This is my first issue reporting for airdroid in XDA!!..
I have updated to airdroid 3 and downloaded the windows native client. I have a rooted device running CM12. When I have given the root access while tried to open the apps tab in the native client, the device rebooted twice and then the native client never get connected to the device to see the apps.
I have a log taken in my device while giving the root access and waiting for few mins for the connection. (Although i coun't able to grab it while reboot )
Please advice on the same.
Btw loved the native clientt..especially very useful for file transfer :good::good:

Hi. I bought china phone (Star A5000) last week.
I have three problems:
1. I cannot login to skype. The login screen appears and than works and works and works but nothing happens. Password and login are correct.
2. I cannot login to my VPN. Login and password are correct. I try to login via PPTP, and always get message: "Unable to connect to the network. Do you want to try again?" On windows and other android phone (android 2.1) this issue doesn't occure.
3. Is any new ron for this device?
Device specification:
Android version: 2.2.1
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9
Model number: e1000_gq2 2011/3/28
1) MT6512 is slow CP for Skype, you can use only SkypeLite
2) I think the same problem like with Skype
3) Yes, new version http://u.115.com/file/bh5sj2qo it only for resistive screens

Hi,
Would you please clear your browser's cache for a try? If it still fails, please tell us your AirDroid account and do a test on tr.airdroid.com to help us find the problem.

Sorry, I missed your response. Somehow email notification was off for this thread. I traced the problem down to Chrome flagging the Javascript as unsafe code and not letting it run. Once I let the code execute, Airdroid worked as expected. Does this happen w/all Chrome variants or is this unique to my config?
Also, what's the outlook for Firefox support?
Just saw the news about v3. That should solve my browser issues.

Bug Description: When using the web interface via Chrome, I am unable to transfer files to my phone. It simply stays stuck at 0%. When I used internet explorer, it worked immediately.
I've been looking for a working MAC spoofer solution (app/mod/patch) for a test phone running Android Marshmallow but I didn't find anything that works.
currently the test device is a LG G3 running fulmics ROM 5.0 (based on Android marshmallow / LG 30F), but it seems the matter is rather android 6.x related.
The Aim is to change/spoof temporarily or permanently the hardware MAC address of the internal network adapter (eth0, but mainly wlan0).
So there are a lot of apps out there in the market which claim to do exactly that. I tried many of them, but nothing works as intended.
To name a few of them:
- Wifi Mac Changer
- ChameleMAC
- Mac Address Ghost
- MacChanger
- MacSpoofer
- many more tested
- Phone ID Changer / Device ID Changer app/module for xposed
even the most promising one:
- Pry-Fi by chainfire
does not work, it just crashes while trying to spoof.
all of them claim to change the mac, but it's not working on this device or general on an android 6.x version.
either they crash or they fail in spoofing.
so I tried to spoof the MAC manually in a Terminal with BusyBox installed and a command like:
busybox ifconfig wlan0 hw ether 00:11:22:33:44:55, checked if it worked with iplink cmd and it did. But when I try to connect to my access point, I can't join the wifi network it always neglects my pw. when I turn wifi on/off, the MAC gets reset to original hardware MAC and I can again connect to my wifi AP.
So even when trying to spoof the MAC manually it doesn't work.
And I don't know if it is a problem with Android 6.x, the device itself or the ROM i used.
Does anybody else have a working mac spoofer solution for an Android 6.x version smartphone or have an idea how to this working?
Did you also try connecting to an open network after the busybox method ? I read somewhere the pw issue was only when connecting to secured networks.
Other than that ... I'm also looking for a reliable solution. No luck so far.
Also , you might want to try / read http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-network-ghost-mac-hostname-spoofer-t3145866
Is explains why the busybox method fails with WPA networks.
thanx for the link. It was interesting.
unfortunately the app doesn't work either. so we still have no working solution or app that does spoof the mac on marshmallow devices.
