Hi everyone,
I hope I am posting in the right section.
I recently released my first personal published app to the Play Store. It has ads, but those will soon be removed - chose to include them to learn how. I also have my code as open-source if anyone wants it.

My app is unique in that it does several network requests to foursquare api and google places to aggregate and populate a listview.
My favorite and most exciting feature was implementing a compass AND pointer using sensors, gps data, and a lot of math. Took me a lot of hard work just for this first main version.
The compass always points mag North regardless of which way you turn and also has an arrow that points at the moving target based on real-time sensor/gps/API data.
Still a few bugs that but I'm taking a break from the app so I can come back in a few weeks and refactor + add new features.
This app will display real-time interactive location data for food trucks/trailers/food stands etc.
It should work on any device at any orientation. My custom interpolation makes a smoothe compass/pointer.
Any feedback and support would be greatly appreciated as I am job hunting and it isn't easy by any means, as some of you know. The more I can implement changes/feedback from reviews (hopefully) and/or here, the better prepared I'll be for Dev positions.

I've created an app that might just solve your everlasting battle with privacy, or something of that effect.
Are you afraid your phone or tablet might be stolen or is your little brother, annoying friend or perhaps untrusting girlfriend snooping around your phone behind your back? Do they even continue to say that they're innocent of this horrendous privacy infringement? Then download CrookCatcher and bust them on the spot! A photo and location will be sent to your email when intruders are caught trying to unlock your phone. Stick the awkward selfie up in their face, and I can almost guarantee that their nose will stop "growing" at once.
Features
• Take photo with the front facing camera on incorrect unlock attempt
• You select the number of failed unlock attempts before CrookCatcher takes action
• Find location of device
• Receive email notification with photo and location
• Uses the default Android Lock Screen
• No services running in the background = little to no impact on battery
• Browse photos with location on the device, with (what I think is) an intuitive interface.
The Concept
... is not entirely new, several apps doing somewhat the same already exists in Google Play. I, however, found these to either be build on a jerky design that was hard to comprehend and navigate, or I found them too expensive - and that is why I created CrookCatcher.
CrookCatcher is namely, designed to be simplistic and easy to figure out. A setup guide is build into the app, which lets you set the few things necessary up with ease and speed. And, best of all. CrookCatcher is free, and no, that doesn't mean ads instead. CrookCatcher is free to use. Product Overview
- If you are having trouble with your vehicle (check engine light), you can now get basic information and send the diagnosis to repair shops for a competitive quote for free.
- There are also other features, such as reviewing shops, requesting for quotes with a pre-defined diagnosis, messaging shops, etc.

Requirements
- Android OS Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 or later
- For best results (to be able to scan the check engine light) you will need an OBD-II Bluetooth reader and Bluetooth Android device. 4) You will get your vehicle diagnosis. You can try to send it to shops, but since no shops exist, you can't send them for quotes.

FYI, we fixed a bug where no DTCs show when only pending codes are present - if anyone has encountered this issue. It has been uploaded as the new release (version 1.02). If anyone else has issues or positive/negative feedback, please let us know!

I can see this app going very far.

Thanks a lot! It started as my grad school project and just hope it catches on so people can use it. So many car diagnostic apps are too complicated and only for enthusiasts. This is just for the normal person who wants their car fixed at a fair price....and for shops to get more into the electronic world and get more customers. I'd hope it's for the best of both worlds!
