Uberpartner app problem - AT&T LG G3

So Uber just came out with the Android app (for drivers) and when I log in it says will not work on rooted phones... Any way around this??

Try the exposed module called Good for Enterprise Disable Root.
I think that's what its called. Anyway, it might help prevent it from detecting root.
Good luck!

Root genius - legit?

Does anyone know the answer to this? Google has conflicting results, and chrome thinks the app is malicious, as well as the developers website. Other guides and forums say it works.
Supposedly can root MT6572, (if you have another method please help me in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3063048)
So, can anyone guarantee it either way. I'm kinda getting desperate, and looking into less common/trustworthy methods.
Anyone?

Tried "root genius" --> AVAST alerts me to not install it. --> I aborted the installation, but a lot of crappy malware got installed on my computer. So please, do yourself a favour and avoid using this crap.
Have you tried iROOT yet?
Have tried iroot, didn't work.

Private mode not working with root?

Heyo,
Anyone had luck fixing private mode not working with root?
The old xsecurestorage module doesn't seem to do the trick anymore.
Any ideas welcome!

It works on my rooted s7 but you can try out an xposed module called "xtouchwiz". In that module's security hacks you can fake the system status to official and see if it helps or not.

I'll give it a crack. Thanks.
Are you using xsecure or just working rooted without any fixes?

I'm on a custom rom with xposed, but didn't have any problems in root either. But if the module doesn't work, you can try to flash a custom rom and see if it then works.
i think that it is a bug
On S5 secure storage work with Root and Xposed without any Xposed Module. You only must do a factory Reset. Or deleze some files in Data Partition.

Did you solve this? I think it has something to do with xposed. Private mode has been working with root for me but since I installed xposed, I have problems. What did you find out?

It includes decompiling apks, so best way is to use a custom kernel which already supports this from beginning

Q : One solution to use Adaway on Oreo ? (with magisk)

Let me explain you a little... (won't be long, don't sleep now !)
I'm french and i use everyday any apps like "Leboncoin" (by & sell) and i..... really hate ads ! So since few years ago i use adaway wich is the simpliest and perfect app for me : easy to use and makes good job !
My device is now on Oreo, root (thanks to lord @sToRm// again !!) but i can't use adaway and don't find any solution on web.
I'm looking for another app wich works good and wich doesn't need to be too smart to use it :silly:
If someone had some time... Thanks all and have a nice evening !!
It's working for me

Same. I downloaded the one on their website, made sure Systemless Hosts was on in Magisk settings and tapped apply. As simple as that.
Viper works, AdAway works, Root in general with SafetyNet passing, everything I could have asked for.

Here is AdAway. The viper that I found works is in Magisk Manager it is called "ViPER4Android FX for Magisk v14+". However what I found is in order to make it work you need to download SELinux Switch which can be found here and switch it form Enforcing to Permissive.
If you have any more questions let me know.

GPS Spoofing

Hi,
Is anyone tried to spoof with our OnePlus 6?
I usually use CleverSPG as system app without mock location enable, but it's not working...
I have last rom update and root with magisk
CleverSPG moved to system with lucky patcher as usual
umm try with mock location enabled? thats why its there...
fakegps does the job 100% of the time.
It's for Pokemon Go, so if I use mock location I will lose my account
I usually (3 other devices) do that way, lot of people too.
Just wanted to know why it doesn't work this time with OP6...
It was working well with my nexus 6p under Android 8.1.0 before the phone die...

Have you tried using the GPS Joystick app? It can usually work without root, but it will be less reliable (i.e. more rubber banding). Until we have TWRP, I don't think you are able to move the app to the /system partition yet.

Hi, yes.
You need to use a magisk module "App systemizer (Terminal Emulator)" from Veez21 to correctly set app as system app.

Can I hide the use of a custom ROM from an app?

I'm using Sony Xperia XZ2, and just flashed Android 11 AOSP (because officially it only supports up to Android 10).
There is an app that does not run and gives me an error message and I suppose it's because it sees a custom ROM (didn't happen with Android 10).
Is there any thing to do about that?
Thank you!

It's one of those fitness apps that reward you for walking/running (but it's local and isn't available to everyone).
I currently don't have root, so that's not the problem. Are you sure that using magisk will help here?
I don't mind rooting my device (in fact I want to).

ok, looks like your system integration fails,
it is one of the problem caused because of saftynet api, can you tell me which country are you from?

Sure, Israel.
But why does it matter?
IMO doesn't matter at all.
The cited "SafetyNet API" is integral part of "Google Play Services" what isn't location dependent, AFAIK.

@TheeWolf
If the Android system property values of ro.build.fingerprint and ro.vendor.build.fingerprint aren't the ones from device's Stock ROM ( which are certified by Google and pass SafetyNet ) the actually installed ROM is assumed to be a Custom ROM.

I see. Can that be changed to trick the app?
Edit: I found a Magisk module that does that. The question is, what values do I use?
Of course the values what are valid for device's Stock ROM.

Sorry, but I don't remember. However looking at the Magisk's module list I see there is a module called MagiskHide Props Config, this may be it.
