I shut the screen off my stock ICS TF700t. When I went to use it next, it was off. I turned it on and it is stuck on the ASUS boot screen with a spinning circle.
I've read every forum I could find (most are due to upgrades, not stock).
I tried:
-Pressing pin reset on side of device
-Booting to recovery and wiping
-Letting battery run down and retrring
-Copying stock ROM from ASUS site to SD card and trying to flash it through the bootloader menu (I downloaded for SKU US. Not sure of SKU as I can't get booted to check).
It just spins at the ASUS logo indefinitely (have left it for hours).
Any other ideas?
I can't flash a different ROM because the device is locked and I need a new boatloader, correct?
I'd rather not send into ASUS if I can do anything. I bought it less than a year ago so I think it is still under warranty.
I downloaded stock from a forum (4.1.1) and tried that and it worked. It was the same US sku, so I am not sure why the one from ASUS's site didn't work.

Not sure if I've soft-bricked or full bricked my Asus TF300T, here's what happened, hope someone can help. I unlocked the bootloader with the Asus unlock tool back in July, didn't root my tablet though until this past month. Had no issues and was running the BAKED BlackBean 6 custom ROM. Then this past week, when Asus released a new update to the stock ROM, I decided to try and update that (since I had read on the forums here that the update really made the tab run smoother and it gave a major increase to the battery life). I flashed the stock ROM (10.4.2.18) through TWRP touch recovery but wasn't sure if I needed to also flash the 10.4.2.18 kernel also. When I went to reboot, TWRP recovery was saying that there was no OS so I decided to recover back to the backup of BlackBean 6 that I had made before I started this. During the reboot, it seemed to take forever for the OS to boot so I rebooted using volume down and power. Saw the Wipe Data option there and figured I should try that and then restore back to stock before trying everything again. Well, now I'm stuck at the very start of a reboot, with just the Asus logo showing in the middle of the screen and the line "This tablet is unlocked" at the top left-hand corner of the screen. Cannot boot into recovery, Fastboot or anything. Can someone please help me?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777203
hope helps c:
The thing is, I cannot seem to access the option to go to recovery or USB. When I turn on using volume down and power, it doesn't give me anything other than the Asus logo in the middle of the screen and "the device is unlocked" at the top left corner.

Hi everybody,
First of all, I must tell you that I've been using Android devices for over 3 years. So, I'm not a total newbie with Android. I must say that I've always been using Stock Android so far. Which makes me a real amateur in customisation.
That been said, here's my actual problem. I have rooted my tablet and unlocked the bootloader through the Transformer Toolkit available on Asus website following a step by step walkthrough. Everything went well. I have SuperSU installed and I'm rooted. Also, I have that little message saying my bootloader is unlocked when I turn my tablet on. No issue yet.
Since I'm still an amateur in installing custom ROM, I downloaded ROM Installer which is supposed to do all the dirty work for you. I chose CM 10.1.3 Stable since I wasn't interested in Nigthly yet. It downloaded normally. Once that was done, I used the ''Install ROM from SD Card'' option. It then rebooted in TWRP Recovery Mode, did a Backup and I wiped cache & Dalvik. It did what it had to.
Now, the tablet rebooted and the CynagenMod logo appeared with a blue circle spinning. Visually, it seemed to do something like an installation or something so I let it run all night. This morning, it hadn't change. The logo is still there with the spinning blue line. I can't do anything, no icon, nothing. I rebooted my tablet by holding the power button a few seconds. It restarted, showed the Asus logo and went back to the CyanogenMod logo again. Same thing as yesterday. I'm stuck there. Whatever I do, I can't get pass that logo.
My question is... Is there something I did wrong ? Otherwise, is there a way to get back to my stock 4.2.1 Android version ? I'm kinda afraid to do anything since I don't want to brick my tab.
I'm awaiting your tips and comments. Oh and please, don't be too harsh, English isn't my primary language and I tried to be as clear as possible. If you need more information, don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks in advance
I do not run CM roms, but it sounds as if you are on the wrong bootloader. Check here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957660
Try to get into TWRP by holding Volume Down and Power buttons. Hopefully you made a nandroid before you flashed??? Restore it and you are back on your stock rom.
Or copy the Asus firmware on a microSD (unzip the downloaded file once on your computer, put the resulting zip on the microSD) and flash that in TWRP.
But you will loose your custom recovery and probably all data if you do this, and will have to start from scratch.
Thanks, I was able to restore my recovery and went back to my Stock ROM.
I tried flashing CROMI and it worked at first try. Now this pad is a bomb!

Ok, so I gave my wife my old TF101 when I got the 701. I reflashed it with a fresh install of timduru's KatKiss ROM. It's been running reasonably well aside from random reboots. all of a sudden, yesterday it stopped booting up at all. It shows the normal Asus flash screen, but then when it shows the OS specific one (in this case, the weird little picture of timduru's meerkat thing...) it's just flashing random little bits of tha tpitcure all over different parts of the screen an some sort of random flickering and never going past it. I can still boot to the recovery normally, so I wiped it and tried reflashing the same ROM and ended up with the same thing. Tonight I plan to try to download the newer version of the ROM and try, but I fear I may be SOL. Any other suggestions?
Have you tried wiping everything 100% in TWRP Recovery?
Including Data etc ?

Yes, I did that. Still no good. I'm pretty much screwed, aren't I?
If your TF serial number starts B6O or lower, some B7Os too, then it is SBK1, which means you can use NVFLASHable ROMs - they delete and remake every partition on the TF and reinstall stock ROM - you could try that in case the sdcard is corrupt
stuck at TWRP screen, failed to flash bootloader
Hello everyone,
Not to thread jack but I have a similar problem and instead of opening a new thread I decided to revive this one.
I have a similar problem that my TF101 has been working flawlessly for many years. It is rooted and was running 4.3 ROM. As of yesterday, it just won't boot at all. It has been stuck at the NVidia screen and just sits there. I tried to enter recovery mode by using volume(-) + power and the unit presents the TWRP logo and just loops as well by showing the TWRP screen (3 seconds) then going blank for a second then showing TWRP screen again in a cycle. I downloaded and tried Easyflasher and Brks toolkit and nothing can complete the flash. I can enter MTP mode which the computer can see the device but the manufacturer name and model are not-recognized. I can also enter APX mode but while trying to flash anything I get an error message (error, cannot flash bootloader) and the computer dings (device disconnects).
I have been trying for a day now and have run out of ideas.
Has the unit finally bit the dust? Does any one out there have any more ideas or suggestions on what to try next?
TIA for any help provided.
Dear guys and girls,
I have a problem. Since 2 days my tf300t is for some reason not starting up anymore. The start screen does not go away. Before it worked like a charm. I have tried almost everything, I can think of. As far as I know the latest firmware is installed. The problem is also that the tablet isn't in developer mode. So my options are limited afaik to fastboot. I have installed the naked drivers version 0.73. But windows is saying that the device is not started. Only fastboot is started as device. I have tried to reinstall the firmware by usb, but to no avail. It sends but doesn't write... I have drained the battery to zero level. Can anyone help me with this? What am I missing?

I'm also having this same issue. Tablet was working fine and then froze up. After rebooting we are now stuck on the Asus screen with the circular logo going. Waited over an hour with no change. Tried to boot into recovery and recovery crashes and gives me Error! This is a stock tablet that hasn't been unlocked or anything.
Update: Did a Data Wipe and the device rebooted and came up. Doing all the updates again. Hopefully it wont mess up again.
So you have an unlocked bootloader ?
Hi everyone.
I have a ASUS TF300T for over 10 years now. It is an awesome tablet and the last 4 years it has been my daughter's playing buddy. Around 6 years ago, as the performance of the tablet was horrible, I started to inform my self of what I could do to have a usable tablet again and that was when I found out about custom roms. So I did my research, unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP bootloader and flash Timduru's ROM to it. It worked like a charm. Great performance and usability for the almost dead (thanks to ASUS) TF300T. Around the time Timduru's last ROM for this tablet was released, was also the last time I upgraded the TWRP to the latest version which I don't remember its version. Now to my problem... Last week my wife told me she couldn't get the tablet to work. As I looked at it, what I saw was the ASUS logo (with the device is unlocked at the top left corner) and then the Timduru's logo comes up and hangs, after a while it reboots to the ASUS logo again and just does everything the same over and over again non stop, can't even shutdown the device. If I hooked the usb cable to a PC it does the same but after 6 reboots the device shuts down. Then I tried to enter recovery so, volume down and power it on, the menu comes up as normal but now I tried to enter TWRP. Splash screen appears and reboots to the ASUS logo again. Then Linux pinguins show up at the top left corner and enters again to the TWRP splash screen and reboots. Now that's where I'm stuck at. Can't do anything. Volume down and power up don't do anything either, it always goes straight to TWRP recovery and reboots again. In the PC the Android device shows up until the tablet restarts again. Also tried adb but it always stalls or gives some strange info until the tablet restarts again. So my question is... I anyone able to help me restore this back to funcionality? My daughter would really appreciate your help guys! Thanks!

Hi there, I'm sorry for my late replay, because I'm not often been looking up here. Here is my advice:
The only way to get out of the loop you should do a "Buster99" to get back on Stock Rom Jelly Been 4.2.2. After that you'll be able to install the CR again. Therefore you should look up all my posts within this thread over the years. There you'll also find the right links leading to Buster99. Don't forget you need "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" to do a Buster99.
All the best and good luck, ebonit
