Data working doesnt deppend on flashing with TWRP... It deppends on the ROM you choose to flash with it. Nowadays most ROMs have data connection working propperly. Read each ROM thread to know of data is working or not. :good:
Also, you should do this kind of questions on the Questions & Answers section man.

Theres a whole bunch of roms in the dev section... Just pick and chose, read the instructions, and everything should work fine.
Your issue is probably that you didnt read, and therefore didnt fastboot flash the boot.img ...

Read directions on the ROM page your doing it wrong... All the ROMs work fine.. You have to flash boot.IMG from fastboot.. And you don't restore the ROM you install it in recovery... If you read the first page of any ROM download page there are usually instructions you need to take the time to read the thread

After you Install the new rom go on the PC look for ur Rom and extract the Boot.img in the folder where ur fastboot is, get ur phone to the bootloader, then on ur pc flash the Rom Boot.img "Fastboot flash boot boot.img" and done. if you its still now working after that then you are def doing something wrong.

If you can get into CWM can't you flash a different recovery, maybe TWRP, then flash a good ROM? I'm a fan of the OMNIROM Kit Kat 4.4.2, but there's lots to choose from.
I had trouble installing ROMs from CWM, but all that resolved with TWRP. I used 2.7.0.1 of TWRP, by the way.
Good luck, and report back.
Marc
Update to latest twrp (I prefer philz advanced recovery, myself) and try flashing again.
Oh, and if possible use a different ROM file as your download may have been corrupted.

Just download latest TWRP from Android Andi here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47970089 flash it thru your CWM, reboot into your new recovery, wipe system and flash a different ROM. Make sure you re-download whatever ROM you are going to use because as previously stated you may have gotten a bad download.

Read my last post. Use a different ROM then. There are plenty to choose from.
To be clear what you need to do is use the CWM you have to install A DIFFERENT recovery, one more compatible with a lot of the current custom ROMs. I have used TWRP so for example:
1. Boot to CWM with TWRP package on your microSD
2. Flash TWRP
3. Reboot into recovery... CWM will be gone and you will have TWRP instead
4. In Twrp Wipe caches and format system
5. Still In Twrp, Flash ROM of your choice from ROM downloaded onto your microsd
6. Reboot system and give it time.
Let us know how it goes!
Thank you everyone
Thank You Thanx a lot for helping me guys
I downloaded TWRP n then downloaded the latest version of OMNI Rom and it worked
Thnak u soo much guys

Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2535083and use the Philz recovery link for your device. Once finished you can reflash your existing TWRP zip you used earlier to regain TWRP recovery if thats what you want. Or you can just leave as is and have Philz recovery as that is a very good one as well. Your choice.
You could also use the SuperSu link from here http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu and just flash that. I believe that will work just the same. I havent, but have heard it works as well
Thanx

updating recovery instructions are all in their threads. Now the simple answer is yes and of course it does not effect anything but the bigger issue is because you are unsure of this may I please suggest you do more reading up on rooting recoveries and such before going forward.
There have been some issues with TWRP versions causing issues so pleaser read their official and unofficial thread. Also why are you upgrading your recovery and lastly have you made backups of your efs?
If any of what I said sounds crazy a little reading of the TWRP threads will enlighten you

[TUTORIAL] [Noob-Friendly] How to Flash CM12 from Stock ROM

This is my first tutorial so please tell me if I missed anything This thread will teach some noobs here who are on stock 4.1.2/4.2.2 and want to flash latest roms like cm12/cm11/Euphoria Os and etc. This tutorial is self-tested by me!
______________________________________________________________________________
1) Firstly, you should unlock the bootloader. To do this go to this thread> http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/tutorial-bootloader-unlocking-relocking-t2332900 (after flashing you may get a bootloop so flash stock ftf to recover > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/xperia-l-how-to-flash-tool-unlocking-t2337955 http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/sony-xperia-l-flashable-ftfs-locked-t2560642
2)You should install a recovery > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/orig-development/cwm-recovery-installer-t2589320 for this you need root > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/rootkit-xperia-l-15-3-1-17-1-click-root-t2591290 Backup your stock rom(optional) and TA(if the phone gets damaged during warranty) and copy rom zip file to sd card http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/orig-development/4-4-3-aospa-legacy-4-4-beta1-t2571273
3) In recovery Wipe cache/dalvic/art cache> Factory data reset> clean to install a new rom
4) Flash the rom and Gapps for specific rom(may not be included so google (the version of android gapps) and flash it after rom. Edit: Flashing kk is not necessary.
5) Reboot and wait for some time... Instalation takes some time... :good:
___________________________________________________________________________
6)(BONUS) If you want a good recovery like philz/twrp > http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/themes-apps/beta-fota-cwm-one-klick-t3068084 just install an app and click install philz. The app that installs a recovery is unique. It won't be overriden by another rom's recovery and u won't have to flash tz boot.img again and again... Thumbs up if you liked my tutorial :good: I do appreciate it! And of course, if you need any help just comment here or add me on facebook.
I'm here to help you guys!
Edit: There are so many good roms for our XL on xda( I don't compare hard work of devs). Here are some ones that I tried and suggest checking out:

Install the app and click philz if your bootloader is unlocked. BTW it's written in that thread that can only be installed on cm12/cm11 etc. But not on stock. If you want a recovery on stock rom try the step 2)
you should wipe cache and dalvik after flashing
and one question why is KK recommended first?
No need to wipe cache/dalvic

cm11 isnt nessasary...
cm11 overrides system and userdata partition...
cm12 does the same... so there isnt any differenz in flashing cm12 from stock or from cm11....
only thing usefull is to flash latest stock before flashing cm12 ... because other than custom roms ...stock rom will override nearly all partitions.... that means better modem...baseband ...etc... so you should come from last stock

I have a HUGE problem. Please help me ASAP!
I just flashed my Xperia L to CM 12.1. I was already on CM 12 before. So I went into recovery, wiped everything and installed the new ROM from zip. Everything worked fine except for the network signal. I was getting no network signal at all. So, when I rebooted the phone, I saw that the ThunderZap kernel was also removed. I tried to flash the kernel using flashtool, but this particular variant has 2 .img files (bootlp and bootkk). I flashed them both using the FlashtTool. Now, when I reboot my phone, all I see is the ThunderZap logo. Please help me ASAP, as this is my only primary driver phone.
I rooted the phone using the install.bat toolkit. unlocked the bootloader using flashtool and imei on sony. flashed stock rom. then installed recovery and flashed a custom rom.
The wifi stopped working. cant even turn it on. (the date keeps reseting to 1970 on every flash btw)
Tried miui rom, cm12, stryfex roms. same issue..
I tried:
Installing a different version of flashtool
Changing wlan.ko(can't find a prima folder)
Installing a different kernel
Flashtool says error flash aborted on flashing stock ftf
(Closing TA partition

You do not need to be rooted in order to flash a custom ROM, however you would need to have a custom recovery ( I would recommend using TWRP, but the CyanogenMod recovery works just fine )

Sorry I didn't get to you sooner, but what you have to wipe is dalvik/ART cache, cache, system, and data partitions. Don't wipe anything else. That should work. If you still run into what you ran into before, a boot loop, then that must ultimately mean that this version of the CyanogenMod is incompatible with your variant of the HTC One A9... and that's only if you still run into it after wiping the partitions I listed up above... and don't worry about asking so many questions, it's no problem. Good luck
