Hi, I hope this isn't redundant, I've been searching through this forum but haven't found what I'm looking for.
I have a GT-N8010 bought in Poland that is still running stock 4.1.2. I noticed Samsung released a stock 4.4.2 for the Poland 8010 but the PDA/Modem number is different from mine. Is this 4.4.2 safe for me to use or will it cause trouble?

Hi,
After downgrading from Gelly Bean back to Gingerbread 2.3.6 - because of known issues involving lagging and stuff - on my samsung Galaxy S advance GT-i9070 two problems occur.
First one: the dutch language (the one of the Netherlands) can't be found.
Second: My internet connection isn't working.
I've downgraded to gingerbread using odin and the wrong CSC setting, I think.
However, I can't find the proper one for the Netherlands in order to flash the ROM
Please help!!
I hope to read some answer soon.
regards Ropz
Hi,
I'm trying to help a friend who has a Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P5100 3G 10.1
Her tablet is having some software issues, so I looked in Sammobile and found out that the firmware from her country (Egypt) is only 4.0.4
and for the same tablet in the UK section is 4.2.2
So, my question is, if I install for her a software which is meant for another country, is that gonna be a problem?
If the tablet was 4G, then installing the UK version would be bad idea because the 4G won't work, but it's 3G only as I mentioned.
I also know from my S4 that kitkat comes with special security software + knox of course (I think so!), so downgrading is out of the question, so I don't want to do wrong by her.
The tab is not rooted
Thanks guys for the input!
You should be able to flash an aosp kk rom with no issue as long as its for the p5100

Thank you very much :good:
I forgot to mention that the version for BTU in the UK section is only 4.0.3 and only O2 has 4.2.2
so obviously I chose O2
I'm downloading it as we speak
Hello,
I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 (2012 Edition), WiFi only, bought in Canada with N8010XXUCMH2 build, and running stock 4.1.2.
I want to upgrade to KitKat and was waiting for the stock update but it does not appear to be coming (for Canada and N8010XXUCMH2).
My questions is which is the closest stock ROM I can use instead? And will it work out of the box or will I require other modifications? I have searched around the forums for an have found various answers to which ROM I should be using and to be honest I am a little confused.
Lastly, after upgrading to this ROM, can I root and what is recommended as an easy method to do this?
Has anyone tried any other country ROMS?
Did you find any solution DrZEUS? I use the same version and cannot find any solution yet. I want to root my device but cannot find anything for this specific version.
I'll keep looking. If I find a solution I'll (try to remember to) post it here.
If you have the N8010 then its always been rootable .
This might just piss everyone off but I am not a seasoned poster so here it is.
I rooted my phone using framaroot then installed CWM via rom manager then tried, neatrom, spirit, pacman, cyanogenmod. all are kitkat 4.4.4 based.
My problem is the wifi keeps disconnecting and connecting spasmodically, after that occasional behaviour though it tends to become dormant, with the toggle tile showing a grey colour. I dont know how to identify the cause, I have checked for hardware problems like the bat500 leak issue, tried setting manual ip settings etc. I am not familiar with all the settings in these more modern versions of android so maybe there is something basic I am missing.
I have done a bug report but have no idea what to look for
Phone specific details
Model: GT-I9100T
Country: New Zealand
Version: Android 4.1.2
Product Code: TNZ
PDA: I9100TDVLSH
CSC: I9100TTNZLSA
MODEM: I9100TDVLS3
was it because the phone has been rooted? or flashed with the incorrect recovery module. Can I recover from this and go back to the jelly bean 4.1.2 stock that was on there originally (i forgot to nandroid after rooting, in the haste of new rom fun, I know what a dickhead) I cant find any original stock JB files for my location.
Any help would be most valued.... Im not retarded but definately feel like it now that Ive been 24hrs trying to solve it.
Thanks in advance
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Not all Wi-Fi issues are device related. Many of them are router related. Have you rebooted your router? Also, is it's firmware up to date?

It appears that this is a device specific issue, I have searched but cannot find any actual solutions to the problem...
When samsung put out the jb 4.1.2 update they did a crappy job with the modem and then pulled device support.
This issue as far as I can tell is to do with the modem and its drivers (I think) this issue developed with the upgrade to the new 4.1.2 JB stock rom. there were plenty of people having problems on a stock rom platform.
I am guessing that the custom roms dont fix this issue in kit kat 4.4.4 does anyone know if there is progress with the lollipop releases.
Does anyone know what I can do about it? should I open up some of the old threads?
thanks for your reply

It would be best to ask in the device specific threads. They are the experts on your device.
