I'm moving from a Google Nexus S (bought one and an half year ago). I would like to buy a Sony from the Xperia series, but I have a limited budget: around 250 and 300 euros. Wich one do you think I should buy?
EDIT: Is the Gnex a good buy right now? What about Lumia 800?

What is it about the Sony phones that you like more than a Samsung?

First of all, the materials and their forms! And, if only I decide to buy a Samsung, I don't know wich one..
I'm just attracted by the Xperia series, but If I can find a Galaxy Nexus at around 200-220 euros I'll buy it! I saw the nice Xperia U that is a great phone compared to his price here in Italy..Or I could just wait some time and buy a Xperia S..
EDIT: wrong Xperia (changed from Z to S)

I do like the look of the newer Sony devices, I just worry that they won't get the developer following that Samsung phones have. Wait for MWC and see if Samsung announces the Galaxy S4, it's only a short time away and you see something other than either of those that you like.
Gnex for the win, nothing but butter !

Yeah I like the Gnex too, but I'm a bit afraid that it is already considered "old". Is it a good buy right now?
What about a Lumia800? at 200-230 euros?
Samsung galaxy s3 mini or nexus..Both are great

Maybe Sony Xperia P? It has aluminium unibody case, bright display, dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It is also quite compact because of "only" 4'' display.
I think that they are all good devices (exept for the galaxy s3 mini..I can't stand it), I LOVE the design of the xperia P and I also really wish to get another Nexus device (in my country the Nexus 4 is not sold,, :S) so everything depends upon their cost..I'll wait a sale and I'll get the best offer!!
You might also want to consider Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. It's cheaper than Xperia P (but also made from worse materials) but it has similar specs and unlike Xperia it also has microSD slot and removable battery.
the 2011 xperias are cheap and has great dev support, i recommend the xperia ray with a 300 ppi screen and a 8 mp camera, best bang for your buck imo
Ok guys I'll just buy what fits best my personality (and my pocket ), buyt Gnex is #1 now.
Thanks All!
try chinese like meizu, very good phones and cheap

get the nexus 4
or save your money for the galaxy s 4
My friend's google nexus has not only been a great performer, it has proven to be extremely durable. As he drops it A LOT and it still works like the day he bought it.
Is there anybody who knows where I can buy the Sony Xperia Z3 D6633 Silver Green?
I have looked virtually everywhere but the only website that seems to be selling them is Globstar (I cannot post the direct link since I don't have enough posts for that but it's about 500 USD for the phone)
Since they are selling them wholesale I would have to buy 4 of them and I am afraid that at the moment I cannot afford the risk of trying to sell three of them.
It looks like the phone really exists but no webshop is actually selling it.
Looks like nobody has been able to find it so far .
Anyway, in the end I bought a Nubia Z7 mini dual sim so I am glad I haven't found the one I was looking for. The Z3 is a beautiful device but well, let' s be honest, it's far from steal for its price.
Hi,
I wanna buy the Sony Z3 although it has been out the market for a while since September last year, i'm still impressed by its design however, i would like to ask you guys here about it, should I wait for the Z5 or buy the Sony Z3 which is a bit cheaper at the moment.
Personally, I prefer the Z3 (lower price, better design - my personal point of view, and still adapt almost everything one smartphone needs to have .. )
How about you guys and is there any owner of Z3 can give me some more suggestions ?
Thanks a lot
Go for Z3 it's cheaper and performance is not very different than Z5
Hey all... my t-mobile z3 D6616 recently took some water damage (funny I know) and of course they cannot replace it with a z3. So I'm shopping for a new phone.
But I don't want to purchase half a phone. I'm wondering if there is a way to insure an overseas model xperia with the fingerprint sensor or if the newest xperias in the US will have a sensor.
I'm done buying phones from the carrier. It makes insuring them easy but it really sucks because I'm very loyal to sony and it's hard to find them here.
My z3 still works but the camera is fried. I've got t-mobile to forgive part of the money owed on it but I'm still fighting for more from them. In the meantime I'm gonna buy one of these as a beater until I find something I like and the means to insure it... https://www.amazon.com/BLU-Vivo-Air...d=1467090484&sr=1-1&keywords=blu+vivo+air+lte
Any advice would be most helpful. Thanks in advance.
I've had my XZ Premium since it was released, bought as a preorder. It was been an excellent device and still works perfectly to this day. Even the battery gets me through at least a full day with around 40%-50% charge left and is in perfect condition. The Xperia 1 looks like a pretty good device with a great display and better camera. Is it time to upgrade? Opinions and thoughts welcome!
Thanks in advance,
Charles
i had my xz premium since 2017 and it was the best phone i ever had (on android basis). Unfortunately my xz prem died 2 weeks ago because of my stupidity and I got a xperia 1 the same day. The only good thing about the 1s is the display (oled).
the end of the story is that i ordered another xz premium this week (from the remaining stock of a warehouse company) and i gave my x1 to my wife as a present (she should get annoyed with it). The phone came friday and it is simply the best (camera, battery, displyformat and haptic).
Sony should bring out a new xz premium with oled and leave the rest as it was.
i hope it helps you with your decision.
