[Q] Modern Combat 4: No gyroscope option - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After a Gameloft update back in June sometime, the gyroscope option disappeared from the settings menu in MC4 on my Nexus 5.
I have now updated to Lollipop by doing a full factory image flash, but still the same issue with MC4: no gyroscope option available. I can download an older version from the Amazon app store that works OK and has gyroscope option, but it's buggy especially on Lollipop.
Any ideas what's causing this or suggestions for a fix? Gameloft has been particularly unresponsive on this issue.
Also, on MC5, the gyroscope is way to sensitive, even though I set the sensitivity all the way down. It's so bad it's basically unplayable using gyro.

GTA 3 accelerometer problems on g2x Issues

The game views my phone as if its a tablet by thinking its facing up when I play it instead of how the game is played sideways, the touch screen steering arrows are annoying to use, is there a fix to this? And it'ts not my phone cause I can play tons of other games without no issue while using the accelerometer problems on g2x and I've calibrated my accelerometer problems on g2x and also tried turning the phone on sideways.

gyroscope problem?

Hey everyone. I just installed modern combat4 and the gyroscope aiming is crazy. Left and right aims up and down. And up and down, left and right. Its like its backwards. How can i fix this? i dont see any gyro settings in the system settings.
Thanks
Sounds like the game wants you to play in portrait mode.
Never seen any options to recalibrate the gyroscope but there must be a way to do it.

Modern combat 5 aiming issue

I am using Alcatel flash 2.My device is rooted.I bought a new Bluetooth gamepad Ipega PG-9068 for Modern combat 5. Everything went fine but the problem is with the rotate camera button. It works too fast for this reason I can't aim at all. I tried increasing and decreasing controller sensitivity and aiming sensitivity but nothing works. If i tried to move the rotate camera button very little in the it moves 180° or 360°. Please help me is there any way to fix or stable my aiming in Mc5.

What do I do about a non-functioning gyroscope/accelerometer?

A while ago—and I didn't think I noticed it right away, so it's hard to say exactly when or if it was immediately after an Android update—my Pixel 4a's gyroscope and accelerometer stopped functioning. I installed the sensor logging app phyphox from F-Droid and it tells me my device doesn't appear to have a gyroscope or accelerometer, although other sensors like the light and proximity sensors work. I am running stock Android with the latest updates. The phone is otherwise functional, but the problems I've noticed are:
* AR/VR functionality doesn't work at all
* Location sensing is less accurate when stationary or at walking speeds
* I can't rotate the screen even with Auto Rotate enabled, except in apps like YouTube that enable manual rotation
* If I take photos or videos in landscape orientation I have to manually rotate them afterwards
I tried uninstalling some old apps and starting the phone in safe mode, but the problem of not being able to rotate the screen with Auto Rotate persisted. I then tried a factory reset; this didn't help either. Today I got the update from Android 11 to Android 12; the update went fine but I still have this problem on Android 12.
Has anyone solved this issue with the Pixel 4a? What should I try next?
Reflash to last working rom.
If that fails it likely a mobo failure.
Once I have a fast, stable OS that's fulfilling its mission I don't update. Updates aren't needed or even desirable most times* especially since Android R raised its ugly head.
Pie and Q are still the more desirable variants.
Since Q Android has been in a high G flat spin and all they do in response is mash the throttles into the full afterburner indents.
That won't get it... *splash*
Scoped storage splashed 2x
*if you the latest Android hype, yes; if you want the most functional and user friendly, no.
Choose wisely or your it's a lick on you.

Nope. I haven't tried downgrading or flashing ROMs because I'm worried it will interfere with my employer's device policy that allows me to view my work email, calendar, etc on my phone, and also because I don't really have the time. So for now I'm just living with the issue.
