You can just flash v8 which is more stable: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=39324
Another option is finding a stock kernel or flashing a stock rom.

As long as you download the tar version of the kernel then all you have to do is run odin
Hi folks! :highfive:
I'm a lazy guy and I was simply tired to use the stock recovery all the time the new OTA arrives, so I decided to make a prerooted ROM and share it with you. The modification is very simple and required me to edit just a few lines in the updater-script.
The coolest thing is that you can flash it using TWRP.
I haven't noticed any bugs so far, so tell me if the method works for you.

That's fantastic @eagleeyetom.
Thanks a lot. I'm already on YOG4PAS3OH but I'll definitely try as soon as we have an update.
Does it mean that we can dirty flash via TWRP without loosing root or it is a pre-rooted rom?
Just donated (95V34165S2552584Y) some drinks to stimulate you in keep doing it for future releases!!
Thanks.

Follow the instruction here to get to:
- Unlocked Bootloader
- Custom recovery (TWRP)
Copy this modified ROM image onto your internal memory and reboot into recovery (TWRP).
Flash the ROM via TWRP.
You'll obtain:
- Root
- Unlocked Bootloader
- Custom recovery (TWRP)
Works really well, thanks

If someone wothout out root will test this kernel and see if it roots your device it would be appreciated! As for those that already have root this will certainly work for you.

Recovery of KitKat work on lollipop version???
Hello,
I've managed to build Android 9 (r46) for the Samsung Galaxy A20e (SM-A202F) successfully, based on Samsung's instructions and my own experiments.
Since I cannot currently go through the process of flashing AOSP for this phone due to a lack of the required amount of time that's necessary in order to get on with this properly, I was wondering whether any casual onlookers would be willing to help me out by testing that build (which includes a few Samsung-specific libraries, such as libexif, etc.) and taking a few screenshots.
If this succeeds and ends up in a proper, polished build, I am hoping to move on and release an AOSP tree that's ready to build as-is, as well as eventually move on with other ROMs and interesting mods and shenanigans.
(In case you're interested, please PM me with your contact information, I'll be checking my PMs periodically over the next few days as of the time of this writing.)

ok this doesnt work.... i have the firmware for my phone, removed the boot.img.lz4, extracted to boot img, patched, recompressed to tar, flashed using ap in OBIN, then boot to bootloader and wipe factory data and when the phone boots, it disp[lays the screen for about 30 seconds then it goes black.
so can i ask again how did you root your phone as this method doesnt work.
can you post a screenshot of you actually having root? i have tried 6 different methods now and all have failed and i am wondering if i am chasing something that isnt real following the guide you posted, especially since it is for the wrong phone......
I am asking to root the a20e (please notice the e)
Please advise
