Let's try to gather a list of cases that are compatible with the wireless charging cover, since it has been confirmed to be thicker here http://gavinsgadgets.wordpress.com/...rging-cover-review-with-samsung-charging-pad/

I am looking for this info. I have a Spigen Slim Armor. Not sure if it will work with wireless charger. Has anyone tried?

Like all the other wireless charging back cover samsung has on their other phones, no 3rd party manufacturer is going to mold a case for it. There's just no profit for the small population that will buy the wireless back cover.

hmm I sure some 3rd party's in China would throw some gel cases together.
They will make good $$ off them
Anyone have a connection with Chines manufacture...a friend of a friend etc?
UPDATE:
Ive purchased a few cases from this ebay seller in the past they are great quality - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=171254663051&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:US:1123
I shot them message explaining whats going on with lack of GS5 Gel cases that accommodates wireless back cover,
Hopefully they reply

Well.. I wouldn't call stretching the TPU rubber to extend fit, an actual form fitting case.
If you read this S4 thread; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2333725&page=10
You can see that even to this date, there is no real 'made for wireless charging' back case available.
Well I just ordered Diztronic Matte Back Black Flexible TPU Case [Rev. 2] for Samsung Galaxy S5 lol
By the looks stretch can be possible with heat gun

that's why Samsung should sell their phones with wireless covers from day one with the phone to not cause this problems.they only want to make more money and make things difficult to people that wanna use protective covers.
I really wanna this cover because i want to stay with the phone with water resistance but this are the things that makes me not want to use it

With my note 3 and the genuine wireless charging back I was able to use my uag navigator. Hoping the same for the s5.

Cheers I try that and hope it works. Ideally I want to use a Candy Shell but I'm fairly certain it won't fit.
I wish Samsung had included this from the start. Now it's not worth a case makers time/money to make compatible cases.

I got a third party wireless receiver pad (which is used with the standard non wireless cover) on Amazon and my Spigen Slim fit case still fits, though there is a very slight (but almost unnoticeable) bulge where the wireless receiver is.
Currently the only cases that would work with the Samsung wireless charging cover are basic bumper type cases. Had the same issue on my Note 3.

The thing about 3rd party wireless receiver pad is that you lose your IP67 (water/dust proof), thats why most of us wants the official one

True, depending on thickness of the wireless receiver. I personally don;t intend to use my phone under water, or leave it in the glass of water next to my bed, and leave it in my pocket when in the loo, so not a big issue for me personally
Seriously though, there is very little chance that case manufacturers will make cases specifically for the S5 that has the standard wireless charging cover on (and if they do, they will be more expensive to compensate for limited demand), so if we want to use our slim fit / rugged cases AND have wireless charging, we may need to do without water / dust proof. If you do get
Or use a normal cover for a daily use. And when you arrive home that's where most of the people have their wireless pads. Switch covers. It's the only idea I think it's rubbish but yes. I agree with the statement above. The manufactures only gonna do cases for the phone that's released . Unless there was something that made the manufacturer's realise they can get a lot of money of. Doing new cases.
another way is to get wireless charging backcover and put a skin on it, but im not sure if it gona look good, because the skin is made for the normal backcover
Or use a bumper

The only way to know for sure is to try. Go to a store and see if it fits. I used a UAG navigator case on my note 3 with wireless cover just fine. On my S4 I used a tech 21 and a Spigen neo hybrid as well.

Anyone try an Otterbox Defender with the wireless charging back?
Hi,
I'd like to know if those magnetic flip cases for this tablet will cause any damage or problem to the SPen functionality or the screen? I've seen people say that it will. That it will throw off the SPen calibration and slowly but permanently damage the screen. I want to order a Belkin Stripe case and have the tablet in it 24/7. Bad idea?
Thanks.
The Spen sensors are magnetic. If you use a magnetic flip case, the Spen will not work on the part near the magnet.
Thanks! Glad I asked before purchasing. I'll buy the Speck case instead of the Belkin one.
Yeah I have a belkin flip cover that I got at Best Buy along with the tablet. The magnet within it is strong enough to interfere so when taking notes I have to lay the flap on the table without folding it completely back. Its a pain but it works fine. I do like the fact that the flap closes fairly securely since the magnets are strong though.

The Speck case is excellent. Very good protection all around, sturdy, secure clasp, snug fit, quality construction and materials, and no magnets!
=GO=
It looks amazing in the pictures. Really excited, should arrive next week.
Topic says all. How thick can a case be before it will not work.
I've yet to hear of a case that blocks wireless charging.
not sure about the metal cases but all the tpu and hard plastic cases I've used worked on the wireless charger.
metal cases will block the wireless. if you want woreless charget with case, don't support metal cases
Most of the time (if you're buying a higher quality case) you'll see that they'll include some text saying "Supports wireless charging". Spigen mentioned it on some of the boxes for the cases I ordered.

Maybe it's an issue with the PMA standard as a opposed to Qi. Right now I have the Neo-Hybrid with metal bumpers and using this charger here, it works just fine.

Yeah, that is most likely the issue.
I have the Spigen Neo Hybrid and it works fine with the Samsung wireless charger
Give this video a watch:

PMA is terrible. The phone gets hot and has a very weak range. Go Qi and almost all cases should work.
I have a s6 and the nexus 5 wireless charger and it never connects with a thin TPU case on... Im a case guy and need a case... however if i remove the case it will charge just fine (havent dont a full charge yet...)
can someone test with cases on etc and see what you get, if it connects... i tested the charger with my wifes n4 with a similar case on and it connects without an issue... as soon as i put on the s6, nothing, just briefly shows the NFC icon and then nothing...
tried it with original clear case. plus i put about 4 credit card together. my phone still charging. so u can figure hows the thickness.
it seems my issue is with the nexus 5 charger, i just used a generic one i got off ebay a while back and it worked great... so selling the nexus 5 charger now lol
im pretty sure the case companies have designed all of their cases so the device can be chargeable with the case on

While it's not wise to assume, I think in this instance, it's pretty safe. But, always read reviews before purchase. Just to be sure.
Wireless charging thru case solved
I am a novice. My wireless charger wouldn't charge my s6 through the thick Otter case, even if I turned it upside down with the face on the charger, So being a novice I fixed the problem the old fashioned way instead of trying to figure out the technical way.
I took the s6 out of the case and drilled a hole thru the case. Put the s6 back in the case and it charges fine now.
Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
Mine works fine (Spigen) with the exception I can't just put the phone down on it and walk away. I have to lay it down horizontal and confirm the light goes on the charger, but yes it does work.
cases with only board may work
Anyone know where to find all metal cases? I've seen a few on Amazon but their either to big or they have a weird design. I'm wanting one to use for my magnetic car mount but don't want to have to use the little metal piece you have to stick on the back of your case. Maybe someone knows of a custom metal case designer or something. Thanks in advanced

This doesn't answer your question, but I use the clamp type mount on my windshield.
I can't use a metal case nor the metal piece you stick on the back because I use Qi wireless charging with our phones. My Qi wireless charger works even with the TPU case I have, but does not work with metal in between. I tried the metal piece one time and it caused my phone to overheat on the wireless charging pad.
Good luck finding what you need.

This doesn't answer his question either, but which Qi charger do you use in the car? I've been using this https://amzn.to/2XCiZUf but it will repeatedly stop/start charging which stinks. Looking for a great solution.
I use a Ravpower wireless car charger. It's the only one I found that charges through my OtterBox Defender case.

Thanks I ordered it yesterday
I recently picked up this 10000mAh Battery Case from ZeroLemon for my S22 Ultra. My jaw dropped as I took it out of the packaging and saw how big this thing is. The Amazon page states that it is as thick as 3 S22 Ultras and yeah, it's pretty close to that.
Aside from its thickness the case feels pretty durable. It comes with a dual layer system, a polycarbonate interior shell covered by a tough exterior skin similar to an Otterbox. It has all the cutouts for the cameras, charger, pen, speaker and microphones. The overlay on the hardware buttons feel a little mushy but have a satisfying "click" when depressed.
As far as protection goes I think it will do a decent job of keeping your S22U from getting jacked up should you drop it while wearing this suit of armor. The corners are well protected as well as the camera. The screen, however, isn't really recessed from the front so a screen protector is definitely recommended. Although the product page on Amazon says that this case is not compatible with a tempered glass screen protector, the one I purchased (AACL) has no issues fitting with this case.
I have been using this for a couple of days now and yet to plug it to recharge. And as far as that goes, you can either use your USB-C cable or a wireless charging pad to charge the battery and your phone simultaneously.
I have been a ZeroLemon fan since the days of the Galaxy SIII and I am so glad they came out with this. It has everything that I am looking for in a battery case but I wish they would have included a belt clip similar to an Otterbox to help lug this thing around. Any one else thinking about or already picked up one of these? If so how are you liking it?

So what is the total weight of this unit + phone together?
As someone who wants to bicycle to camping spots far away from civilization for about 3-4 days, this would be excellent. And yet, this case wouldn't fit most handlebar mounts. I'm sure the case I have is already pushing it since the phone is already so big (Pelican), these just keep getting bigger.
_________
Also: @mzsquared
Product Weight: 9.45 oz (267g)
Phone weight 229g
= 496g (1.093lbs.)
So more dangerous than 1 brick of butter.
Wow, looks bigger than any previous one's i've used from them.. can it work with the Whitestone Dome screen protector?
This case looks desirable. Some of the product reviews on Amazon say it falsely detects water damage, preventing charging. Is this a problem anyone in this thread has seen?
That thing is an absolute monstrosity. I can't imagine having that in my pocket at the gym. Suspenders would be a necessity.
look like you can kill somebody with it lol

It shouldn't. I don't start charging mine until I'm @25% or less. Maybe if you constantly turned it on and charged all the time.
