Do any good screen protectors exist for this phone? - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

What my title says.... The curved glass is killing good fitting screen protectors for this phone. The only kind that have good coverage and don't look stupid are the rubber, wet apply style since the rubber can for and stick to the curved glass.
With that being said, I currently have the IQ Shield, rubber, wet apply style protector. While it fits great and I like it, we all know the cons of these style of protectors.
Any great protectors out there that fit nice, are clear and invisible, and don't affect the s-pen that much?

Techmatte screen protectors are a dry install and amazing! I've used them on my Note 2, Note 3, and now Note 4. They are cheaply priced but top of It line quality! Once installed it's invisible, AND it feels like a bare screen so the S-Pen works completely normal. You get a 3 pack from Amazon for less than $10.

When I try searching for "Techmatte" I get listings for amFilm screen protectors. Are they the same thing? Can you link the one you are talking about?

Already other threads. Just read them.

Correct, that's them. They offer Anti-Glare and HD Clear, I always get HD Clear.
Here's what I got :
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MX25KJ4/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1416846864&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SY200_QL40
I was leery of them at first because of the price being so cheap, but they're a million times better than Ghost Armor which is what used to be all I would use.

yea there are already threads on this...try tech21 though its pretty nice.

I'm using Spigen. No problem at all.

Cool, I guarantee you'll absolutely love them! Package also comes with stickers made for the hinge install, microfiber cloth, a squeegee for bubbles(which are very minimal during install and, of course, non-existent afterwards), and the instructions & other paperwork.

The I smooth protectors are working fine for me.

Samsung ones fit quite well, unbelievable.

Screen Protector

I just got my one s and don't really have the money for the warranty. After reading around I think the BALLISTIC SG hard cover case is the way to go but I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on screen protectors. I'm looking for some cheap ones w/ anti-glare. Any thoughts about invisibleSHIELD by ZAGG?

Yup, I tried Zagg just because I got their headphones for $10 if I bought the shield. I took it off after a week, the orange peel affect is horrific. I also noticed it was a lot thinner than Ghost Armor, not sure if that's matters in normal situations though.. lol

I've just purchased the BestSkinEver screen-only protector.
had the full phone BSE skin on my N1, and couldn't fault the protection.
It did peel on the corner pieces, which is why I've gone for the screen-only one this time.

Hey y'all, noob here, just got my One S the other day, and just got my Diztronic case from Amazon today, love it! Those screen protectors that come with it are crap tho, and was looking into the Ghost Armor. I've had unpleasant results with the Zagg shields in the past, and the Ghost Armor seems to be pretty popular.
One other question, is anyone using the full-body GA skin in addition to a regular case, such as the Diztronic or Incipio? Just curious. Thanks!

I've never had the ghost armor full body, but I did had zagg full body and it didn't peel up. Once you let it dry it sticks pretty well, just don't put a case on it for at least 24 hours maybe more to let it dry.
I'd imagine Ghost Armor would be better, their screen protector is soooo much better than Zagg's.
I actually need to get a replacement from Ghost Armor, for some reason the bottom part keeps wanting to come up.
I´am using the antireflex protector from mumbi and i´am very happy with it. Feels good and looks really pretty.
how it looks GhostArmor Clear for the back ? any pic ?
i'm surprised no one mentioned htc's own screen protector for the one s. there are a few sellers on ebay from uk selling them. i picked up a couple awhile ago for about USD$9 shipped.
Got my Ghost Armor (screen only) today, and just applied it. Took 2 tries, but I nailed it on the second attempt, got it perfectly lined up. I've been going back with the little squeegee and squishing out some of the smaller little bubbles over the last hour or so, and as long as you get the squeegee wet, it works pretty well to smooth out the little guys. So far, I like it a lot, doesn't have that rubbery-drag feel of the Zagg I had on my G2, or the orange peel. I'll report back in a day or so to update.
krusell
I got a KRUSELL screen film for my one S a couple of days ago and I'm thrilled with it. It is completely transparent and does not affect in any way the brightness and colors, and it doesn't have that squeaky feel.
I had an invisible shield on my previous Desire for about 8 months, it's good if you are a frequent phone dropper but if not it makes your screen uglier, it's like heaving sweat on it all the time and also affects the touch sensitivity.
All in all, would definetly recommend the Krusell.
Alright, so I made it about 5 days, and I think I'm ditching the screen protector. Yes, the peace of mind of the added protection is nice, but to be honest, I'm not really worried about it enough to keep this. I had my HTC G2 for almost 2 years, which didn't even have Gorilla Glass, and by the time I sold it, it had ONE hardly noticeable scratch in the top-left corner of the screen.
The Ghost Armor goes on relatively simple enough, but in 3 applications, I've found it impossible to keep at minimum 2-3 specks of dust out from under it when I go to smooth it down, which create a bubble you CANNOT get rid of, and I can feel them under my fingertips when scrolling around on the screen. For someone as anal as myself when it comes to things like this, these make my head want to explode. I'm also noticing around the edge of the film (which doesn't extend all the way to the edges of the screen, and I find this to be really lame), it's gathering dust and finger... gunk. Finally, and I might be alone in this, but I think it takes the sharpness of the display away. Not to a hugely noticeable amount, but it's there, and it bugs the hell out of me.
Any nice cases that are comparable to outerbox but with a lens protector?

I tried the 'Greatshield AG' (product title on Amazon below, can't link since I'm newb.) - 3 pack for like $7.
Sucks. Feels and performs great, but causes a pixellated rainbow 'shimmer' on the screen, highly annoying. Might try some of the others in this thread to see.
Avoid these.

best screen protector to use with Spen

So, got my note a few days ago at BB, and had them throw on a Zagg protector...what a POS!!!
Brought it back the next day since it was full of scratches and orange peel marks, and they put a new one on; they suggested I do not use the SPen for a couple of days, to help avoid scratches, so I did what they said, and used it yesterday, and there are scratch marks all over it. I never liked Zagg products because of the orange peel effect, but this thing is horrible...
I ordered a Spigen Ultra Crystal Clear the other day
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CRIU99U/ref=pe_309540_26725410_item
And I hope this is better...what have you gone to for a screen protector that doesnt scratch the first time you use it?
thanks

I have been using SGP projectors for years, and love how they feel like glass. Looking forward to your review. Currently have the UltraClear on my Note 2, but also want to look into the one they offer that is supposed to cut down on glare and fingerprints. If you like the UltraClear I may just spring for the anti-glare to give it a shot.

Well, I installed the ultra clear the other day, and I must say that this thing is completely clear, streak free,and smooth as glass!
The Spen works perfectly, no drag or slow down what so ever, and, the smudges arent too bad either; I usually wipe it off once a day, but its not even that bad..I just like things super clear...
The only possible negative is that you might get some annoying glare, but tilting the tablet a bit usually gets rid of that, but, when you have something clear as glass, and super smooth, its obviously going to have some glare. If that little bit of glare bothers you, you might want to get the other model, but it probably wont be as clear as the ultra clear one is.
I threw my Zagg in the garbage, as it is trash compared to this one!

Looking for best water screen protector

Ok so my gf got the S5 and she is trying to find a good screen protector, I personally like wet application screen protectors because they are the easiest to get on and have the best adhesion. So i was wondering if there was any good one for the S5?
She wants one that is clear, scratch resistant, and smug resistant but dont cost an arm and leg (a round the 20 mark max)?
If there isn't one that is water application but still have really good adhesion (meaning it stick to the edges of the phone) then will be willing to consider that as well.
Thanks in advance!!!
I have always used phantomskinz on all my phones. Love them!

Ok, have you considered a tempered glass protector? Adhesion isnt an issue and it doesnt get any easier to apply that these. However, if you are stuck on using the wet apply, ive always had good luck with the Zagg HD.

No she's never considered tempered glass protectors before and when I explained it to her she didn't seem all that interested in it since it's kinda became the trend where we both didn't have a screen protector on our last phone and suffered minimal scratches. So don't see the need for something as extreme as an extra layer of glass. But maybe the Zagg HD might work thanks.

Just a little more info. The tempered glass protectors do add a little more protection than the regular protectors but that's no where near the reason I recommend them. It's for the feel. It feel like you don't have a protector at all....like using the phone naked. Just my 2 cents. Since I started using them a couple years I won't use anything else.

There are typically several options available. For example spigen and mime are the two companies whose glass I've used and they both offer ultra thin versions or standard versions with rounded edges. Personally I prefer the rounded edges as the transition from the home button and such is smooth as can be. As far as case issues I've never had that problem. Especially on phones like the s5 where the bezel actually has its own little lip anyways.
I did a review on the neo hybrid somewhere in the accessories forum and I have my screen protector on in those pics but I don't recall if there is a good view or not. I will gladly take a couple photos and post them here for you on my lunch break.

Tempered glass is the way to go, adds a little bit of thickness but feels like using the phone naked, I had the zagg HD on while I waiting for my glass ones to come in. The Zagg was very good for the wet application but still has that rubbery feel all wet application suffer from. Look on ebay or amazon you can get them dirt cheap for around 5 dollars, I usually buy 4 at a time and once they get a little beat up or the anti finger print coating starts to wear off I replace them.

lol typos happen don't spend 25 dollars on the same thing that cost five. I got mine in 12 days shipped for free. I have tried probably every brand of tempered glass out there in the last 3 years. Typos do happen. That being said the oleophobic coating is definitely not the only thing to worry about. Fit is important and the cheaper ones don't necessarily have the exact fit but the may. Hardness is extremely important as its what determines scratch resistance. Thickness is also a big deal. The difference between .3mm and .23 mm doesn't seem like much but it can create an obvious lip and also cause case issues. Also, rounded edges are a huge deal and not all glass protectors have them. And the thicker the protector the more important rounded edges become.

REVIEW amCase Hybrid Bumper Case And amFilm Screen Protector Premium HD Clear

Hi, this is a review of the amCase Hybrid Bumper Case And amFilm Screen Protector Premium HD Clear.
I received them this week, i like the back transparency, because it lets the original S5 design show, the case has a nice fit and lets very good space to access all ports, also it feels good to the touch and has a nice grip, since the back is solid, also this make it feel like a more expensive product.

I didnt like the case because of its back. It kept giving me goosebumps....its a weird material
I'm thinking about trying this case and wondered how it fits. Also, how is the installation?
Any more info on the Screen Protector?
Recently bought another brand off Ebay and was wondering if the amFilm brand you mention is any better? The ones I got were really hard to align and just did not seem to go down right. This caused the edges of the protector not be sealed down tightly and I constantly get air bubbles in the sides and near the home button. I even payed extra for fast shipping so it was kind of expensive. The ones your talking about are cheaper and get good reviews so I am considering trying them. Did your friend happen to mention how the protectors fit? Or if he has had any problems with air bubbles?

I even payed extra for fast shipping so it was kind of expensive. The ones your talking about are cheaper and get good reviews so I am considering trying them. Did your friend happen to mention how the protectors fit? Or if he has had any problems with air bubbles?

he told me it fitted right and the few air bubbles, he took them out with a credit card, rubbing it on the protector to the edges.

If I was to get the protector and ended up having the same problem, would this method definitely fix it?

Sounds great. Does this come with a plastic card in order to do so?

Yes! Thanks for the help. I'll be purchasing this case whenever I get some time. One last thing, do you think this will fit most phones?
Purchased this case the other day and it's great! One of the best cases I've had.

whitestone worth the premium?

I'm looking around for a tempered glass with decent touch responsiveness. do we know much about how well WSD will protect the screen vs other protectors? it costs quite a pretty penny. i was wondering if any of you had experience with cheaper ones that'll offer the same level of protection? this one (https://www.amazon.com/LK-Protector...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YX5Y8Z1JQ3BMGQX5XTF8) is quite highly rated at amazon and has a fakespot rating of A. anyone tried it out?

The link you provided is a product that only has adhesive on the sides, don't waste your time there will be an air gap and the screen responsiveness will be garbage. Like you said those reviews are fake and you would be wasting your time and money if purchased. Yes the WhiteStone dome is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I have had mine installed since Launch and not a single issue, it looks and feels like there isn't even a screen protector installed. For a product that could potentially save your phone from breaking, why skimp out? Would you buy cheaper tires on your car that are much more likely to fail? No.
I do believe that the Whitestone is worth the price.
I have been using tempered glass screen protectors for a few years now and the Whitestone is much easier to install, bacause of the jig that comes with it.
I have installed the Whitestone on two Note 9s. One for the wife and mine.
The only issue I have is a minor one. It seems a bit of excess glue is around the edges and atractslint from my pocket.
The coverage and feel is awesome.
Once you buy the full kit that includes the UV light, only the replacement kit is needed for any other install or phone. The replacement kit comes with the jig, but not the UV light.
I refrained from purchasing a phon ewith a curved screen until this type of screen protector was available. I refused to deal with the ege only attached protectors.
It is a bit pricey, but I highly recommend it. After all, you are protecting a thousand dollar phone. Twice what I've ever paid for a phone.
My experience with the whitestone: It is ok if you dont mind the sharp edges when you swipe from the sides. In my case, air bubbles started to appear at the right edge. Whitestone sent me one replacement which I am trying to sell, because I don't see it working in my case.
Pros:
Clear;
Sensitive;
Warranty (although you have to pay for shipping);
Cons:
Sharp edges;
Air bubbles appear at the edges after some time, 2 months in my case;
The adhesive left exposed at the sides attracts dust/lint;
how do you get the glue off when removing? I bought a twin pack but the first is quite scratched

The glue is attached to the glass, not your phone. Once you begin peeling the screen protector off you will notice the glue is only on the screen protector and your phone is left clean.
does the whitestone dome work with the Note 9 included case? as im fairly happy with the included case for now, but i wanna get the dome screen protector if its compatible.
What is the included case? In my country there is no included case, but it is compatible with the samsung silicone case.

Oh what?! I didn't realise that. Well in Australia it comes with a clear rubber/silicone type case inside the box. I believe it's the same one samsung sell on their accessories page. So I guess it'll be compatible then, sounds like the same one you're talking about. Thanks

I think it's worth the premium. Been using it since S7 days and installed, I think 7, on friends/family phones. Killed itself for 3 displays from drops so far.

You're welcome!
A benefit of the vast research, conducted for the purchase of A Note 9 for the wife. Thru that and setting it up for her, I was so impressed that I got a Note 9 for myself. The 8/512 version, of course.
My first non rootable phone in about 6 years.
I am digging it!

I was really hesitant on spending $40 on a 2 pack of tempered glass. But after biting the bullet i couldn't be happier with the glass. It fits and feels great. Doesnt disrupt the touch sensitivity and keeps the premium feel of the phone. I hated that the cheap ones that only have adhesive on the sides and dot matrix on screen made the phone feel super cheap because it felt like you were touching a plastic screen.

be careful, however, if the phone falls and hits the glass film, it does not protect the display and breaks, it happened to me on note 8.
In other words, it protects only from the graff.

No tempered glass is going to protect your screen from cracking. It helps but doesn't prevent it if the hit/drop is right.

If you want a tempered glass screen protector then the only option that works well (IMO) is the Whitestone Dome. The issue is (and I've tried many times) with Whitestone Dome is that the sides of your screen protector may get tiny bubbles even after you think the install was perfect. Mine showed up after a day and spread to the enter left and right side of the protector.
