Can anyone tell me what is good to do after completing account. Maximize battery life and all that things ?
For what is these options for screen brightness ? Is there need for turning on them or just leave it ?
Thank you
Switch all scales to 0.5 in developer options and switch to art runtime instead of davlik.

Unlock your bootloader if you haven't done so already.
Doing this will allow you to keep your files if you do choose to tinker with your phone. Otherwise, unlocking the bootloader will wipe your phone completely.

Does switching to art runtime drastically increase the battery life?
How would I go about doing this? I'm currently rooted and running Mahdi rom
Nothing... You don't have to do anything to the phone, it runs perfectly without tinkering with it. IF you decide to play with it read the threads on Rooting and unlocking also on the battery tweaks and have fun.

Its up to you and your personal use
You can set it to adjust automatically or manually
I personally use lux for my screen brightness adjustments.
Remember brighter screen means lower battery life.
First thing test the phone to make sure it has no defects. Then unlock boot loader. Then it's all up to you what u want to do lol

Hey all
I had a wake lock trigger that was draining my battery so I decided to try and find what was causing it. I turned off all background sync and disabled GPS. I charged my phone to full and then let it drain over night. As you can see in screen shots... Massive drain occurred with no visual signs of the cause. Anyone have an idea?

Did you get any shots of the Kernel Wakelocks and Partial Wakelocks screens in bbs? That's where you would see the culprit(s). Also, do you ever do soft reboots? Some people (including myself) have experienced increased battery drain with no visible wakelocks after soft rebooting. Doing a full reboot seems to fix it.

It's definitely something using Wi-Fi. Need more in depth analysis

I've disabled wifi and it drained to dead. Going to recharge to full and see what it does off wi-fi. What could I do to see why/if wi-fi is killing it?
You can see it is draining it in your screen shots. Maybe you didn't fully disable the background Wi-Fi usage. "scanning always enabled" for example

Doesn't look like its disabled correctly. Your screenshot shows nearly 8 hours Wi-Fi.
Maybe there is a bug in your settings data.
Not sure if you're rooted or not but maybe a backup / wipe is the best course of action

while at first it looks high, in reality it isnt(yet). in your screenshot you have only lost 5% battery so far with light use. at this point you really cant tell what your battery will be like with use.

ahh, thats a little better, but itll drop a little more with use. while 20 is a little high, id still classify as normal. really anything up to 20% is normal. typically, after a full cycle, i see android os between 9-15%. but it would all depend on exactly how you use your phone.

i see that chrome(and chrome sandbox) is taking a huge amount of battery for very little use. 21% together, just to respond to xda..
Install system monitor from play store and check CPU freq and number of CPU's online while screen on.

As said above....use the phone normally and check when its almost drained. It will surely be much lower.
If location is on...it will probably be higher than 10% I'd guess. If so....completely normal.
So I got the closed framework and downloaded gravity box, knock code, and app ops. While the phone was fully charged and on standby it turned from 100 to 75% in a couple hours on standby. And while using thenphone there was too much battery drain. Does anyone know from which this happens (I think GB) but please share.
PS. Before applying I would get 20h+ of battery on low to medium usage.
Doesn't knock code need the digitiser to be powered up even when the screen is off?

The Knock Code drains your battery. It requires the digitizer to be constantly on, thus the drain.

The knock code module just replaces the pattern lock. It doesn't keep the digitizer on like the LG G3. Doesn't work when the screen is off.
Sent from my Nexus 5
Battery drain rates are very dependent on usage patterns and sometimes the most insignificant settings changes can lead to well hidden sources of current consumption.
So my advise is to try to remember if you made any changes in your applications or usage patterns right before or after starting to use Xposed, as your answer my lie there.
Also try to identify if the high drain occurs from Xposed itself or one of the modules, by deactivating and/or uninstalling modules and Xposed. Please be very careful that usage patterns might easily tip your conclusions off.
To somehow prove what I'm saying here, I've noticed that on a high usage day, my N5 can last as low as only 8-10 hours on a charge, while on a low usage day, after 12 hours since unplugging, it still has at least 80% of the original charge.
Have a nice day!

I guess it is on the LG G3, but on that device it can also be used when the screen is on, as a lock screen method, which is what the module emulates.

Its fine that its only while the screen is on and its pretty cool actually.
I think I found the problem and that's its from xposed itself....after I uninstalled the framework I THINK that there is less drain...

You're labeling your phone defective because of a benchmark score?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
If I'm analyzing the information you provided correctly, I'd say it's definitely defective. I recommend selling it on swappa and purchasing an iPhone.!.!???.!.!.!
No it is not defective.
If you go to the development sections and read the opening posts on the kernel threads....they usually list the features.
Research and reading are the XDA way!
Clearly read instructions before flashing anything of course.

Guys also my phone generated the 2nd bug report without me doing anything... Once before too it did it by itself... Also when I used my phone while it was charging... Yes, but no one has been able to access it....like for double tap to wake that a lot of kernels have now. So dt2w and "always listening" are running off normal cores and keeping the phone awake....and costing pretty big battery loss.
The N5 has a pedometer on that core, where the X has active display and I believe always listening. No one has gained access to the low voltage core on either device. Its probably not doable without major code changes.

I can't do much with what you have. That's why I requested you provide a BBS log.
I can tell you that you need to go into Developer Options and disable NuPlayer (and reboot). That's (one of) the culprits of crazy battery drain in 5.0. I don't use ElementalX, so I can't say if it's default settings are contributing to your problems or not. You may want to roll with stock until this issue is fixed?
I recommend for now turning off NFC and turning location off or setting to GPS only. Working pretty good on CM12.

Hello.
Are you on stock rom and have you unlocked your boot loader or rooted your device?
Which Android version are you using?
We can see which app is running in the background and heating your phone but for that we'd need rooted device.
However, boot into safe mode and see if it still heating up quickly.
When power off menu appears, hold restart/power off to boot into safe mode.
It'd give you a good idea about if it's some app or your device.
Alternatively try repairing your phone using Sony Pc companion and see if it fixes it.
Quote me back if you expect a reply.

As I expected, some background app you are using is the actual problem.
Use ES file explorer and see any difference. To be able to pinpoint, you'd need apps like wakelock detector (root) and maybe some battery saving app could tell you which app is draining most of your battery and might be the root cause of it

Well, try updating your app and see if you see any difference. Basically an app can constantly run in background and overload your system memory, thus can drain your battery with heating issues.
Yes, EVEN AN APP can make a big difference.
Try GREENIFY and greenify ES FILE EXPLORER and see if it gets better. (runs better on root but can be used unrooted as well)
