[Q] Change firmware resolution - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I hope someone can help me with this. I bricked my device and the brand did not release the firmware for downloading. So I tried a firmware of a different brand, it did install and looks like it is working except for the resolution. The original resolution is 1920 x 1200 and the firmware I flashed is I believe 1280 x 800 or something. Now I have splitted screen and the tablet does not react on touches. The volume buttons and off/on button do work. Now, my question is can someone change the resolution for me in the firmware? I do not have the right tools and knowledge to do it. If someone can I would be so happy.
The device is an Acer A1-840FHD with an intel z3745 soc.
Cheers

I have a similar problem with an Archos A70BHT v2.
Any how to's or pointers would be most welcome
Keith

[Q] Can Foryo support 1024x600 resolution on this tablet?

I found that Android 2.2 Froyo only support upto 854x480, So what is the meaning of 1024x600 resolution on new Zenithink with 512mb/4GB, I might missing something.
Please explain it, if some one have better understanding.
P.S. Is this tablet is able to upgrade Homeycomb in future? I heard Honeycomb is made to support higher resolution!
You're source was either wrong or Froyo has been modified to accept our 1024x600 resolution. Android runs at the g-tablet's native resolution.
If Froyo support 1024x600 resolution, then why everybody is saying that Android 2.2 and lower are not good for tablets.
Also why it is said that Honeycomb is made to support larger screens of tablets.
Do a little research on your own... It's not up to everyone else to hold your hand on something that has been rehashed over and over on every Android news outlet imaginable.

Identify this Chinese ICS Tablet... (Updated with pics and specs)

UPDATED WITH NEW FINDINGS. STILL DUNNO WHAT BRAND IT IS THOUGH.
G'day. I thought I'd go around and hunt on eBay for a cheap ICS android tablet for kicks. I found the one below for a respectable $200. I know that isn't that cheap, but hey, at least it allows me to rip it apart if I'm not happy with it. I've seen some 7" ICS tabs are actually like dev boards hooked up to a LCD and battery... rather amusing (and goes to show how lazy the chinese makers are).
Was wondering if anyone knew about this particular tab.

So yeah. Question is, what tablet have I got? The listing URL below says Brand: EKEN, but I doubt that - EKEN only made crappy VT8505 tabs, didn't they? The listing in question: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/300699439891.
Cheers!
中国200美元的平板多了去!配置高价格便宜!
One of my friend has one if this, and it's terrible. they wont let u install market apps and etc. The android version on it is terrible and it's better to wait a lil bit til the prices drops from asus tab or galaxy tab than get a "ICS" tab that will never work properly,
EKEN Has this A10 Powered at android-sale
All A10 Processor Device are main able to install google-play script to get market to download apps and games as I9100
Okay crew, check it out. My tablet has arrived, and interestingly enough, it's nowhere near what it said was it was going to be in the images department. I'm updating the first post with new pictures, but yeah, it's interesting.
Seems to be using a CraneBoard under the bonnet. At least Android System Info says so, you can check out the details for yourself here.
Opened it up and it's not a craneboard. It's actually an Allwinner CPU for sure.
However, I did manage to get Clockwork Recovery running on it which makes it easier to fool around with.

[Q]Which Car Radio Android Head Unit platform RK3066 o RK3188?

Thanks to the talk about Huafei and RK3066, I discover about the Car Radio OEM based on "pure" android... And now Im finilly find a brand and model seem fit on me, I find that a lot of OEM units are launch with he RK3188... But when I start looking info about these SOC, Just find not so much good info in how the SOC RK3188 works on Tablets... even some one had N90II Yuandao (RK3066), and must change to Vido N90FHD (97rq) (RK3188) and say its very bad 2d experience... say only good is see films... It's said Mali can't support big resolution....
Then... How it is going on Car Radio unit? What I saw, have the same resolution 1024 x 600... then... Must I deduce then the "agility" with apps will be the same of car units with RK3066?

Hi !
Unfortunately I couldn`t find a proper support for this device here on xda , you can ask for support on the specific forum where you`ve found the root method or post here https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help
Alternatively you can try to flash , if possible , the stock firmware , contact the manufacturer`s website or the seller for more help
Good luck !

need to change the LCD resolution size in the tab firmware..

i have a firmware damaged tab.can not find the original firmware for it.I found another tab (Vankyo matrixpad Z4) firmware with a motherboard similar to the on my tab motherboard and I flashed it successfully. Now my tab is booting. But the screen is not visible. Only the lcd backlight is visible.I think this problem occurs when the LCD resolution and kernel settings do not match.my tab lcd is 8 inch 800x1280 resolution.but Z4 tab has a 10 inch 1280x800 resolution lcd.can anyone make this firmware compatible with 8 inch 800x1280 resolution lcd ?
thank... (sorry for my bad english)
