There are many different methods to root your device.
Please read the [Beginners Guide]How to root Samsung Galaxy Note 2 thread first.
If you have further questions, please ask directly in the rooting thread, or in the [NOOB FRIENDLY] Ask the question! [N7100 and other variants] thread.

[Q] I have problem with installing flash player to my samsung galaxy y pro duos

Hi there. I can't install flash player on my telephone (Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos)
I read many solutions here. All of them start with root your phone.
I rooted my phone yesterrday. I used this discussion as a guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1913349&highlight=flash I rooted with Compact V 1.3
and I continued with the efforts to install and run flash on my device, but maybe I have done something wrong, because root checker says that my phone is not properly rooted.
So I don't know what to do now, I tryed to ask my question there, but the forum didn't let me do that, that is why I ask here.
Can somebody help me.

[Completed] I Appreciate all suggestions !!!

Hello Everyone ....
I hope I am allowed to create new thread for seeking suggestions ? Even if not then I apologies as I am a bit cluless !
I have GT-N7100 ( Samsung Galaxy Note 2 ) 4.4.2 KitKat ! I recently tried to root my device with Odin odin3 v1.85 ( cwm6-root-note2 ) and got the pass.
Then I was not able to use SU ( Which was already pre-installed by me from play store before rooting my phone ) Also it give the message "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it".
Also I cannot go to CWM Recovery mode by Pressing Vol Up + Home Button + Power Button as screen go mad and switch own its off, Then I need to start it again to use my phone normally.
I have also installed an app from Play Store named Root Checker which verify if phone is rooted or not and it say "Root Access is not properly configured or was not granted".
Thanks to god my phone is still working but I still wish to Root My phone again with correct process !
Q. Can I still Re-Root My phone ? If Yes, Then please guide me through latest correct process with files.
Q. I wish to root and install CWM Recovery again ( Which I tried before which has not properly installed )
Thanks
Ashish
Hi there!
Sounds like superuser isn't installed correctly. Try this easy to read guide and try again...
> Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100, N7105 > Galaxy Note II General > [Beginners Guide]How to root Samsung Galaxy Note 2
If you have any issues or questions, I'd ask in that thread.
Good luck!

And here is another more recent thread,
> Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100, N7105 > Galaxy Note II General > Root 4.4.2 on GT-N7100 <All builds>
Again, you can ask for help in that thread also. ?

Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Instead of posting in a rom thread, ask either in this General thread or in the Q&A section of your device.
Good luck.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
If you are wondering what happened, Samsung blocked root on stock kernels.
The solution is a work in progress (bubbled up today), but if you register for an account, and go/subscribe to this thread:
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > How to root Samsung Galaxy J2 : SM-J200G
...you will get the up-and-up and hopefully a solution soon. You may even want to say hi, and mention you also have this problem.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
well..I culdnt wait much out of tension. so I did revert back to stock recovery by updating the firmware with Samsung kies.
