Hello All,
Im completely new to this forum and android rooting. Unknowingly I tried loading custom ROM on my HTC one S yesterday. But it failed due to some reasons.
Currently, I'm unable to do the following things.
1. Boot the phone normally
2. Not able to enter recovery mode.
3. Not able to factory reset my phone to original state.
While trying to do factory reset, my phone is not going further. It is just showing entering recovery.
Please help me in getting back my phone to original state.
Thanks in advance.

Restore HTC One S to Stock
Hi,
The above link doesn't help. There is no link for the tool correctly and the recovery images.
Please help me in restoring my HTC ONE S to stock.
I'm specifically looking for steps to be followed for HTC One S.
Sir
This XDA Assist forum isn't a Help Desk, so for more questions please post in the thread i gave you above.

Here is a thread for your phone that lists just about anything you need.
Just read through it and select the proper ROM and try reinstalling before you do anything to your other phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28201813
this should help you get your phone working again.
I also found another thread that mat help:

Edit: sorry posted in wrong section mods delete comment if need be
If you have some sort of recovery on there, I suggest you wipe and flash a stock rom. Then figure out what went wrong.

I am a complete novice at playing with android phones but thought i`d have a play. I bought a htc one m7 that was not working and sent it to htc to repair which they did but ,apparently the phone had been bootloaded and they put this back on the repaired phone. Hence when i got it back , it all worked but i could not make calls. Sooo after reading some forums i tried to put a new rom on it, Android Hd one 84.0. Now the phone is stuck in a boot/recovery loop and is not recognised on my computer!! i`ve tried to adb sideload but this doesnt seem to load. Unfortunatley i didnt back up the the data before i done all this. Please help as im using an iphone and its killing me!!!!

Maybe it's just a bootloop and not a brick.
(Bootloop = neverending booting process, brick = either the download or the recovery mode doesn't work any more)
Here are some useful threads about those issues on your device:

Good luck !
Thanks. Have tried all of your suggestions but no joy. Having read the suggestions I noticed it said about re locking the boot loader before installing a rom? If i say exactly what I done maybe I somebody may be able to tell me my errors?
Unlocked using htcdev and rooted. Tried to get s-off using rum runner but it failed with a message"unfortunatley this isn't going to work out with your configure, you have 2 options
1) flash an unsecure kernel that's compatible with your rom
2)flash a different rom.
Have tried to reinstall Android hd one 84.0 from recovery mode, Get a message on installation page at the end saying set_metadata_recursive:some changes failed.
On reboot it goes straight to recovery page and if I go into fast boot the phone shows in the device manager but not as a drive???

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I can't find anything relevant to your device on XDA. I did find one thing that may give you a clue on how to flash the stock firmware but, CAUTION DO NOT use any of the device specific files in this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190

Okay So, I had rooted my s4 Active i537 using towel root and then installed safestrap to unlock the bootloader and get twrp recovery , everything went good till i decided to flash a stock lollipop rom then i remembered that i forgot to backup then i also had forgot to turn on debugging , so then i bricked the phone , i can get into download mode and twrp and stock recovery but everytime i try to flash to stock it flashes but when its booting up safestrap comes up and dont let even if i hit continue it either brings me to stock or twrp and need to know how to reset it back fully with no safestrap i cant sideload to even see if adb will work bc an error pops up and says "Libc.SO Needed
Please help me !:crying:
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The purpose of XDA Assist is to point you in the right direction on XDA. I see you've posted this question in other threads of XDA which are the right areas to post. The only other suggestion I can give you is to flash the stock firmware in oding. Please see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-active/general/galaxy-s4-active-firmware-guide-t2892445
Since you've already posted your question in the right areas of XDA I'm going to close this thread.
Hey everyone,
Up until recently, I've had no issues with my Zenfone 6. However last night the camera started acting up when I was trying to take a picture and the app suggested I restart my device inorder to rectify the problem. I followed the prompt and ever since last night my phone has been stuck in a boot loop. I have stock everything on this phone, I have experimented with roms and kernels in the past but didn't feel the need on this phone. I followed deadman96385 guide on how to unbrick your Zenfone but still have the same problem. I can't enter my recovery instead it just kicks me back to the boot screen. Unforchuntly, it is not unlocked so I have no way to flash twrp and install a fresh version of Android. I contacted Asus and their support suggested I find a local technician but I'm hoping git won't have to come to that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
