[Completed] HTC ONE X writecid command is locking up bootloader - XDA Assist

I recently rooted my phone and was trying to flash a custom ROM. Everything went wrong. The device won't boot, and just cycles the HTC splash screen over and over again. I can still get into the bootloader and run fastboot commands, but when I attempt to restore my original CID for recovery purposes, it locks up the bootloader. Where do I go from here? Did I just brick my phone?

Hi,
Here is your device section to ask questions about that device...

Also you'll be better helped if you add more specific details about what you are trying to do, what you've tried and specific errors. The more details the better.

[Q] Need to revert to stock kernel on AT&T HTC One M8, where is the proper kernel?
DISCLAIMER: I am new to this, and may have totally ****ed up, need some help.
Where can I find a working stock kernel for 4.4.2? If all else fails, could TWRP and relocking the bootloader help? I already tried to install the kernel from htcdev.com, kept booting into fastboot.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I suggest going over post one here... It can point you towards many useful threads and reading lots of them will teach you tonnes,

You may want to be more specific if you ask for help.... Like what exactly you fid, and the exact errors or issues you have now... Also what carrier your device is. The more details you provide, the better the help.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
With an unlocked bootloader, well, that the hardest part.
Unless (possibly if) you have a funky carrier like Sprint or Verizon, should be able to flash or (preferably) boot TWRP via fastboot and then in TWRP, flash SuperSU.
Or root with KingRoot.
