Hi there, I've managed to root Wikipad on newest update
Works only on windows7 ( I used VMware ) unless you find a driver for windows8
1. Install driver in package
2. reboot PC
3. make sure you've got dev mode enabled with usb debugging on
4. read README.txt file
readme states:
1. power off device; RECOVERY : once off hold VOL+ and power for 5 s; pressing VOL- choose fastboot protocol pressing VOL+
2. run 'insecurebootflash.bat'
3. once rebooted go to fastboot protocol again
4. in Windows process manager kill adb and fastboot .exe
5. run 'cwmrecoveryflash.bat'
6. in developer's mode on device enable USB debugging and connect your Wikipad
10. run 'run.bat'
you're rooted
cortex69 via insecure boot made by myself
root method via motorchop (or something, can't remmeber exactly)

If anyone wants to use it or edit it go ahead. I have only built insecure boot.img
if you're not sure about you can try just to boot to boot.img
fastboot devices
fastboot boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
If anyone who has 4.1.1 installed and rooted Wikipad and is able to download but NOT INSTALL update firmware and pull it out, I am waiting for that someone. I will gladly take over the firmware and do my best to make it customizable and rooted. Might even take a look at kernel

There is some similiar threads about this, but I still haven't found solution to my problem. I also tried to post this same problem on general: (TF300TG)For All Your Jelly Bean discussions-problems, but I thought if this was better on troubleshooting.
I got problem with recovery/fastboot on tf300tg..
Background: I haven't root my tf300tg, I got 4.2.1 (10.6.2.11) and I have unlocked bootloader from Asus support and installed APX drivers to windows 7 which works with tf300tg. (even when it's not so needed?) Also I got USB debugging on.
Problem: When I press (Vol Down + Start) to get in bootloader and try to start RCK it gives me error ("Virhe" means error in finnish).

Second Problem: If I can't use recovery I could try to use fastboot. I downloaded ADB and tried to follow instructions but there is one problem with this. I can use fastboot only when my tf300tg is on normal mode. So I can't use fastboot in recovery or in bootloader mode. I'm not sure if I should use fastboot in normal mode (don't know if it's safe?) to install TWRP 2.6.0 (for tf300tg)
Normal mode:
APX mode/Bootloader mode:
EDIT: After 5 hours of finding, I found that reason was ADB version. Fixing this problem was download: minimal adb and fastboot program to windows.

Hi,
I have unfortunately erased my rom before install in my phone.
Result my phone can boot on “fastboot mode” (push down) and “recovery mode” (push up) but write “No OS installed”.
When I used PC for unlock my phone by USB, the PC can’t detect my phone and I am blocked.
My phone is over or what do you can do for save it ?
Thanks a lot.
If you can access fastboot your phone is fine. It seems like you just have a problem connecting it to your pc. Try another pc. When you get to fastboot install a custom recovery, and flash a new ROM from there

3. On top bar where it says C:/ delete the text and write cmd instead of it and hit enter
4. Open your phone go to setting then go to about phone after that tap on build number 7 times
5. go to setting by backing out and you will see developer options, tap on it and tap on the usb debugging option
6. Connect the phone to the laptop/computer via usb cable
7. Enter in the command prompt ( that u opened earlier ) the following lines;
abd reboot boatloader
(after that u will see a black screen with purple notificaton led)
fastboot devices
(to ensure your device is connected to your laptop/computer properly)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
8. If it says OKAY and Finished it means you have successfuly flashed a custom bootloader
TO ACCESS THE BOATLOADER PRESS THE VOLUME DOWN + POWER BUTTON
Hi everyone, posting some info about this device, which for us down here in a third world country help us a lot.
I´m sharing first the method I followed in order to root it, the one I got came from US Sprint.
like before, follow at your own risk
download the following folder, with the files root.zip and twrp-3.4.0-rtxspr.img
https://mega.nz/folder/1Ql1FRqD#gS3_4-btiyKMS3k0Z-WiBA
- make sure you have usb debugging enable and you have the bootloader also unlocked (this one is pretty easy)
- also make sure you have adb updated and working because you will need it.
1. Reboot the device into bootloader: power it down completely, then power it back on with a toothpick inside the reset hole in the rear of the device until you see something like the screen shot bellow

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. plug a USB cable to your PC and the device.
3. inside the folder with the files you downloaded before, do a right click and open a command prompt then type in the following command: fastboot boot twrp-3.4.0-rtxspr.img this will boot the device into twrp recovery.
3. from twrp go to WIPE -> Format Data -> type in yes This will wipe and erase everything from your HTC 5g HUB, do not reboot, just go back to the twrp main screen.
4. from the folder in your PC move the root.zip file to the HTC device, once done, go back to the HTC.
5. then now go to install -> you will see the root.zip file there, select it and click on install image.
6. wait until everything is done, once complete reboot your htc 5g hub and you should have now a rooted device.
I am unable to get into fastboot mode on my At&t Motivate 2. I do have OEM unlock, but when I use adb reboot fastboot, or hold the power key + up vol. It get's stuck on the screen saying => FASTBOOT mode... I am not sure what I am doing wrong (if I am). It's model number is EA211002. It stays on this screen no matter how long i leave it.

Be happy, you sucessfully entered Fastboot mode. Now direct Fastboot on PC per Windows CMD and/or PowerShell what action(s) to perform.
