What do you mean by wipe phone? Doing a factory reset? And then restoring from a backup?
Is your phone rooted ?
If you have a rooted device are you have to do is first backup your phone as you would before you start install anything then once the process is done wipe the phone install zip file and then restore your backup

Yeah it is rooted okay. So backup phone, then do a factory wipe (wipe system, cache, dalvik cache) flash the zip file, then restore my backup right?
Yes
