So like me you went ahead and got that 20 dollar black friday tablet and are looking for things to do. Well lets start by rooting the thing. Obviously I've gotta say it's your device and anything you do to it is your choice so no crying please if you mess it up. This is really simple thanks to the guys from kingo root.
First things first lets turn on developer options go to settings about tablet click on build number about ten times and it unlocks developer options or you. Now we click developer options and turn on usb debugging then go to security and check unknown sources and uncheck verify apps. Now plug it in.
For the most part my laptop just installed the drivers. But if yours doesn't then you'll need to install the android sdk and ... this parts in the video but if you got questions pm me.
next download kingo root from here and run it with the voyager plugged in. It'll take a couple minutes and a reboot will happen but that's it it's done.
I made a video here hope it helps
WARNING don't go crazy deleting things just yet it certain things like most google apps can be deleted but certain system apps it's a no go and we don't have any kind of recovery but in the mean while we've got root
Hello,I got a similar RCA device with Kitkat 4.4.2 like yours.
The model number is RCT6672W23 and I am having trouble
I can't get mine to root because Kingo does not recognize my device despite installing the Google USB Driver revision 11 via the Android SDK Manager itself.
I previously had the Android SDK Manager installed for a FireTV from months before.
The autoplay menu even comes up,and I can access folders within my device.
Edit:Then again,I am not using a proper wire, and it reads a seperate name MTG above the RCT name.
Will the main wire work just fine from the RCA website below my devices info?

Do you mean the usb cord? I just used any old usb cord lying around. Do you have developer options enabled?
All steps have been done, but it could not detect it.
I had it all done in developer options, the animation scales smaller, the USB Debugging enabled, and I switched to ART mode.
I am guessing ART mode is causing it to not detect correctly?
On an unrelated note,it died randomly.
I was using it,and it shut off by itself, and would not turn back on,not even with the charger trick.
I had it on ART mode since the first time using it.
Don't buy RCA brand tablets, lesson learned.
RCA is one of the best brands of VCRs from the early days, not a good tablet brand though.
Last year's tablet model has videos of the battery swelling like a bag of popcorn, mine couldn't even last a week.

Off hand I would guess it's a driver thing and yeah rca isn't the brand to buy.
Root Master roots this tablet!
Almost...
I'm trying Kingo on a RCT6773W22 and it detects, goes thru the process but I'm noting on one reboot that it's hanging due to the length of time this tab tends to take on a full reboot w/RCA graphics, etc. I'm like 30 seconds short of it fully rebooting and then being able to be redetected but I hit the timeout error. When I hit Finish, it even resets Kingo and redetects! So that's not the issue, the timeout is. Any ways to screw with that to make Kingo hang longer or a total Fastboot setting for the tab until I get it rooted?
RCT6672W23 will root with kingo. But there isn't a custom recovery for it
Had to use the windows version but this cheap crapper is now rooted.. Switching from kingo su to supersu then deleting bloat ?
Anyone have root for this same device with their upgraded lollipop rom ? Amazingly, the bloatware is now removable without root, but I still want full control of MY tablet.
i have the 22b with lollipop and i wanted to root it but none of the know methods for the 22 work, any ideas?
can someone please make a full backup of this tablet and upload somewhere so i can unbrick my tablet.

Hey guys, I just want to share this:
My tablet is the RCA 7 VOYAGER II build number rct6773w22b running Android 5.0
After looking thru pages and pages on this Thread, I finally rooted my tablet, wich for some reason didn't work with Kingo Root or Iroot at first
I'm not a pro but I'm not an amateur either, here is what happened:
1-Opened the dev options and setup Debug mode. Downloaded SDK drivers, tried Kingo root, it wouldnt detect my tablet, someone suggested to install PDANET, it worked. Kingo root detected my tablet but the root failed all the time
2-Tried Iroot (pc version), detected my tablet, but again failed to root
3-Finally I decided to go to Device manager (Windows 10) and unnistall all the drivers related to the Android Phone.
4-Launched Iroot and installed the driver automaticly. But it continued to fail the rooting process
5-Launched Kingo Root detected my tablet with the Driver Iroot installed and finally, the root was succeful
Why this happended, I dont know but it's now working on my tablet. I hope it helps

Kingo root bricked my device, can you upload proof of your voyager 2 being rooted(video proof).

Bricked your device? really?. This method works but the root does not hold. I can't use a different su binary as well so this is a good start now just to find out how to make the root stick.

Yes it is fully bricked, cannot charge cannot go into recovery. I have another but to scared to try it because I don't have any backup tablets anymore.

Hmmm I don't know how you bricked it, You sure it is a 22b and not just a 22? I have been trying to get root to stick on my two 22b's and I can't see anyway you can possibly brick these devices as it would appear that nothing is getting written to the rom. Too bad and maybe next time pay attention to your model numbers. I know this thread is for the 22 model and not the 22b but this root method mentioned was for the 22b. Now if I can get the su binary to update thru supersu then I can get root to stick but as it is now this method is useless as the root will not stick but it is a good start.
The 22 does not have blue tooth, but the 22b does. My ex finances soon has the 22, her daughter has the 22b i have the 22b. He has the 22, because it has root and I removed YouTube and the camera app, as well as added all YouTube address to the host file to block the browers from going to YouTube. But we started with 2 of the 22's one bricked, so rca replaced it with a 22b. Bricked it trying to root it. Rca is a bad brand of tablets. It could have just been a bad tablet just like the 22 that bricked itself for no reason.I can replace the battery with a charged one but it just boot loops and can't get into recovery. So I'll have rca replace it again and sell the sob and buy a Samsung tablet.

And can't you just use kingo su? That's what I have to use on the 22 because super su won't update the binary.

Not sure if you made any progress but I followed the tips on Modaco and rooted my Hudle in two pretty simple steps:
1. Download the ADB driver installer
2. Download Kingo root app
3. Run ADB
4. Connect Hudl to PC and allow ADB to update drivers
5. Run the Kingo app
6. Bingo! One rooted Hudl
I sincerely hope there's some dev work on this tablet but it's obviously going to rely on the UK devs. Would be great to get CM10.2 custom tablet rom!

It was complicated by the fact that no single site had got it correct
I had a windows 8.1 laptop
the google adb drivers refused to install under any comparability settings
step 1
download the samsung driver file at the bottom of the page in androidxda forum (search samsung usb drivers)
install this by running the exe (hudl does not need to be plugged in)
step 2 enable hudl usb developer mode
was not obvious, but its the same as for a nexus 7
Toggle on "USB Debugging" in the "Developer Options" area of Settings.
If you do not see "Developer Options", go into "About device" in Settings and tap on the "Build number" entry seven times, which will unlock "Developer Options".
then turn on usb debugging
step 3 get hudl to link on usb using adb
plug hudl in usb
go to device manager (control panel, system , device manager)
you should see hudl there with exclamation mark by it.
click on hudl, click driver, update driver, browse my computer for driver software, let me pick from list of compatible drivers
select the samsung adb, click yes
Now you can root it
Ok I ran the kingo and it worked smoothly and set up superuser
i tested it with titanium backup
The hudl is not a phone so I don't care if ime goes to china
:| So is there no way to root without this 'Kingo' thing that might be iffy?
As much as I'd like root for fun stuff, the main reason is that I no longer use my Hudl 2. It just sits on a shelf because I'm fed up of being woken up in the middle of the night by it randomly resetting (my other devices don't do this) and playing a hugely loud jingle thing. Such a huge flaw for anyone who can't store their device miles from their bed. I don't even turn it on because I'm home so little that there's just no point waiting for it to boot to use it briefly and if I forget to turn it off it could ruin an entire night's sleep.
Ugh, they need to remove the jingle if they're selling a device with resetting problems.
Successfully rooted Hudl HT7S3 with latest build.
I know this is an old thread, but in case anyone is in the same boat as me, where you just bought one of these tablets second hand and nothing seems to work for rooting the device.
I tried everything and was stuck in a constant loop on kingo. Had the right drivers and did all the steps correctly (thanks to the previous post-ers but didn't work for me due to having the latest 2014 build)
Anyway a youtube comment directed me to this version http://www.kingroot.net/down#root
Install the top one ON THE TABLET and just run it.
Now it says this device is not compatible. Just click "try anyway"
Easy as that. I'm now playing the PS4 via remote play port with dualshock 4 (sixaxis).
Yes
Yes there is a way to root without kingo root this is how I did it I got the INTEL x86 CWM or trwp and installed it using the Intel program that you can find thru uncle google it installs cwm or twrp thennu can root you hudl2 with supersu.zip BINGO YOUR ROOTED
If needed I will post links to get these files
What are thee benifit of rooting if ? It seems like a lot of hassle plus i don't have a PC anymore. PLus this kingo app I've red a few trying about it..
I have a hudl sitting there doing nothing and I like to mess with things but I'm not sure about a few things plus my PC is broken..
Hi,
Can somebody put on a new topic my request, please?
I am one of the unlucky Hudl 1 owner whom factory reset the Hudl a few weeks ago.
Tesco stopped it's server and somehow the tablet needs the server to the initial setup.
Is there any way to somehow brake this step, root it and put a custom ROM on it?
Could this idea solve the problem?

Your issue with the factory reset Hudl stuck on initial setup should be resolved, see here:
https://www.modaco.com/forums/topic...-tesco-update-server-not-switched-on/?page=11
So, that at least should mean your Hudl need no longer be used as an expensive doorstop.
You may want to read this Guardian article:

I'm not aware of any 'reliable' methods of rooting or any custom ROMs being available.
I didn't know where else to post this so I thought I would put it here.
I recently just purchased a HP 8 1401 tablet and I'm wondering on the root method for it? any help would be great!
Try SRS Root.

I used the cydia impactor to root - its working (like with the most other android-devices).
But after rooting the device, i got the problem, that the tab is factoryreseted after every reboot! Any one else with this problem or has anybody an hint to disable the resetting to factory defaults after every reboot?
Edit: is there anyone, who can build an TWRP or CWM for this tablet ???

sorry - no chance
The problem is not coming from busybox like on other tablets. So i have no idea to solve this. Only way to disable the reseting on every reboot is to enable "fast reboot" option in the build.prop,-file. If that's not the way you want, you have to flash back your factory image. Because there is a bug in the factory-recovery (not mounting SD-card), you can only use the adb-flash-option!!! If you are back on the factory 1.0.7 Firm, there is an OTA-update to 1.0.8 available. If you confirm this update, be carefuly to root again. You can NOT flash the factory firmware again to date, because there is a date-check inside the factory-firmwares, so you can't flash an older ROM over an newer!
how would i get about reinstating the main firmware i rooted mine also and its doing the same thing with the factory reset ........

Being an avid user of GravityBox, a device without it isn't worth having. A three days ago I was handed down an HP 8 1401 from a cousin, within that time, I've had it factory reset on me twice, primarily due to the fact that this device really doesn't like a root. At first I followed this forum using the earlier suggested SRSRoot. Long story short, it didn't work because SRSRoot could not detect the device, and yes it was over mass media storage, the proper way to connect it.
I later moved on to Root Genius, where if you reset your device, or shut it off, it factory reset. Then I rolled with it and promised to always charge it, then out of the blue it just factory reset. yay.
Don't try rooting this device. HP are rooting nazis.
Also, my device now has the reset issue
Join the club
Unfortunately I am another sucker with the continuous reset so hoping one of you genius's out there can solve it.
I was trying to test the otg to a 3g dongle and couldn't access wireless and networks so tried to root and bingo- reset every power down!!!!!:crying:
good news;
there is an update to Android 4.4.2 (kitkat) aviable. Look on the HP-Support page for the Software update!
If your device has the "root-reset-bug" you (only) can update by using adb sideload in recovery mode.
yea, i update it but now root is gone , i wanna root back pls help

I side loaded the update - no difference as far as resetting goes - every power down still gives a full reset. Now I can't go into recovery mode.
Now I know why I stopped buying HP products years ago - I hope someone comes up with a fix soon as this is a right pain in the rs.
U can go to recovery mode by pressing: on and volume up a long time. And when the hp sign comes up let go of the on button, but still pressing the volume up till u get recovery.

Still no one to root it with ota 4.4.2 update on it ?, or did anyone try to placa any custom rom. Is this possible??????
interested in rooting this device... what is the current status about factory resetting?
still resets
I have removed my root and it still resets every time - I hate this - it is a real pest- Can someone design a new rom or someway to overcome this fault.
HP must know and can't care.
Any news on this?
GUYS WITH REBOOT PROBLEM, HAVE YOU TRIED RESTORING JB IMAGE? It is available for download on HP website for this tablet. Just go to HP website > Support > Download drivers > Under "Find my product" type "HP 8 1401 Tablet" > Select HP 8 1401 Tablet > Under "Select or confirm your operating system and click Next" select Android and press Next button > You'll now see "(+) Software - Solutions", click "+" and now select ethier US version or European,Asian.. Please try that and post if it works. Thanks.
So I was able to get the next generation up (1411) rooted with NO REBOOT ISSUE!!!! Try this method on the 1401
I downloaded PDAnet+ from play store and for the PC. It loaded a daemon on my tablet but was unable to root (took forever). Once done I downloaded KINGO Root and it successfully rooted my tablet in minutes. Root Checker verified SuperSU permissions granted all good to go. Hope this helps others.
YOU MUST INSTALL PDANET AND TRY ROOT THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP. IT SEEMS PDANET PREPS THE TABLET FOR KINGO TO SUCCESSFULLY ROOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow I was expecting a thank you rather than being "suspicious'. I am actually a bit offended by this but ill be an adult and understand people's need to be cautious.
In all honesty I have no concrete idea why Pdanet needs to be installed and attempted first, by all means try kingo root first. I'm just letting others know my steps. I immediately Uninstalled Pdanet and the kingo daemon immediately after root. I can say that everything is functioning as intended and the root is true (freedom, game Guardian and lucky patcher all working)
I looked up how to root the allwinner version (33) and came across many people with the same allwinner but belonging to cheap no name tablets. All of them had issues with the other root methods and were able to root via the PDANET/KINGO combo. If you feel too much is at risk to even try this then please don't try it. I respect everyone's privacy and was just trying to share what worked for me. I can provide screenshot and video proof if need be.
Sorry to be so suspicious, I was just trying to help!

Now that I think about it Pdanet had me activate USB tether within the app (which ties all good with the official description of pdanet) in order for it to see my tablet despite the HP g2 drivers being installed. I guess whatever it installs or configures within the tablet and/or computer allows it to be "open enough" for a successful kingo root.
anyone manage to solve factory reset problem?

hi
i managed to fix my device from reseting to factory settings after every restart. i dont know how but i did it :smileyvery-happy:
mine problem beside reseting to factory settings after every restart was not beeing able to load update.zip from internal or external memory in recovery. so i have tried fev solutions i found on web. i think i succeeded when my battery dropped below 30% and i wasnt able to start my device so i pluged my charger and device started, i let it little to charge and reboot it to recovery from settings (i had sd card in with update.zip from hp page on it) and i choose apply from external and recovery recocnized sd card and file update.zip on it. i loaded it and installation finished. i rebooted system, set up my google account and everything else, shut down device and turn it back on and everything was ok :smileyvery-happyD

Update: Contacted Bobj, no case for this model, yet. Maybe if it becomes popular enough someone will make a good case for it.

I'm not sure yet if he used iRoot or vRoot.

Try the last version of vRoot, the predecessor to iRoot.
103 vs 203 models
There are actually two variations of the 103's. The difference between them is one has a usb keyboard that plugs into the mini usb 2.0. But this makes it impossible to charge the tablet and use the keyboard at the same time. The other has a bluetooth keyboard. Now, the differences betwen the 103 and 203 are that the 203 has a better cpu, has android 4.4.x v.s. android 4.2.x, and 203 has a "dock" on the back for the manufacturer keyboard. So I believe you would be safe in using the same screen protectors. As far as rooting, I am waiting for a confirmed method before rooting.
My own question... please state whethere or not your keyboard on the 203 has which of the two functionalities:
While the tablet is on and in use, pressing the lock button in the top left corner of the folio keyboard and holding it for three seconds should lock the tablet. Now here is where users may (and should) differ. Does your keyboard stay on or turn off? I ask because I picked up four of these, and I set all of them up at the same time, and happened to notice two of them had keyboards turning off with the tablet, and two had keyboards not turning off, allowing the keyboard to be used to wake the tablets. So I tested to see if it was keyboard specific, and it is not. I checked to see if the model numbers were different and they are not. Curious as I would like all four to keep their keyboards on unless the user chooses to slide the switch to turn them off.

Working Root!!!
I tried Framaroot, Iroot, Towelroot, Eroot, Kingo, Odin, Poot, and many other programs to root my RCA pro 10 (RCT6203W46). None of them worked. After many many annoying hours, I found a process that worked. Install Vroot version 1.7.8 or version 1.7.9 on your computer. I have windows 7 and it worked. Also, make sure 'USB Debugging' is checked in Developer options and make sure you have the correct driver for the tablet. I think I got my driver from the kingo program. Or the ADB Driver Installation program. The Vroot program is in chineese. I used google translate on a different phone to translate. It didn't help much. Click the fancy buttons and the right option when "yes" or "No" options pop up. There will be a check if it all worked. After this process, you can disconnect from the computer and download Terminal Emulator. Look up the youtube video of how to replace chineese (vroot) superuser with supersu. Then you have Super SU app lke any other root and can delete the chineese apps. Hope this helped :good:
Here's what I did.

I rooted mine but it was a jumbled mess of a process. First install SuperSU, then install and run iroot, afyer that using pdanet drivers plug it into your computer and use kango, open SuperSu and update your binary, finally use a root browser and remove the app iroot installed. Iroot installs the su binary but doesnt set anything up properly, kango will set everything up but cant install the files needed for some reason so you have to use them together. Its messy but it works.

Hope this helped :good:

worked great. Thank you
Kingo does work
I tried them all, everything posted here. vRoot is what worked. Anyone get a push for a firmware update within the last couple of days? If so is it 4.4.4? Anyone confirm we can root that?
Also, please go here and request a forum for this device so we can get some development input

When I tried KingRoot, the app would state that it successfully rooted the device; however if you tried su via terminal or even using a root verifier app, it was not. Now maybe you did find success somehow with using it. What version of Android is your Pro 10 operating with? How did you verify root?

Thank you. Will try it out after work and let you know if it worked.
Forgot to type this out before, but I've also been experimenting with trying to unlock the bootloader on my tablet through the adb interface so that I can use kingo since I saw an earlier post saying it worked. Of course I had to try, and kept running into the "recovery partition doesn't support flash" error. So far no luck in cracking the bootloader tho.
Sorry if I sent multiple replies, was have issues with XDA. Let me know how you progress with your work on the bootloader. I have not had opportunity to tinker with that on this device. I am hoping someone comes up with a custom recovery though so that we can tinker without worrying too much about bricking.

Got the download installed and ran it. Now have new apps, but no new functionalitys. Looking like my best bet is going to be unlocking the bootloader and seeing if I can somehow use that to force the device to support flashing via fastboot then trying kingo
Well root wouldn't give you any new functionality per sey other than having permissions. Have you verified that you do or don't have root access? Does the 'su' command work in terminal?
Title pretty much says it all. I've tried countless one click root programs with no progress whatsoever. I've spent hours searching and nothing comes up for this phone. Does anyone know a way to root this thing??

same here, a guy who works for kyocera told me that this model cant be put into recovery mode. Any help appreciated
I'm joining the request. As stated above, I've combed the web for anything on it with no success. Is this because of the fairly new release? Or possibly the trouble they're in because of Microsoft?
Either way I feel there should be an exploit out for it by now...
I too am looking fir an exploit for this device, and have scoured Google, Bing, and Yahoo, only to find nothing.

This model (Hydro Wave C6740N) CAN be put into Recovery Mode, using ADB.
Since Windows (edit: XP) USB drivers for the C6740N Wave are not released by Kyocera (yet), you (edit: can) use a Linux or OS X machine to connect using USB, to use ADB on the C6740N. (Since USB connection to C6740N "just works" on those platforms.)
I have used ADB on a Macbook running OS X to reboot my Hydro Wave into Recovery Mode, and performed cache wipe successfully. Also performed backups using ADB.
Kyocera advised (via email) that the Wave can be put into Recovery using Volume Down + Power key combo. Not true, the key combo does not work.
Kyocera also advised (via chat) that the Windows USB driver for any Hydro family device will work for the Wave. Also not true (I tried it). (Edit: I tried the drivers with Windows XP. It looks like the Kyocera Windows USB drivers may simply be USB modem drivers only, on any case.)
OS X or Linux using ADB is the ticket, no USB driver necessary. (Edit: But see other posts about using Windows 10 too.)
I'm also keenly interested in rooting the C6740N, but an absolute noob. The C6740N has a lot going for it, but a few shortcomings that root would enable resolving. If anyone knows of a way to root it, we would be most grateful to hear about it.
Tried about everything else too and nothing works
There's a working driver in Windows 10, but KingoRoot still fails. I almost tried King Root, but it's all in Chinese. I was going to try Framaroot but gave up when the download link resulted in an endless survey loop to win a free $100 Visa card (yeah....... GO F**K YOURSELF). I really want to root this thing. MetroPCS has this thing loaded full of bloatware and the Google BS I never use (google+ MUST DIE) is just eating storage space and what tiny bit of RAM is left. It's a nice phone but the inability to overclock the CPU, delete bloatware, and turn my 4GB SD Card into RAM really leaves alot to be desired.
The phone can be put into recovery using adb on windows.but that's as far as that goes.Cant find any way to root.Hope we get one soon.
So I think we should make a list of what root methods that did not work. That way we wont get hassled of what does not work
Kingo Root: FAIL
Towelroot: FAIL
Framaroot: UNKNOWN
King Root: UNKNOWN (Can't read Chinese)
Could you use a kill file that would reset all data including disabling some things
Root genius fails
King root fails
Kingoroot fails
Iroot fails
Framaroot fails
Towelroot fails
I'm thinking you gotta unlock the boot loader , but I can't put into fast boot mode or boot onto the boot loader for any adb fastboot commands to work. I can get to recovery in adb , and in the recovery menu I select boot to boot loader but it boots normally. I really want to root this thing!!
I just noticed that they're are any way to root the latest lolipop unless your on 5.0.2 ( BTW I checked kingroot and checked the request of our device and its almost to 1000

If he rooted the phone he sent the reply from, he's unfortunately in the wrong thread. The C6530N is the Hydro Life. We're trying to root the C6740N which is the Hydro Wave. Thanks for getting our hopes up.
On the other hand, if he's using the Hydro Life to post in the forum but has successfully rooted the Hydro Wave, we would all love to know just how you did it. My Hydro Wave is running worse than an Alcatel Evolve on the stock setup. We need root badly.
Speaking of root exploits such as Framaroot, see
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/0...droid_users_creates_hijackable_global_botnet/
Which links to the original exposé:
https://www.fireeye.com/blog/threat-research/2015/09/guaranteed_clicksm.html
...which notes that this Android botnet malware uses Framaroot and other root exploits. I wonder if some of these Chinese root exploit tools themselves (Framaroot, Kingoroot, etc.) carry a hidden malware payload.
....
Hi I've tried everything also but I also tried this program for tablets called zuse toolkit & it seems to get something through cause it reboots & optimizes or upgrade apps I'm not too sure which one but if someone out there knows how to modifie the way this zuse toolkit roots then maybe we have a chance of rooting this new phone oh & after it optimizes or upgrades the apps I check for root permissions and it still says it does not have root permissions so yea...
I picked up a 12.2 inch 2 in 1 Android tablet from Wal-Mart with a brand name of Pro12 with a model number of ct9223w97. It came with Android 6.0. I can boot into fastboot. Developer options are enabled. I have rooted many devices. I'm just waiting to see if the note 7 through T-Mobile is ever able to be rooted. I know a spring debug version is out but I'd rather wait. In the mean time I'd like to figure out a way to root the tablet. There is an app I use that I need root for.
Thank you so much in advance!

any luck getting this thing rooted?
I am very pleased to know that I am not the only person that wants to root this device. The main reason that I would like to root this tablet is to change the dpi and resolution. I have tried running Antutu Benchmark and King Root at the same time as this method has worked on previous android devices in the past but there was no success. For those that were not aware The Pro12 and the RCA Pro 12 are produced by the same Manufacture which I believe is Alco Electronics. The only difference between the two is that The Pro12 is 64GB and the RCA Pro 12 is 32Gb in storage capacity. Otherwise the form factor and hardware specifications are the exact same. The keyboards are interchangeable between the two. Where I am going with this is that if someone manages to root the RCA Pro 12 it should also work on this tablet so be on the lookout. There are some untested root methods I have been looking into but I am so busy. They have been posted below if anyone has the time to consider attempting a root. I feel confident about root method 3 since its focused on rooting Mediatek devices which is the processor make of this tablet.
Also, I am unaware if these untested root methods will install a root admin other than Su or Supersu.

Did you install many apps that are running in the background?
I would honestly run factory reset or look into this task manager app.

I kept it lean, I don't think anything is running that didn't come with, but I'll check, and check that app. Thanks

I've tried all of these. Sadly, none of them work. I'm curious how hard it is to do this on my own. I would have no idea where to begin. Or can we request this somewhere?

There is a root that has been successful on this forum for the RCA Maven Pro. Maybe we can request for some help with this since its kinda similar and they have already developed a rom for it. They might have more experience.
Any luck here?

I am still trying. I was attempting to gain ADB access but was unable to get the drivers detected when connecting to the PC via USB. I have been on top of King Root and Kingo Root updates and still nothing. I even tried running benchmarks simultaneously running King Root which has worked in the past with other devices that use Mediatek hardware but I had no luck. Alcatel Fierce 2 Root " https://androidforums.com/threads/root-for-fierce-2.875644/page-45 ". Still searching for an exploit. I think our chance of cracking it is by USB to PC at this point. We need some working ADB Drivers. Im always so busy. Can someone try these and see if it detects the Pro 12.
https://adb.clockworkmod.com/
The Site below list 5 PC applications to root by USB. We can try these once we have a working set of ADB drivers. If anyone knows of some more software we can try please post.

SRS *said* mine was rooted but it did not root. Never installed superuser. Got into it with ADB but can't unlock the bootloader due to the fact that the volume controls won't work to select anything.
