Flash original ICS firmware to your phone (you need to downgrade for GSM and wi-fi working in CM10)
Download latest CyanogenMod-10 for your Xperia J.
Download modified boot.img
Replace boot.img in archive with modified boot.img.
Flash modified boot.img with CWM Recovery to your phone via fastboot ($ fastboot flash boot boot.img)
Turn on your phone and load into CWM Recovery. From CWM Recovery install CyanogenMod 10.

When you say it was flashing 3 times, do you mean those flashes failed?
Please re-charge your phone, try flashing again and post the log output of the flashing here, then we'll have another look to what's wrong.
you'll need to reflash stock ftf, unlock bootloader and flash a jb kernel, then install jb roms

http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/general/ftf-d2303-18-3-1-c-1-15-t3101082/page11
Here you can find how to root the last version of xperia m2 firmware
Yesterday i've installed CWM via this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/development/d2303-clockworkmod-6-0-4-6-t3011821
And succesfully rooted: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/general/xperia-m2-aua-2403-root-philz-touch-t3072833
See the youtube video, easier.
(This way of root doesn't require cwm, but i used cwm for other thing.)
My phone have locked bootloader.
You can create the 18.3.1.C.1.15 Xperia M2 ftf file: http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/08/1...re-files-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool-guide/
Very easy
I can't upload my tft file because my upload speed is equal sh1t: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4392002388
Hello Guys,
Need your help. Please help me out here.
My wife has a Sony xperia L which is still running Android 4.1.2 version. Now I rooted it with Root kit and tried flashing various Lollipop Roms like Cm12,primexperia and resurrection. But wifi does not work on all these Roms
I have tried almost every solution available on Xda.
I have used multiple custom recovery, N number of kernals and have flashed Boot.img and Thunderzap 4.16 from recovery after flashing the Roms. Still not luck.
Steps followed for flashing the Rom
1.Rooted with Rootkit and updated Supersu binary
2.Installed Busy box with Flashtool
3.Flashed a kernal (Tried TZ 4.14,4.7,4.8 Extended stock kernal and some more)
4. Booted to recovery ( Tried Cwm, TWRP, Philz)
5. Wipe data and all for clean installation
6. Flashed Rom zip (Cm12, Omni 4.4, Primexperia, Resurrection)
7. Flashed Gapps (As per the Rom)
8. Flashed Supersu zip to regain root access
9. Reboot to boot into new Rom
10. Wifi is not working so flashed boot.img from Rom via flashtool
11. Flash TZ 4.16 in recovery for cm12 ROMS.
Still wifi not working not sure what is the issue. It's working fine in Stock Rom.
Now I am upgrading to 4.2.2 via Sony update software.
Masters please help me out here. I can think of 2 solutions now.
1. First update to latest Sony official update (4.2.2) and then try again.
2. If there is any firmware file for stable lollipop version (with system.img, data.img and boot.img) which can be flashed using flashtool.

number 1. is correct the 4.1.2 software uses a really old modem that isnt compatible with LP based roms... The LATEST stockrom (...1.17 4.2.2) has the correct modem to make the wifi work

So, I have a ROOTED & UNLOCKED Xperia L which creates problems while installing a Custom Recovery. At first I tried the TWRP 2.8.7.0 which just wouldn't boot the phone and after using the Flashtool to reflash the Stock FTF; I tried the Rashr app and Minimal ADB and FastBoot to flash Recovery as well.
In every case the phone either wouldn't boot or just stay with TeamWin Logo Flashing intermittently.
I wonder what nooby mistakes are letting this kind of thing happen.
Long Story short - I need a decent custom recovery image (download link) that works on a Stock Xperia L that helps me take a full backup and the steps to install so I don't end up using the Flashtool everytime.

No need to flash any FTF,I faced the same situation when flashing custom rom u need to Flash working kernel in fastboot mode here is the link old Twrp kernel this will fix your problem.
*Note this kernel works only in 4.4.4 D2202/12
If file is in zip format Extract the file ,you will get boot.img file.
Switch off your phone by open back cover u need to click the off hole and charge your phone.
