This image looks very smooth on my laptop screen using Chrome. However, Chrome on my Z3 shows very bad banding. And not only Chrome, but also when I open this photo with Album app.
Do you see this problem on your Z3? Sorry that I cannot post the image directly.

This is strange since Z3 screen has 16 million color, not the cheap old 16 bit one. Could it be the OS issue?

That image shows banding on my $2000 screen using chrome, maybe my resolution is too high. It looks no different and any browsers I use, even on a dell ultra sharp 1080p screen
Looks about the same as above on my phone using Chrome.
Do a service test on your phone to check the display is displaying well.
Open your phone dialer then enter the following with the keypad, *#*#7378423#*#* then click on service tests, then Display. If you click on the screen it will switch to the next display test.
Also supply a screen shot so people can see what you are talking about, hold the power button down, then select Take screenshot. Attached the screenshot of how this looks on my phone.

I rotate the phone 180 degrees to let you see another side
How do you judge it? I think mine isn't that bad.

you need to put on something that is black background to see it. i can see it across the top and bottom , i can also see it very similair on my tv if i look at it the same way looking up into it. its there adn you can see it but its not that noticable unless your looking for it on mine. the pics the other poster showed were definaltey worse than mine. This does not make me regret the purchase at all.
i cant really see it at all when its the standard white bar across the top on froyo.
How about this one? Get "draw!" from market.
I have to put a dot at the center in order to take picture.
Added a pic of MT4 under similar situation (using draw!), but since the screen is less sensitive, I have to draw a small circle instead of the dot.

If you have to ask if it's bad....it's not bad.
I use Chrome because I can't deal with the sluggishness if chrome and its choppy scrolling, the thing is opera uses a different image viewer while using Google images, and when I try to tap on the image the dialog to save or open the picture dissappears too fast, is anyone else having this issue?

Does it happen all the time? I find the image dialog stays if I tap and hold and image on a web page. If I tap and hold an image that I already tapped on to get a popup (zoomed in) version of the image, the image dialogs disappears quickly as you described.

Yes the situation it's exactly like you describe it, the thing is, that if I hold the image without previously taping on it (aka without zoom) I just save a thumb, with really bad quality , how am I supposed to save te fully loaded (full size) images then? :crying:
All the signs tell me to go back with chrome, but no, I refuse until google fixes the horrible scrolling performance , chrome feels so heavy, sometimes I feel like I'm using a 2009 android phone when I use chrome
Okay, i know this might sound weird, but there is a circle on my s2 plus screen, it doesn't appear on screen shots.
It appears on white background and wallpapers, it's a grey-colored circle.
It's also not an icon, I'm sure it's something on the display itself, it doesn't appear on any screenshot :/
Should i return the mobile back or it's normal?

I am guessing a screen burn though I never met any on anyone's phone yet.

Yes, you should.
Yes, it's circles from screen protector. I don't know how to say it correctly... it's the screen burn on the light.
I have a Moto G (non LTE version)
It is showing strange artefacts on the screen.
First image shows screen in camera mode pointing to white sheet of paper.
From the icons you can clearly see two streams of blue.

This screen is with phone booting.
No streams
This screen is phone of and charger cable connected.
No Streams
When phone is on and on normal launcher screens the blue streams show up in all different places.
Any idea what is the problem and why it would show but not on boot screens.

Could be a kernel issue....wipe everything and revert to stock ROM with stock kernel for your device.
Cheers

It is currently Stock. I will wipe and see if it helps.
I bought Z3 LTE from Sony Store last week but I returned it because it had edge light bleed problem on the left side and I returned it. I ordered a second unit few days ago and I received it and seems it has the same thin light edge bleed as pictured below.

Note this is only visible at an extreme angle and is not visible straight on or looking at the phone at a small angle. Also it's only visible on non-black colored background
Is that normal for and LCD screen? should I return it, or don't worry about it?
Thanks!
your chances of finding a perfect panel is basically "zero." if there arent any dead pixels and the backlight bleeding doest affect your viewing experiences then just stick with it. the chances of you getting a more defected one is higher.
you should also go into dial pad and test it with the service menu by inputting
*#*#service#*#*
I believe that is normal.

I ran a complete diagnostics when I received the phone. Luckily everything passed and got zero sight of dead pixels, stuck pixels or clouding! Its not the first time I have seen this, I had similar problem with my xperia S, Z and Z1. So its seems like its a normal thing
I'll take your advice and stick with it. :good:
