Is there any way to increase the default flashlight brightness in the cm 12 roms. I don't like how dim it is. It was a lot brighter in cm 11

Hi,
Anyone know how I can up the brightness 1 or 2 notches from the default Auto Adjust Backlight settings?
Basically I love the light sensor i.e. auto backlight adjustment feature but in a normal room I would like the backlight up 1 notch from the brightness based on my ambient light.
I can switch off the auto adjustment but when I go out into the bright sunlight, I can't read a single thing on screen until I go and max out the backlight manually.
Hope some one can "shed some light" on this! ;-) hahaha.
I'm using cyanogenmod 7.2 stable with mazout's kernel and while the built in auto brightness works fine, other apps cannot get the light sensor value. The name of the sensor shows "Dummy LGE-Star light sensor". This prevents from using other auto brightness apps like lux auto brightness.
Any way for other apps to get the light sensor value?
I'm running the official CM 10 nightly build and I use the Automatic brightness setting because I find it very useful but it also uses more battery. In CM the brightness settings can be adjusted under "Automatic backlight". What settings have you all found to balance both aesthetics and battery?
I use 0 up to 225 lux, as that covers mostly indoor use. After that:
The Stock CM 11 (non 11s) flashlight is super Dim.
Is there anyway to make the stock light a bit brighter, so I can just use it vs using a random 3rd party app that isn't controlled via gestures.
Thanks!
Hello, I have the redmi 6 for almost a year and so far so good with how the automatic brightness worked.
The brightness slider was working as a suggestion for the ambient light sensor so if I found the automatic being too dim I could just up the slider to my tastes and have the automatic lighting adjusting accordingly.
After the last update to MIUI 11 and android 9 however the automatic light is just way to dark and the slider is moving completely on it's own without taking input from me, so I just can't have both automatic brightness and configure how strong it will be at the same time.
Is this a bug or the way android 9 works? Any workaround to change it back to the old functionality?
