigation turned on for example, i want to be able to do the same by swiping down the notification tray to enable bluetooth with a single click, without having to go to the desktop to use the widget, then go back to navigation.
Try it yourself, when you place any of these widgets on your notifcation tray it will no longer work with a single click, it instead brings up a seperate pop up window.
It's not exactly a deal breaker, but if i can get the same functionality that i had using Cyanogen mod's, then i would be really happy!
Agreed, I would love that feature too!
To those who care about this feature. I just wanted to post an update that WolfBreaks's GB rom will now be introducing Cyanogen style status bar control widgets in his v4.0 rom which will be released very shortly. I also noticed that EWJet CM7 port also includes this. Nice to know i did not have to wait long to see this feature!

There is no such thing as "EWJet CM7 port",
it's still stock SE ROM, tweaked!
Just to clear out the confusion!
But yes, statubar toggles are finally here for stock ROMs!

360 Launcher settings on pull down toggle?

Hey guys, i'm using 360 launcher and was wondering if its possible to put the settings (wifi, 3g, bluetooth etc) in the pull down toggle? I like the widget, but it would be a lot more practical to pull down the toggle and manage this settings from there.
I think that would require your Rom to have this feature. If you're not rooted or on ics, you probably won't get it working

Thank you! I'm currently using this App but it seems to have a couple of problems:
. Once you press an icon toggle auto-hides
. Pressing one icon is like pressing all icons together (like one big button), it's a strange effect, and gathered with the autohide it just makes things confusing :\
this according to the app, has to do with android version 2.3.5, i'll have to find a way to fix this

[APP][4.0+] Settings Extended 1.3 (beta)

Hey guys!
I would like to share with you a new update of Settings Extended app before it is pushed to Google Play. The app allows to put setting toggles to the notification bar, it is very customizable and supports multiple rows of settings, if needed.
It would be nice to have your feedback on it. The app is optimized for phones and 7" tablets. Bigger tablets will be supported soon too.
Thanks!

Well, when you click it, it opens an activity displaying a torch (which isn't necessary at all). When you disable the torch then with your notification (to turn it off), it closes and then opens the Torch activity again.
It would be nice if:
1) Clicking the torch (in the torch activity) toggles the flashlight
OR
2) No Torch activity
Btw, do you have a working torch on all HTC devices? I am a developer too, and I can't get it to work on some of them.
If you want a code snippet or anything as an example I can send it to you.
I copied my flashlight code straight out of the AOKP ROM Source.

Edit: Nice app/update btw, I'm kinda jealous now!

In all my apps I use self-written code for the flashlight. It looks very similar to the one in AOKP/packages_apps_Torch. On HTC phones there is built in flashlight which I start. I only use my flashlight in case standard flashlight app cannot be started. By the way, your flashlight doesn't work on Galaxy Nexus. It flashes once and then switches off immediately.

I cannot change GPS directly because it is a secure setting. Android protects it. That's why a shortcut to system settings is available only.

[app] mLauncher home replacement 2/28/16

This is mLauncher It's built for the nexus player and may work on other androidTV products. It lists all your apps including your sideloaded ones. Only has a couple features but here they are:
Display all your apps, set wallpaper, reboot, power off.
update: 2/28/16
changed the ui a little
DECREASED APP SIZE BY SEVERAL MBS!!!!!!
fixed the built in wallpaper switcher so that it displays all pictures in /sdcard/Pictures
Things to note:
Reboot and power off require root (Why haven't you done it yet?).
For the wallpapers function to work you have to sideload a wallpapers app on your NP.
To open quick settings press play on the remote Y on the game pad.

update 8/23/15
changed ui a little
added clock
fixed settings issue
Isn't it unnecessary to have a power off function on the Nexus Player? If it's an actual shut down rather than a sleep mode, then it would require the user to unplug power from their device and plug it back in before it could be used again.
I've got mine hooked up to a light switch so when I'm about to go to sleep and too lazy to get up it works great. Next day just flip the switch. I was experimenting with deep sleep but the way the stock Rom is set up to get it to work you have to remove daydream from the system and it takes a minute. I think on cm12 it would work. I could add the feature pretty easily. I was gonna add a shortcut to overscan and fix a small issue this week. Just let me know I'll put it in there.

Here's a beta release that fixes an issue I've been having with the app list not updating when you uninstall or install an app. It's a pretty dirty hack but seems to work okay. Remember this is beta and I'll be looking at different ways to implement it. So if your uninstalling and installing apps a lot give it a shot but if not pass on this.

Beta release
Here's a beta release with new sleep function. It requires root access click it and screen goes into deep sleep. There's another way to do this without root but it requires you to change backdrop to none and it takes 10 seconds. Not very functional in my book. Everything else is working great. Thanks

new update out on first page and on google market

Updated to android P

Hi all.
Today I received the new android p update. But unfortunately differences are little to none.
Have you received the update yet?
Whats your experience with android p on lg g7?
Have you noticed much improvements?
I noticed notifications are little bit different, you have option to minimize those permanent notifications without being able to see them in notification bar. And you get options for fast reply messages form viber... probably some other apps. But it wasn't there before. And Gestures are here. I still use app called Gesture control for this coz I like it more like that. And ofc there is different recent apps look. Looks better. Other than that, everything is same.
I use google sms app and have had the notification and fast reply already.
Unfortunately I am disappointed that lg did not put any time to improve the ui.
What about camera? I do not see any improvements.
I noticed also magnified view when I try to select some text. And in camera there is now cine shot which lets you make some photos with some part moving like animation.
There is probably more of changes that I dont notice. I use nova luncher with custom themes so I knot nothing about UI how it looks like now and can't remember how it looked before.
