[Completed] [Q] Issues on Asus Zenfone6 and 5 after installing KitKat 4.4 - XDA Assist

Hi Moderator,
This is probably the first time I am posting something in this portal. More than a thread it is a query to you.
I have had a Asus Zenfone 5 and 6 for soemtime now and overall I have been a happy customer. The issues started only after it got updgraded to KitKat 4.4 and even after multiple trouble shooting in terms of doing factory Reset on both the phones.
Now coming to the issue, ever since I installed the KitKat, I am unable to do any form of video conferencing. I cannot use either of my cams on Skype or Viber. Apart from that I am also unable to capture screenshots as before. I have written to Asus but they claim that the it is working fine for them and they do not see any issues in their phones.
My phones are still stock and I have nto rooted them.
Kindly advise.
Best regards,
Anup

[Completed] oppo r2001

hello everyone... how are you guys doing I am an old member that only visits whenever the situation is critical... first registered here when windows (mobile) 6.1 was released for my htc polaris... so, it's been a while.. I've kind of lost my way here... searching for the model of my phone resulting in nothing but oppo Find 7 or Find 5 or N1...
well... the phone is Oppo Yoyo aka R2001 aka Clover2.... spec wise is almost identical to Lenovo S660 beside lenovo boasts a 3k batt+stainless steel body while oppo only provide 1990mAh batt+some sort of "gorilla glass" for the display.... I just bought it July 8th, 2014... and the reason I visited xda today is to read and gain knowledge of how to root the phone (to remove all those google stuff I don't even open and need).. and how to ditch ColorOS (it's not as cool as I expected), put CWM in for recovery mode, and finally to install Cyanogen OS in place of ColorOS... can't find any info about it here... the same as in Oppo Forum, many threads are just bad mouthing the phone... useless threads... I've spent almost 3 whole years using an android 4 sporting local brand, generic android that acts like fish being left on the ground... now the phone was almost reached its grave, screen not working for some reason and for some time, then it works again... battery getting hot (not yet "pregnant") so many times.. etc etc...
so, anyone with information please kindly help me out....

Unfortunately I can't find a specific forum for your device on xda.
But here is a general article about rooting on xda ... created by PG101.
And you can post you questions in the general help forum.
And here I found another user who has successfully rooted this device. Maybe you want to ask him/her how it was done. Just an idea.
My tapatalk signature:
Phone: SGS5 (SM-G900F)

If you have any question about or any issue with your SGS2, just ask in the New members friendly Q&A thread.
If you need general help/assistence, please go to XDA-Assist.

[Completed] [Q] How to Re-install Android on my phone?

I have a Spice stellar Jazz [Spice MI 353] low end phone running Android 2.3.5
Its an small Indian company phone so I am unable to find guide/tut to do it. I want to install New Android Version. Maybe some with better look and features.
Cant find information to upgrade and tweak this phone. Help Thanks
Well being unable to find anything out here for your device is not a surprise at all. The thing is, when you buy these uncommon low end devices there's often no support. Probably never will be either.
You can ask your question here if you like but I wouldn't get my hopes up

Best Permnently Rootable Android Phone out there now??

Hi Guys,
Recenty went on a rooting binge with my tablet and Note 4....Started on my tablet, now that is fully rooted, i got the bug to do more!
Sadly, my note 4 wasnt able to obtain root (5.0.1). picked up another note 4, which has 4.4 and i can gain temporary root, but this lasts for only an hour or two, and sometimes doesnn't work, causing multiple restarts or crashes...
That being said, i have seen the G4 is rootable, anything else new that i should look towards? Suggestions are welcome
And no, the $700 developers edition for the NOte 4 is not an option thanks,.
Many opinions will be found in this dedicated thread for such questions,

I'll close this one. :good:

[Completed] Questions on proper way to dual boot a '2-in-1' tablet

Hello, I recently obtained a brand new Nextbook Ares 11 (11.6" Quad-Core 2-in-1 Tablet). While it has been factory installed with lollipop which runs quite smooth with consideration to the keyboard, I would like to be able to dual boot this device with windows xp or newer. I have certain windows applications I use for work and could benefit greatly if I had them on this tablet. I really hate to sacrifice andriod though, its actually out of the question...Life without andriod just isnt living... I have seen a few videos and sites that clearly show this done, but ive yet to find any instructions/details/software so Ive decided to post on here. I figured if you guys cant help then you can point me to a thread or website that can. Thanks for your time and help, ill attach two pictures with stats of the device.

[Completed] Lenovo p70

Hey!
Newb here! I just got Lenovo p70 for the sake of battery and low price tbh. And i realized i just hate custom the launcher lenovo made, not only it looks iOS pretentious, it's actually freaking uncomfortable and i knew better when i had my nexus 7 tablet. I'm pretty sure the answers to my wonders somewhere here but i haven't been able to google anything good enough and i figured i would just ask someone experienced. So please bear with me and bother to answer a few questions:
How do i flash stock android without sd card?
Is every phone compatible with every launcher (except for custom apps)?
Where do i get stock android and what software do i need to flash it?
Can i get pc-like tabs in Chrome on mobile?
Thank you in advance!
