Here's a quick review of the ray-out `Rubber Coating Shell Jacket' for the HTC Desire HD.
I think a back cover is a bit useless, given it can survive being driven over. Unless you prevent scratches and chips, but that has never really bothered me.
Yeah. It wouldn't be my first choice of protection. But the stores in Japan here were slow to get any cases in when the Desire HD was released in November.
It's been OK minimal protection for a couple of months. I do care about scratches and chips.
I like the look of the Otterbox cases - but I've not seen them in the flesh yet.
The Otterbox cases are some of the best, if not the best, cases available. I have a Commuter one for my DHD and absolutely love it.
Yeah. I'm tempted to get that model I think. It looks like a smart choice.

I'll second that. I have the otterbox commuter also, apart from the fact the rubber shell is a lint magnet, it's one of the best cases available IMO.
Ive got a white version bought from ebay for £3. It looks similar to yours but mine protetcs the camera because the lens surround protrudes. I dont use it because the top and bottom of the DHD is not protected.
Yep, 3 quid sounds more like it. Many things are way overpriced here.
In November when the Desire HD came out, they were selling SoftBank screen protectors (good quality but the usual stick on protector) for about 13 quid. (or 21 dollars). SoftBank is the only main Carrier here selling the Desire HD, the iPhones and the iPad.

Always been fan of Incipio Feather cases (Nexus S and GNex) but they don't have anything yet for N4.
I've been eyeing these along with the Rearth ones. My only concern with these is that they don't seem to have a soft-touch/rubberised finish. I've used a number of Case-Mate Barely There cases and really appreciate the subtle extra grip.
Looking forward to seeing what people have to say about them when they arrive.
I had 3 of these for my GS III and have ordered 3 more for my N4; one for me, one for my wife, and one as a spare different color. They were EXCELLENT on the GSIII; it felt so secure and clipped onto the phone that it felt as if it was built with it from the beginning. I can only hope it fits the N4 the same.
I also had the Rearth cases on my GSIII and they were good too, but that obviously hasn't been the same on the N4.

Mine were on the gsiii. On eBay there are white, black, red, and brown; they have the same texture as my gsiii cases had. The blue, yellow, and other black appear to be slightly different.
Ordered mine a week ago.

Ya I ordered a black one on Nov 29th. To me it looks at least in the pictures like a allot more premium product then the Rearth Ringke case so I went with it. Anyway no case for me now so can't wait to get it.

Just wanted to chime in here - I ordered one of these cases on 11/28 and received on 12/4. Incredibly fast shipping from Hong Kong (from the ebay seller ecdigi.shop).
The case itself is very nice, and came in retail packaging. Good grip, and the texture on the back is better than I thought it would be. Also included a dry-application screen protector that shockingly had the correct sensor cutouts. My only complaint (and I knew this before I purchased) is that the case doesn't wrap the entire phone - the top and bottom edges are still exposed.

You're complaint is how they've always been, with the top and bottom exposed, but I'm glad that everything is good!! I ordered mine last week too s maybe they will get here sooner.

wow thats some great fast shipping, I wish I had ordered from them as I just realized it like 60 cents cheaper then from the buyer I bought it from and don't think I will get it for at least another 10 days.

Good to hear that the shipping is fast! I bought a red one on the 27th from the same seller, and while I haven't received mine yet (tracking is still at In Transit, "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment") I'm hopeful that I shouldn't have to wait too much longer.
How much of a lip does the case provide around the screen, or is it like the Feather cases in that it is more or less flush with the screen? The images from Nillkin made it kind of hard for me to gauge at a glance.

Sorry, no pics at the moment - it's the wife's phone so it's in the city today. I'll try to get some pics of the case tonight.
In regard to the lip around the screen - it is just about flush. I put it face-down on the counter and was able to see light out the other side, but just minimally (I'd say 1mm or less clearance).

EDIT: Gave up and bought the red one. Was really torn between buying the ultraslim blue case, but then decided against it .. Well , should reach around the same time as the mobile I suppose

Just received my white carbon fiber dbrand skin in the mail today, ordered it on monday. I got the back skin with the camera protector and i decided to upload some for those who may thinking about buying. I also included a few pics of what it looks like with my verus crystal light case on. Pics taken with my old nokia lumia 928.
Nice! My ocd sees the camera skin is not oriented right so the weave of the carbon fiber is not the same direction as the rest.
Does it make it slippery?

Lol i didnt even notice, just fixed it, thanks. But the texture feels like cardboard or paper. There really isn't much grip at all which is why i use it with the case

Literally isnt hard at all to remove, and leaves behind no sticky residue at all. None.

I ordered a matte white front and back without the camera sticker but they sent that too anyway which was very kind of them! There was also a home button sticker in there, I got curious and wanted to know if the finger print scanner would work with it in. It didnt lol. I had to take it off again.
Hi guys. Does anyone have this case in Black or Gunmetal? If so, could you please tell me the texture of the case because I just got mine in White and the texture is much less "rubbery" than the Black one I got for my Nexus 5. The nice grippy rubberized texture is one of the reasons why I bought this case. But Im disappointed and wondering if this is uniquely a White color issue? I miss the feel of the back of my Nexus 5 and wondering if I should exchange it for the Gunmetal or Black color to get that rubberized texture. Thanks in advance.

Mine (black) seems to be about the same texture as a Nexus 5. Adds a good bit of grip to the phone.
I wrote a detailed review of this case in both black and gunmetal in my case OP. The black one has a Nexus 5 rubberized texture as another member mentioned while the gunmetal is slippery and has a plasticity feel.

Thank you. I did read the review but didn't see any mention of the gunmetal color. It appears that BOTH the gunmetal and white color have a more slippery and plasticity feel to them. The black color is the one that have a more rubbery feel reminiscent of the Nexus 5. Looks like I got the wrong one for my need

I know I wrote up a bit on it, but I might have forgotten to post it I'll double check and add it later today if it's not there like you mentioned.
The black one is the only color with that finish for future reference.

If you read my reviews (assuming you didn't based on your response), then you would see that my review was for the black colored case, and the gunmetal was the one I needed to add. I will post my comments about it, and the pictures at some point today (most likely just post the comments because I need to charge my DSLR's batteries).

At first I wanted to take the rhinoshield and I changed my mind because it is too thick compared to the Tech21 and the slider button on the shell I do not like at all. This one is quite fine with a unique design and a nice opaque transparency which makes it even more attractive. we have a good impression when we hold the oneplus 6 with. I wanted something other than TPU and I was looking for a shell shock i does not regret my purchase. I will post photos for those interested.

Definitly a good choice, but only for the white and red OP6 i think. I would have prefered a black variant too. Anyway, the Evo Shell i've bought is a nice choice, too. The quality is great and Tech21's service is outstanding! Got 2 cases replaced in the past without any issues.
Yes me too i would have prefer a black version but the transparent is also good. I got the midnight black version and on the sun the case make a really good rainbow effect which is beautiful. Sometime a little blue with a purple color. I like it.
