Let's talk holsters - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

I started this thread because I didn't find a lot of info about holsters. I bought the Seidio surface case and holster combo. I didn't like the quality of the case so I put the body glove suit up case back on. It fits in the holster for the surface. The Spigen ultra armor light would not fit in the holster. I don't know about any other cases. If you find a decent holster please post what cases that you know will work with it. I am not looking for combo's that are sold together. Just trying to create a resource for those who already have a case they like and the decide they would like to find a holster that works with it.

Trident Extended battery case

Just thought i would post and let everyone know about trident cases new Electra case for the sgs4g.
http://www.tridentcase.com/product_54_118.html
Has anyone here owned one of these? I actually quite like the look of that
I havent owned one yet, im probably gonna pick one up next weekend. It actually doesnt look much diff than other cases...i couldnt even tell that it was an extended battery case
large lip
I took a look at this case and decided that it wasn't a good fit for me. If you take a look at the pics you can see a substantial lip on the edges of the screen. I had another case with my old 3gs that had less of a lip than this case and I hated it.
It really makes it hard to click letters, numbers or anything else that is relatively close to the edge of the screen.
There is another case by this manufacturer that looks like it has a very minimal edge lip and I plan on getting it when I can afford it. Too bad this isn't a extended batery case
It is the Trident Aegis Series case. XDA would not allow me to post a link to it.
the link for the aegis case is
http://tridentcase.com/product_54_79.html
and the link for the aegis myskin (interchangable skin)
http://tridentcase.com/product_54_103.html
looks a little bulky but i might consider it for the extra battery life.
Yea it looks a lil bulky but its kinda got the otter box look to it and u can't really tell it has an extended battery.im all for trading size for protection...I've dropped my phone alot and it has plenty of dings on it

There is a seller on eBay (moretalktime) who sells custom TPU cases for a lot of phones including the galaxy s 4g with the extended battery.
Ive had the trident cyclops which is basically the same thing without the battery. It has excellent protection but the built in screen protector sucks and is extremely Glare-y (if thats a word lol) also the lip designed to protect the phone when it falls interferes with the screen when typing. I used it for about a week then switched back to my good ol' Otterbox Commuter case.
---------- Post added at 11:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:02 PM ----------
Oh yeah and yes it does add a lot of weight + thickness.

And the screen protector makes the screen less responsive
looks nice.. is a little big

Otterbox Commuter S4 Case Review

I managed to get my hands on an Otterbox Commuter for the S4. I only had a dummy to use but I'll redo the review with the phone as soon as I get it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UICURByP_fQ
Seems a good case, I like the design.
I finally got my S4 today so I'm using the case for a good test and i'll redo the review shortly.
The folks over at Otterbox just told me 1.5-2 weeks until their cases are out.

I'm looking forward to reviewing the Defender.
Will film the updated Commuter review tonight
Black Defender case
Got the Black Defender case yesterday. Absolutely stunning quality. The S4 is easier to hold while using the phone and gaming. Case itself seem to have good fit and it has no potential gaps for dust or dirt sticking between the phone and the case. Also the screen protector is amongst the best there is, it just aligns perfectly and the feel of the screen is pretty much as without it.
The only con for someone would be the size, but for me in need of a case that really protects while on a motorcycle and in the garage, this is it!
I will order the Glacier (White / Gunmetal Gray) version when released also.
I personally don't need the protection the defender offers but it is still an impressive case.

Samsung Qi backplate PROBLEM

I RECIEVED My Qi backplate from Samsung today. Works great, but BIG problem. My cases no longer fit. I bout the G3 backplate, and it did not change my phone one bit. This one in noticeably bigger. I have a Case Mate Tough naked coming tomorrow, and hopefully that one fits. This sucks... If I keep the back on, I can't use a case?
Haven't found a case that really fits, nor has anyone in the existing threads on Qi charging for this phone. My Versus case will go on, but fit would be an exaggeration.
Talk about a bummer.... Son of a gun..... Do any of the Samsung cases fit I wonder
Where is the qi thread your referring too
For the Note 3 they eventually brought out a Protective Cover Plus that fit.
http://goo.gl/e6wpa0 is one of the threads.

The samsung cases do not fit with the qi back plate on the note 4. Though I am sure something will come along shortly.
Do any of the Otterboxes Fit?
Otter box commuter does not fit. Right now I'm just using the rubber and it barely fits.
flip case
Hello ,
Since the Note 3 I was using the flip case from noerve.
Now for the Note 4 I ordered the Model 21168T1/f.
This one also works with the Samsung QI-Backplate.
It fits perfectly.
mfg , hjf
Fits in my poetic case, but slightly bulges. Like maybe a the thickness of a credit card between the edges. Still sealed as far as I can tell. And the built in screen protector is lifted slightly from the screen. Doesn't reduce screen responsiveness but adds a touch sound to the screen which I actually like.
This happened to my S5 a few months back, you might want to go best buy and try out a tech21 case. It fit for me
This backplate is proprietary then.

Does in completely envelop the phone or does the phone stick out a bit like this.
I bought a Case Mate naked tough for my kid, and REALLY liked it on the Turbo, so I ordered it for my Note4. I'm hoping it will fit. I'll know Monday
fits perfectly
Definitely this backplate doesn't work with the case from Samsung, but works fine with my other aftermarket cases.

Which N4 protective case like an Otterbox Defender for a building worker?

Hi,
I'm looking for a good protective case, because for a building worker.
I usually buy Otterbox Defender cases, but it seems they doesn't exist for a Nexus 4.
I already have a Ringe fusion case, but I'm afraid it won't be enough since it doesn't really protect the screen.
Which case would you recommand?
Thanks for your recommandations!
disregard

More protection than an Otterbox in my opinion, except for the screen.

Thanks for your quick answer ccs1676!
This case seems to offer a good protection indeed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wr92UnwPi5g), but as you said it doesn't really protect the screen, what I need.
Are there other suggestions?

Ultra thin cases?

does anyone make ultra thin cases anymore?
If I get a case I would just want it to keep the phone scratch free and provide a lip for setting it face down.
examples: Spigen Ultra Fit, Rock Quicksand Composite Poly-carbonate Shell Case
I suppose I should add that I saw the slim cases post with the spigen and the ringke. The spigen page isn't loading for me and their 'slim' case has proven to be rather chunky on some phones, not like their ultra fit which doesn't seem to exist anymore. The ringke looks like it might work though, it's 1.2mm and has a lip on front. I'm looking for more options, nothing against ringke or spigen, but choices would be nice. Obviously there aren't a ton of cases for the pixel so the question is more general. Are there specific makes/models of cases that are super thin for phones recently that I can keep an eye out for?
Wait for a Calicase.

that is super thin for sure! thanks. I think I'd prefer a poly-carbonate hard shell but I may have to give this one a go considering how thin it is.
Yeah I started http://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-xl/accessories/list-hard-shell-polycarbonate-t3475260 in quest to find a hard and thin case.
Didn't know the Calicase. I will add to the waiting list.

Bearmotion is making one...I had bearmotion for my M8, worked great, and had a very similar (though not as rough) feel to the Rock Quicksand on the GS3...I do wish Rock Quicksand would come out with one though.
I've had my eye on an iBeek case. It has a smoked rim and clear backing to show off the Pixel or Pixel XL's two tone design. Just not sure why shipping is so far out.

With last years 6P the Tudia case was one of my favorites TPU cases. Very thin and had a nice feel. I am going to give it a try again this year with the XL:

my issue with the bear motion case is the almost non existent front lip. I place my phone face down all the time. that being said with as cheap as it is I'll likely order one anyway just to test it.
Thanks to everyone for suggestions
So far I have received the RedShield, but still no phone to put it on and take pictures.
Anyways, its not "thin" it looks just like the OZRLY TPU, quite "standard" imho.

I purchased the maxboost and love it. Super slim and discreet. The grip is ideal for me because I want to effortlessly remove and place the phone in my pocket. I've had grippier cases that made removing the phone from my pocket difficult while seated.
where to buy Maxboost in Europe?
