[Q] Stock clock with ascending alarm - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm fine with the stock clock application, don't need anything fancy but it drives me nuts having to wake up to an alarm at full volume. I know I can lower the volume but I am worried about sleeping through it.
Is there a modified stock alarm clock with an ascending volume option? Think I remember having one before, maybe on a CM ROM. I know I can just download another clock application for this but I rather just have the stock application, just with that feature.

Proper Alarm Clock

Is it just me or do the alarm clock on this thing really blow? It repeats once every 5 min with some odd sound and that's it, I won't wake up. I need something that starts low and increases for example. Am I checking wrong when I goto Clock and Alarm
No you're not I think, much trouble about that clock including the fact that it won't sound loud if the phone is in vibrate mode - these kinds of alarms (not event alarms) should sound anyway...

Click to collapse
For the increasing sound, you can use a custom soundfile, that's long & loud enough to wake you up...
As for the vibrating mode I can only think of a workaround... recently 1 saw a program that switches sound profiles automatically (don't ask I don't remember the name). You could set it to switch to "Loud" before the alarm sounds...

Nexus 5 Alarm Clock Bug

Hi. Recently bought a brand-new Nexus 5 phone. Set it up and installed some apps but not a lot. Now, found a bug.
Same with my Moto G (4G), i can't seem to enable the Alarm Clock sound when my phone is on Silent (particularly at night before i sleep). Tried fiddling with the alarm clock settings and the Sound under the main settings (like turning up the volume) but nothing is happening; the volume is still down to zero.
Anyone else experienced this situation? Is there a solution?
Please advice.
What apps have you installed? Maybe its something you're installing.

It's got to be an app or a setting that's messing things up. I put my phone on silent at night and my alarm still goes off. When you hit the volume button do you get 3 sliders? Ringtone, Notifications, Alarm.
For your information i am using a brand-new Nexus 5 with Android 4.4.4 and the alarm in question is the stock N5 alarm clock. Yes, this is the first time i have encountered such problem although i have the same issue with my Moto G (4G) with 4.4.4 handset. Had a Galaxy S4 two weeks ago, installed the same apps and the S4's stock alarm clock has NO problems whatsoever.
Going to Sounds under Settings did not helped either. I can't turn up the volume of the alarm without turning up the volume of the Ringtones & Notifications and the Media which basically defeats the purpose of having the phone on Silent mode during night time.
In my experience of owning Android handsets in my opinion this is a bug that needs to be fixed/patched my Google.
Any more advice please?
@Gino76ph try this as a work around for now. Seems stock just lacks this feature.

If you are interested in Xposed Framework there is a module that will separate the Alarm volume Slider and Media volume slider into two separate sliders.

Xperia xz Alarm stuck at max volume

When trying to adjust the alarm volume in the settings, the actual volume of the alarm doesn't change a bit. It's simply stuck at the highest setting and I can't seem to change it. This is a problem because my alarm is so loud that it wakes my other family members as well, not just me.
I'm using an Xperia Xz and nougat
assuming you're using the stock clock app to manage your alarms (either stock or custom rom, doesn't really matter) you can simply adjust the volume from each alarm individually by just pressing on it/long pressing and tapping edit

Question How to change the default alarm clock sound?

Does anyone know how to change the default alarm clock sound and vibration for Google clock alarms that are set on the phone? I haven't found a way to change these and it annoys me when the clock is making a sound immediately when the alarm triggers. On my phone I have set it to be a raising volume alarm so I can wake up (or snooze) without everyone in the room waking up. My previous watch didn't have a speaker so it was just a vibration on the wrist that woke me up.
