[Completed] [Q] Update Oneplus One OTA - India - XDA Assist

Hi Guys,
Oneplus one is about to release in India, but CM team has screwed things up, it won't receive OTA.
BUT, is there any source to download the OTA manually and apply them ? I'm also guessing, for that the phone will have to be unlocked and rooted and have a custom bootloader like TWRP to apply the update ?
And, just in case, if accidentally anyone updates the phone with the inland version of android which will come along as beta version for now, any stock 11S version might come in handy, any links or source for that too ?
Just when things started to get better and Amazon India took the deal, CM had to screw us all right in the *** ... why such jerks ? Just WHY !! ...
So,
1) How to apply OTA if I chose to use CM 11S
2) Any news if I can put CM12S (or something like that for CM12 for OPO) on phone if that comes along for international market
3) If I accidentally put that local team made version of android (which wont be customizable for sure not at least like CM ) and wanna go back to 11S how to do that ?
Please help, its about to launch on 2nd Dec, and IF I'm lucky might get to lay hand on one ... But again, this entire new thing keeps me troubled ... what if EVERYTHING goes wrong ?
But why CM ?

Hi,
You can ask about those concerns here,

Good luck!

Official CM11?

Hi everybody, this is my first thread here.
I'm currently on stock 4.1.1 after getting s-off and supercid but then soft bricking trying to update hboot (I think I restarted my phone while it was updating) . Little bit put off trying to load a custom ROM for now (having to reconnect gmail accounts, redownload apps etc) but I'd obviously make the exception for 4.4.
I've seen a few unofficial CM11 builds are already out there in some form or another but my question is will there be an official CM11 for the HOS? If not what will be the closest thing to it? Someone that knows more about CM11 (in general), will it be long until they have a fully functional 4.4 ROM with all features working?
Thanks!
Cyanogenmod will finish cm 10.2 before moving on to 11

Its MOST likely, sense we are still part of the HTC "One" line. But Cyanogenmod Developers have stated that just because Google optimized android 4.4 for older devices that they still wouldn't go back and support them. But our device is a monster, and its never old to me! One thing I can tell you is the HTC Evo 4G wont be seeing official builds:laugh:
CM11 is already running faster and most stable than CM10.2, so i would imagine we'll start getting official releases at some point

Hello,
I'm getting HTTP 404 while browsing https://carbonrom.org/.
What's happening?
Thanks
Disabling NFC
Greetings,
I've been experimenting with different ROMs. This week I've been using CarbonROM on HTC One XL (evita), HTC One (m7), and LG Google Nexus 5 (hammerhead). On all three, there is an option under "Wireless & Networks" to turn OFF NFC by deselecting a check box.
The only problem is, whenever I come back to this screen, the checkbox has been re-selected. (My changes do not persist.).
Weird.
One the evita, NFC has drained the battery down 20% in 3 hours with the phone in a standby condition.
Is this a known bug? Or am I doing something wrong?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers,
dakota
Pandora
For some reason on the nightlies past late september, I cannot get pandora working. It will play one song (or less) and then load up the next album art, etc., and then doesn't play music. It sits there while I scream at it to play. Does anyone else have this issue? Pandora is my one source of music and I can't keep going back out and in pandora to get the next song for 3 hour trips! Any help is appreciated!
So today I got notified of a new nightly update. I was scared to do it at first, seeing the 5.0 sources being available n stuff.. but then I thought, this is way too soon. But, that got me thinking: when carbon gets updated to 5.0, will it be ok to do what I always do, using the updater and just dirty flash the next nightly over the other? If yes, will there be a special notification saying this is the 5.0 update? Because now I got a gapps file and elementalx kernel in the auto flash folder, and if there's a whole new Android, those files will most likely break everything.
No I'm not asking when 5.0 is getting merged, just what's best to do when it happens. @CarbonDev

Lol...no when 5.0 is out you will have to do a complete clean wipe and will not be notified through the delta system about it. Old gapps and kernels most likely also wont work on the new 5.0 either.

I stopped updating the rom when it changed base to CM, but today I finally decided to give it a try. Now I'm getting some performance issues and I think it might be because of the kernel.
My question is: is kernel part of the nandroid backup?
I have a nandroid backup of my pre-update rom and I want to be able to switch back to it without any issues.
Thanks in advance.
Hello everybody, is there an official final release of this ROM?
Another question, are there among the features DSB, Shake Events, Multi window and Proximity wake up support?
Any plans to add long press nav bar shortcuts??
I popped my cherry.....
After 30 or so years on this planet, I've just lost my virginity to a ROM called carbon... My custom rom flashing virginity that is.
Thanks for this smooth ROM @CarbonDev - you've brought new life to my N5
????

Can't revert to stock from beanstalk 4.4 on my sgh-t599n?

Ok, I found something a while back about another file needing to be flashed in order to get back to stock 4.1.2 but I have since not been able to find it again. I have been running beanstalk for a while now on my galaxy exhibit (sgh-t599n) but every time I try to flash tyson's pre-rooted stock rom, I get caught in a bootloop. I am running twrp 2.7 (or whatever the most up to date one is that ends in .7 lol....can't remember). What I read before is that there is something pertaining to the params that needs to be flashed first before reverting but I've since lost that page and haven't been able to pin down the correct thread for a while now. I'm hoping someone can just explain to me what the issue is so that I can get back to stock. I'd like to have that option available and maybe try carbon or vanir. Please hit me back guys. Thanks a million.
Hi there,
I founded few discussions about your device but nothing about downgrade to JB (Jelly Bean) from KK (Kit Kat). Also you can register an account on XDA forum and ask directly here:

[Completed] Custom Huawei U8666E Fusion 2 rom Bluetooth error

So I decided to take my old AT&T Fusion 2 and upgrade it to android 4.0.3. I installed clockworkmod 6 and flashed the ProFusion rom with CyanogenMod 10.1. All went well, but bluetooth isn't working and the site that the rom originally came from, no longer exists so the bluetooth fix method that is used to fix the issue isn't available for download. Is there a way (and I'm new to android development, but willing to take any steps necessary) to rewrite the bluetooth code so that my phone is compatible with bluetooth again? This rom is the only rom compatible with my phone

Hi,
Thank you for using XDA assist
It looks like there is no dedicated forum for your device. However there is a general forum for android here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where you can try to ask to get the expert's help
Good luck.

Stucked on 9.6.4.0

Hello guys ! I just bought this mix 2s a couple of days ago. Also this is my first experience with MIUI so please if I ask something stupid or retarded just forgive me .
When I took the phone out of the box it updated right away to 9.6.4.0 , but as we all know MIUI 10 is already out there for a while . Still my phone doesn't find any update to MIUI 10.
I saw that I can download the firmware from MIUI website and flash it through the update section three dots etc . But since this is my first experience with MIUI I don't know what to think about this flashing method and if I should wait longer for ota or I'm stuck somehow on this version or if I should update like I mentioned before.
Some advice please ? Cheers !
Updating by downloading firmware and using the updater app is safe but decide whether you want to stay on the stable ROM (which normally gets updated monthly) or the developer (which normally gets updated weekly). The MIUI Developer ROM is more stable and bug free than any "stable" version of Oxygen I ran when I had an OP5 so don't let the developer tag scare you.
I would also strongly recommend doing a complete factory reset after upgrading from MIUI 9 to MIUI 10 or Android Oreo to Pie so you get the best user experience. You might end up with some buggy behavior otherwise and since you just got the phone and aren't familiar with MIUI you might not realize that something isn't working like it should.

Well I would like to thank you from the heart for the complex answer ! I was just wondering why my phone can't find the MIUI 10 update if it's already been out for a while. I'm thinking to wait for the Android Pie stable release before I flash a new rom. MIUI 10 has great new features but I'll just wait for MIUI 10 pie. I have to get used to MIUI anyway so I think that I will enjoy 9 while I still have it. Thank you for you time and quick answer! Cheers mate !

...Or you can download rom, and flash it with MiFlash...it's easy, and fast.

You must have unlocked bootloader.
Thank you very much guys!
