Hello everybody, it's my first thread here, so tell me if I'm doing anything wrong!!
Anyway, I am having a problem with Real Racing 3 graphics, the look bad, so I went on looking, and found two solutions, of which none work. The first one was to manually go on the com.ea.games. ...../.depot/eds and to replace all the plist files with many copies of the xtrahigh.plist , that I then renamed like the ones that were there before. ..this didn't change anything. Another solution I found was to use the real racing 3 graphs settings app, but as soon as I open it, it tells me that it doesn't work with 4.4.2 kitkat, and that I should give it writing permissions (which I think I can only do if I have root),so the app doesn't work.
Does anybody have a solution other than those, that does not require a rooted phone?
I have a note4 and I'm waiting for lollipop to come out before rooting it.

I've seen this issue talked about on other devices, but aside from what you've tried, I don't see other solutions. So you should ask in your device section to see if anyone knows anything,

Ok, thanks!! Anyway I think I might have figured or what the Pelham is. ....there's no anti aliasing, because graphics and reflections aren't that bad now, but everything is a little minecraft styled (jaggy edges).

Hello, first I want to apologize if I am in the wrong area.
On to the question/assistance, something or other.
I am trying to modify an App, a game to be specific, to be more enjoyable for me. So far, I've been able to open it up, find the locations where the files I need to place/overwrite are located. I did so, and closed up the package, however, most of the times I tried it, it would always say something about not being able to "Parse" it. Eventually I got it so that it installs and runs, but the changes don't seem to appear.
This game, Uplink, used to be a PC exclusive, and it was very mod-heavy. Most of the "mods" were simply pictures with a txt file pointing to specific pixels for locations of other things, nothing complicated. I feel that it should be possible with the Android version as well.
I've looked around, and I can't seem to find anything that helps. There is a post on the Uplink section of the Introversion Forums that explains it a little, but no one has gotten back to me.
Can anyone help me? If anyone would be willing to assist me, whether by pointing me in the right direction, or taking, or walking through, or however, I would be grateful.
I could post the APK, tools that were mentioned else, and links I found.
Again, sorry if this isn't the place to ask for help with this particular problem of mine.

Hello Devs! I used the Build Prop editor (I am not rooted so not sure if this makes a difference) to change the split view value to true, told it to save & reboot, but the device does not reboot.
Should I be rooted for the change in value to save? When I open the app to view the setting again? My device has reverted back to the value of "False".
Perhaps I need to change some permissions or something first? I have made no other alterations to my G3 (other than downloading a few apps and customizing every hear & there).

Sorry Devs. I had clicked a link that allowed for "quick questions for non-members", thinking I would have no need to be a member on a "developer site" cuz I'm not a dev. nor do I wish to be. But then I got interested in watching more of your videos & decided to go register so I can learn all the good stuff & post smart questions.
Long story short, I've now registered, got thru the "Noobie Instructs" and am now researching my device. I'm sure I will have many more questions as I go along, but see that your site is a treasure trove of information.
I was really hoping to avoid all this when I got started watching Youtube, interested mainly in some simple tweaks, but see now that I will just have to wade thru the shallows & learn as much as I can about Droid platform.
At worst I will at least be a smart user, right?
I NEVER should have allowed myself to be sucked in by Apple way back when, now I'm starting fresh with Droid cuz I wanted full control of my devices. Guess that's gonna exact the price of taking the time to learn about it smartly, so I Donny make changes I could be sorry for later!
It's a lock screen, I don't know the name of it (obviously), and from what I remember of it it's pretty cool. It features like, a hidden unlock method, something in background that you interacted with and it unlocked your phone. I dunno, I don't remember much, and it's not like the world will end if I don't find it. Heck, it might not even exist and I've somehow remembered something that doesn't exist, or maybe it's not available anymore. But anyway, if you do know what it is any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys.

I have recently bought a tablet teclast air III and all has been fine, but from a few days ago, it start to freeze in middle of game (not a heavy 3d game) and auto boot .
Question is that after booting (at random moment and not triggered by nothing I can notice) it shows a kind of error problem on the screen, but it appears so fast that I cannot see what it shows.
I made a phone record and capture it, but its not so clear vid (cannot get better atm). I can read something related with a kind of error and not able to "something".
Its there someone that knows better that me what is happening?
I uploaded the video to youtube, so anyone will be able to check and help.

Hey guys, I've been lurking on XDA for a few years but I've never found a situation I couldn't search up info on. I have a VERY SMALL but potentially impossible situation. My girl friend brought up a point a bit ago about the cursor icon when using google keyboard. She wanted to find a way to alter the blue dot cursor on there. She wanted something like a rainbow, multi colored, pink, or 'glitter' color and animation to the cursor. I've spend a few hours searching here, google, and asking my other friends who hack phones. The only thing I can think of would be perhaps a full phone mod like dropping CM onto her device and trying to play around with the themes. However I'm not sure how hard coded the cursor is, could someone please direct me to some more info on this?
