When I unlocked phone, services google play, Interf. sys. (I think that in english it is launcher) and app installer are crashed. When I click home button always is the black screen (with status bar). After about 30 second phone is restarting.

Indeed battery life is quite good, but it is strange that your phone restart. On mine, appearently is working good without a restart even if i don't use the phone for two hours

One more strange thing i forgot to mention. After intall is finish i was unable to use su becouse binary was not install. After that i do root again with frameroot and i get binary back.
So maybe that is reason of restart?

Force closes and hangs a lot so far. Looks pretty. Still has some Chinese in the base theme.
And permissions manager does not work. (I am not a MIUI newb, I know you have to turn it on).
All due respect to the op and the port dev if you're the same person. But I found MIUI to be unusable on my N7 because o the phone UI. Not even phablet UI. Does MIUI even have a tablet UI? If they did and we can implement it, I would be sweatin MIUI on n7. But I'm not aware of this being the case thus far. To the bestof my knowledge, MIUI is phone only...but I've been wrong before.

We are all wrong at one time or another. Fortunately for you, this is an occasion where it actually benefits you to be wrong Two MIUI builds so far have a more tablet-like UI.
Right here on XDA you can find Timmytim's modded launcher as a flashable zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1875363 After changing your DPI from 320 to 240, you can switch to the custom grid sizes of either 5x5 or 6x6.
Also MIUI.us's N7 release by magiman by default comes in 240 dpi and has custom grid sizes too, including a 6x7 which is identical to stock (technically one row in stock is taken by the search bar).

We needed an xda thread so I started this one and he's running the one at rootz and maybe miui.us

As stated earlier, this version is near stock DPI, stock is 213, this is 225, and with the launcher grid options it works just like the phablet, with the exception of the notification pull down still being full width. Very usable and downright awesome, if you ask me
Hmm...wonder what my issue was?
I wanted to reboot back into recovery to try a different kernel, and when I found that there was no power button mod I figured I would just grab quick boot from the play store instead of walking into the study to plug into my pc. It failed repeatedly to get root...permission manager kept force closing.
I actually repeated the experiment...rewiped, reflashed, etc., with the same results.

The build already has it set to 225, you don't have to do anything other than select your preferred grid size in launcher settings.

Ur right it is 320 which is odd and permissions have to be set manually so when it force closes out u go into the root app and go to whatever app and allow it and that app will have root. It should be corrected next build hopefully this is all strait from china so its the sorrie

But what I don't like about this which is why I think people say its not a true tablet and just a big phone bc it still has phone and messaging options like MMS.apk and phone which is stupid u figure china would make an actual tablet version with ui but hey im glad we got a version tho bit hopefully they will see that this is kinda pointless bc this is what's on my phone but bigger. No change at all. So hopefully we can swap or edit ui and strip all the phone and messaging stuff away to make it a true tablet rom hopefully so with the help of this community we probably can

I think problem is with calibration. Always remember to install new rom only when it is charged above 50%. Best when to install at 100%.
Full charge and full discharge (without intruptions) will help to improve battery calibration.

It's quite obvious that it shouldn't show percentage while charging, it only blinks the percent once and then showing the charging icon.

Since the gift image posted on 1st post does not show percentage when charging... So is obvious anyone could asume it does not show percentage while charging... Now... It shows percentage then?

Hey guys,
When I first bought this device, I thought I could make a phone call or use simple USSD to check balance or to top up. I end up disappointed, as I always have to remove sim card and put on other device just to top up my balance.
However, worry no more. I've managed to modify framework-res.apk to support USSD. And now calling is also possible thanks to animer3009. We did it mate!
I'm happy to present this mod.
REQUIREMENT:
- Sony Xperia Tablet Z LTE- isn't it obvious?
- Stock kitkat .230 rooted
- XTZ-Call&USSD Enabler v2.zip
- C6603_230_Generic_CE_Baseband.ftf
- Revert to Stock.zip
INSTALLATION:
1. Back up ur tablet, just in case
2. Put the XTZ-Call&USSD.zip and Revert to Stock.zip file in internal storage
3. Flash C6603_230_Generic_CE_Baseband.ftf through flashtool
4. Simply flash XTZ-Call&USSD Enabler v2.zip through recovery
5. Reboot and enjoy calling through your tablet and use USSD function
BUT IF BOOTLOOP Proceed to #6
6. Reboot and flash Revert to Stock.zip
7. Reboot and let stock framework to load
8. Reboot and do #4 again
Notice: If you are coming from other than stock rom. You have to let the newly installed stock rom to boot first then restart and follow the instructions!
ALTERNATE WAY: (not my works)
animer3009 said:
Hi people!
There is other solution to:
1) flash baseband
2) install xposed frimework (will reboot)
3) install and enable in xposed: kitkat sms+tether enabler (reboot)
4) install dialer
It works grate for me...

Known bug:
-Voice call since I only know how to make USSD to work. I suspected that baseband modification is needed in order to make voice call.
- Can't make a call in LTE

V1- initial release
V2- zipaligned

Well, if u are coming from non-stock rom! I meant if u just flash the stock rom then the framework it will stuck in bootloop. U have to let the phone to boot for the first time. Then flash the modified framework.

wait lemme get this straight.. what are the criteria.. I am and have always been on stock rom I never had custom rom and my bootloader is locked (i havent unlocked it and probabaly never will) and its rooted... what more are the criteria?
I tried to flash again but then my sd cad was not mounted and then I had brick.. for almost an hour... now I am back to 4.2 (and rooted just now) i shall flash 4.4.2 and root it lets see and try again if it wont work then either you have to change the instruction or it is not working.
