A new version was just released today that should take care of that.
I got the current release 12/14 and I had root on the build previous to that, but not the new one.

No idea. I've been running v3 for a couple of days now and haven't lost root once yet. I know after flashing it, I had to let the system settle and then reboot to get root to stick and I did a clean flash of v3 too.
Try flashing the v2.38 beta from the OP again over the top of what you have and see if it fixes anything.
Did Sammy keep all of the 5.0 goodies such as multi user??

Things Removed or Don't work with Touchwiz 5.0
Has anyone had any issues sending a text longer than 160 characters or sending certain emojis? I am using stock messaging. This is the only thing I am having issues with. Saw others with similar issues, but no answers. Everything else on L runs amazing.

Yes, a known issue with stock messaging.
I'm not really sure about the emojis though but I think those need to be recognized by both ends to translate properly so L app must have some that aren't recognized by the receiving mms app. I think its funny that the xda mobile app and the desktop web forum, the available emojis don't all translate over between them either.
Just noticed that if I put my finger near the hart rate sensor it lights up I remember someone mentioned it but I could not locate a solution for it

I just tried it and works ok from Shealth. If I'm not running Shealth, mine doesn't seem to do anything when I cover it then remove my finger.

It will only run on the Android 5.0 bootloader. If not, You have to follow instructions to flash proper firmware/bootloader.

We cant do that yet. That is why I added the recents shortcut to the pulldown in the new stuff addon.
Edit: Maybe if I ask the question differently someone will know the answer.
Does anyone know why the stock clock app doesn't show up as a choice in Daydream? I just wondered if it is rom specific or just Lollipop. Thanks.

What u feel does exists wid cm on n5 ....i didnt fondled wid governor settings (so that these hiccups can be removed) .. May be u could give a try.
Contains a lot of bug, I cannot wake up my phone from a deep sleep. Hope you will fix it soon.

i just flashed as secondary rom, toke a little long to flash and boot, but it's working fine here
Yeah, it would be better in economy mode is disabled 2 cores, so the frequency than to underestimate.

Don't bother. Wait a bit for CM12 nightlies to start rolling out.
im using the the "almost" latest nightly on my phone without any bugs. I've installed all of my usual apps, games, etc and no issues. One thing I didnt try: bluetooth audio in my car. I'm going to test it today. 4G, Battery life is OK, Wifi OK, No laggs or no crashes. I wait for the RC release Nice job CM!

It's going to hell!!! Why I decided to update from 8.0 to 8.9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crying::crying::crying:
Firstly I just made an update - I couldn't sign in to Google Acount! NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! :crying:
Then I decided to make full wipe, clean install.... now I can sign in in google account, but!!!!!!!!!!!! but SU doesn't work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's wrong with this rom? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Man there should be a best of XDA. Cause for a first post this qualifies for the hall of shame.
Nothing is wrong with the ROM. I've flashed it dozens of times and never lost root or access to any of my accounts.

because he did a wipe and forgot to turn root on again in settings.
No issues.... But lots of icons.
Everything seems to be working on for me. Had a bit of a hard time getting it loaded but once I did it booted up.
I got a lot of icons going on up in the top right. LTE always showing. location always on and WiFi has the exclamation point but it's all working.

What recovery? It's probably a recovery message about the update-binary being out of date, If so, it doesn't affect anything. It's just a warning.

I have a Nexus 4 with slimkat 4.4.4 and I just received a notification to download lollipop by google.
Is it normal? If I do the download, what would happen?

I think your gonna be stuck to Lollipop!! Dont know about the root.....
But i thinks it weird that you receive OTA with a Custom Rom.
Just downloaded Slim LP Alpha build (sorry i checked only nexus 5) so be patience!!
You can also download Lollipop en maybe root again until Slim LP is ready

Hey guys great rom it's running soo smooth awesome job on the latest lollipop alpha but there's only one thing I found that irritates me. When I charge my phone when it's powered off it always goes to recovery (twrp) About 15 seconds after showing the battery icon it just jumps straight to recovery...why??? Does not having the latest bootloader have anything to do with it cuz I don't have the latest lollipop one but I'm up to date with everything else like twrp, radio, supersu, gapps, etc . Or could it be the rom being in early stages and all...?

Here are the issues I've noticed thus far:
- Root access broken (the listed solution of flashing the 2.2.4 beta of SuperSU through TWRP is no longer viable as the link has been taken down by Chainfire due to numerous issues)
- The dialer crashes when attempting to import contacts
- The usual Bluetooth and WiFi tethering issues as in previous CM builds
- The camera periodically drops its connection
Other than the expected bugs, this new build of Cyanogenmod is smooth, and given some time and improvement, can definitely become a daily driver. Great job!

in the Beta SuperSU thread someone posted a link to 2.23 a couple pages back, but 2.25 was just posted by Chainfire...
Noticed that:
NFC doesn't work - try to toggle it and it greys out until the screen locks, once unlocked it is available to try enabling again..was excited to try tap n go..oh well

Yes. Looks like the DPI was altered. Anyone know of a good way to fix this? I've tried a couple of different apps and neither one of them worked.

Fixed. I edited build prop to 640 (Stock) Let's see if it breaks anything

You have to edit the build.prop and then reboot

You can also change your xda theme to dark, this is for SM-N9005 (HLTE) (Snapdragon) only. Also the ViPER4Android.7z contains all the presents for ViPER FX so don't forget to download that too.
I use XDA's dark theme so it didn't show up this way, sorry about that, fixing that now, also adding a few things I forgot about.

Are there any other issues you noticed other than gapps?
I'm going to have to start from scratch to fix this, when I flashed gapps to this rom it was the first thing (Before Mods) so I believe that's the issue. But if there's anything you'd like to see added or removed let me know so I can get that done in this next version.

Yes! I 100% understand. I'm a work in progress developer. I love what you all do, it just gets my mind going with new release techniques and innovative ideas! I am revamping the thread I try to make it as easy as possible for the user to look through quotes of DEVs work that is included within the final. Thanks must be given at the user level of this thread. I will not provide illegal material nor copy another's work without proper recognition to it's author.

New version is coming very soon! everything has been fixed I'm getting everything together now and I have removed a lot of miscellaneous things.

Warning: This build is unstable. We do not recommend installing it unless you are willing to deal with some issues. For instance, the front-facing camera is broken along with AR Emoji. The new night theme cannot be disabled. More features could be broken that we haven’t seen it yet. Do NOT install this unless you are comfortable with Odin, because while it’s possible to downgrade to Oreo, it’s not easy to do so.
You can follow the instructions below to install the first Android Pie build on your Samsung Galaxy S9+ with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.

Yeap i warned you before because it is leak/beta/unstable
Let's hope that a second build comes out soon enough
I love what I'm seeing with this update, love navigation gestures compared to navbar because it give me more screen. Love the new Dialer because everything is now down, very handy for one handed usage. Good one Samsung. :highfive:

I use the Android messing app and it works fine. I haven't tried the Samsung msg app yet.

Is the pop up related to a notification from the Security Log Agent app? Is so the the following command will deactivate that app 'adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.samsung.android.securitylogagent'
Don't know how safe it is to not have that app but that's what I did.

Happy to help. I also wiped cache in recovery afterwards.

Hi everyboby
Flash this update last night and I loved, but couple things is annoing( not abig deal but....)
AOD is not working, SPLITSCREEN is working but now settings for it , every time I try to change a theme (official one from Samsung store) phone is reboot and everything is start from begining( notifications sounds and some other setings) any idea why? And in DeX station it's working fine but phone is still lit up.

If I want to downgrade from pie to oreo do I just follow this guide below or is there more to it?
