Hey guys, so I don't know very much at all about android but this site seemed to me to be the best place to try and get an answer.
I own a Nexus 5 running stock Android.
Today I attempted to download and install Android Lollipop however i think something unlucky happened.
Halfway through the download my phone apparently reached its monthly data limit and stopped the download.
When it stopped the download window disappeared and when i got home to wifi, i got a notification saying that it had finished downloading and was ready to install.
The download started and the android man came up with the progress bar but when the progress bar reached the end nothing happened.
I then stupidly turned the phone off and when it came back on i noticed that there was the new type of boot screen but it loops on that.
I have alread gone into the restore menu and reset system and cleared the caches but it hasn't worked.
No idea what to do now, please help me!!!!
Thanks
Hi there
You can ask for help here, but please be more specific about what you actually did to your device, so it's more clear on what "formatting" you did.

Hi, I am COMPLETELY new at rooting, so please bear with me. I just rooted my nexus 4 a week back and got paranoid. Today, I installed a mod to change the recent apps format to android l. However, when i installed it using CWM, it successfully installed, but then got stuck in a bootloop. The phone wont connect to my computer by USB at all (USB debugging is on), so i cant delete the file that caused it from my computer. In CWM, i wiped all data/factory restored it, wiped all the cache (normal and dalvik), and it still wont boot up. Can someone please help- i need the easiest way possible, since im completely new, as I said. Not restoring to stock os would be preferable. Thanks.

I got a rooted OPO . it worked correctly until the last update. There was a notification on the phone to update to the newest version, but when i clicked on it the phone will reboot and open the TWRP wich says "failure". So i checked on the internet and tried to manually patch it via an incremental update here http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/cm11s-official-untouched-image-t2857110 . it said succesful but when I restarted the phone "unfortunatly google play has stopped working" started to pop up on the screen each 0.5 sec. even settings and google services stopped working. so i tried to do a factory reset via TWRP. the phone got formatted but the problem was still there...even when I was picking the lang of the phone. I tried searching on internet to clear the cache and data of all google play services but nothing changed. I got my phone almost dead now. I can't even sync it to the google server 'couse it stops working everytime I call it. what can I do? here's the logcat. i think it's not complete 'couse there was too many warnings and the prompt was full... http://pastebin.com/66y1wN6Q I can't even find a way to restore it like a stock rom (and i don't even know if that will fix it)... pls help me I'm desperate

Hi,
A weird thing happened to me just now and I couldn't find any hint of an answer so I'm asking here.
I got the N9 a few days ago, and installed a few apps and played a few games and everything worked great
Then today I let the battery go to 0% and the device power down automatically from loss of battery.
Then I charged it to maybe 15% and powered it on and after it booted correctly, I tried to open a few of my previously installed apps/games and I noticed they were all re-downloading them self again.
So to be clear, when I click on any of my installed game that were working fine before the reboot, a background notification tells me it's downloading and the apps hangs. When done I have to restart the app.
The worse part is for any game I paid, the download fails with the error message: "Download failed because you may not have purchased this app", but I did, I swear
Some of my apps are still working fine without re-downloading though.
This is really weird, and I'm not sure if it is a Lolipop bug or something?
I didn't touch any particular setting of the N9, didn't root or change anything, it's full stock and up to date.
If anyone knows about this and can help it would be really appreciated

So I've had this tablet for a while now, and normally I come here for any help, tips and guides for rooting or unbricking.
Never have I had a block in the road till now. Originally the settings kept saying "unfortunately settings and stop".
I cleared the cache first then.... didn't work. Then the date storage.... didn't work either.. and finally I went extreme.
I factory reset the thing. Major no no... Now the lock scene is gone as well as blue tooth and wifi are non accessible.
If I try opening it, it'll crash and or sometimes just reboot on its own.
I really do not want to bother anymore with fixing the error and just want to revert back to stock rom.
So does anyone have the original firm ware? It is currently running JB 4.2.2
The MODEL # is P310A
I did flash the recovery to Clockwork Recovery. Since the original recovery menu
did not have a clear 'dalvik cache' option.
Yes I understand I have royally destroyed this thing. But this thing is completely useless to me if I can't log on to the net.
-Thank you.

I ran the Android 7.1.1 update on my 2015 Nexus 9 which Failed (it end up with the Green Android guy on his back showing 'Error').
Now when I try to power up / boot, it shows a black screen with 'Google' then powers off and comes back with the same screen, and so on.
I've tried a Factory Reset that did an Erase, but same result - bootloop still there.
Recovery takes me to the Green Guy again but this time showing 'No command'.
The only other thing I can add, is that my Tablet was Encrypted. (Should not matter?)
At least I can Power Off.
Any ideas as to what I should try next?
Thanks Guys.
