[Completed] [Q] flashing lolipop without unlocking LG Nexus 5 - XDA Assist

hi
i wanted to ask if i can flash the latest official lollipop Android 5.0 on my Nexus 5 without unlocking and wiping it , as i dont want to lose all my data and programs
wish to hear from you soon
thanks for helping

Hi,
You can ask for help here,
> Google Nexus 5 > Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD] Nexus 5 | Ask any question
If you have a locked bootloader and have not rooted or changed any system files, then yes... You will get the OTA and lose nothing.... But you will need to be patient and wait for the update to get to you.
You can ask in the thread above for alternatives though.
Good luck!

[Completed] Install/Decompile Android 5.0 Framework

Hello!
After Installing lollipop on my Nexus 5.I wished to make a few changes and share it publicly but I'm not able to install the framework and hence can't proceed with what i wished to do.
Hi,
Honestly, with official L being released for the N5 very shortly, doing anything with the developers preview that's out now seems to not be worth it.
But you can ask about it here...
> Google Nexus 5 > Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > Android 5.0 Lollipop Developer Preview Help, Troubleshooting, Q&A
Good luck!

[Completed] [Q] cwm recovery problem

I am new in rooting...i have a nexus 5 and somehow i managed to root it by cf auto root and still i am on my stock rom but my problem is that i want to backup my rom and for that i have to install cwm recovery but i have a question that if i install cwm still will i get ota update to android lollipop without any problem no matter if i lose the root access but will it brick my phone..? And for updating do i have to uninstall apps like lucky patcher , super su .etc. that all have root access...?
Thank You
Hi,
You can ask the experts who own your device for help here,
> Google Nexus 5 > Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD] Nexus 5 | Ask any question
And for OTA information, see the first page of this thread,
> Google Nexus 5 > Nexus 5 General > [INFO] Nexus 5 OTA Help-Desk
And so you know, we don't discuss Lucky Patcher or similar apps on XDA. It's used to hack paid apps, something XDA does not condone or support.
Good luck!

Hi,
We need to know your device make and model to point you in the right direction. And is it stock, or a custom rom. ?

Hi Darth,
Phone is google nexus 5 rooted .
If it's the stock 5.0, Asking here would be best,
> Google Nexus 5 > Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD] Nexus 5 | Ask any question
If it's a custom rom, Asking in its thread is best. ?

[Completed] [Q] [URGENT]Nexus 4 OS help

Hello,
I know it may sound stupid,I installed the android L developer preview and all was good until the legit lollipop update came out for nexus 4. I had teamwin so I wiped everything including the OS and all of its data, so know I have nothing except teamwin. I want to try to bring it back to normal with no money. Im open to all programs running on windows. Its stuck on the Google screen and I can only get it out when I force shut down using the button. I can access fastboot and the bootloader is unlocked, BUT not rooted. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated

[Completed] [Q] Nexus 5

I have a nexus 5 that is currently running ubuntu and i really would like to switch back but, my problem is I dont have cwm or twrp and i would like to run paranoid android can anyone help me please? and thank you
Hi,
First you'll probably want to return to stock Android. Then flash a custom recovery with fastboot. This sticky roll up has links to threads that can help you with all this. Specifically post 2.
> Google Nexus 5 > Nexus 5 General > **Sticky Roll-Up: All Guides and Info Threads Linked Here**
If you need help with a procedure, ask in the thread you are using. Or you can ask for help in this dedicated help thread for the N5,
> Google Nexus 5 > Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD] Nexus 5 | Ask any question
Good luck!
