[Completed] Messaging app force closes - XDA Assist

When the google's messenger app i uninstalled the stock messaging app but every time i tried to compose a msg it used to force close. So i installed the mms.apk and the odex file but still nothing is working..... Help!

Hi,
I need to know your device make and model number to point you towards help.
Thanks!

My device is Moto E indian version

You might have to flash just the system image from your exact models factory image.... With fastboot. It will restore anything missing and won't wipe your data. You can read this thread for help there, or ask if they have better ideas,
> Motorola Moto E > Moto E Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [FAQ] Frequently Asked Questions For Moto E [UPDATED-05/10/14]
Good luck!

Can you please tell me how to that. I have read the whole thread but its not mentioned anywhere.

You can ask in the link above. ?

Thank you. Thread closed.

[Completed] Help! Just deleted too much with Titanium (Contact Storage)

Hi guys, i'm going crazy with my Huawei y300-0100, after rooting. Running on android 4.1.1.
I deleted too much, as a stupid. Now the problem is i can't save any number in the "contacts" (no preloaded app version, can't find it anymore. I installed from play store two other apps, but can't save any number. One app,"contacts+" says "no app found to manage this action", while i'm trying to save a number..). The problem seems to be related to contact storage.
So, even if i'm a newbe (cause no backup done), i played with root explorer in system/app. Now find out i would need "contacs.apk", "contacts provider (this is storage, right?)", "phone apk", i don't know what else.
Hoping that with these file, i could install the storage from there. Or i don't know what to do.
Thanks a lot. Please help.
since we do not have a forum for your device, you may want to post Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Have you tried to flash to Re-flash original firmware ?

[Completed] [Q] Can't find LG-V410 Stock Firmware KDZ

Well I think that pretty much explains it... Except for why the hell half the system apps were deleted when I factory reset, even the home launcher. So I really need the firmware or another solution that'll get a decent working ROM on this tablet. Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi,
I suggest asking about your issue in this thread dedicated to your device,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-pad-10/general/dev-thread-lg-g-pad-7-0-8-0-10-1-t2838995
Good luck!
I suggested that maybe you look at that thread a little closer, or at all maybe... There's nothing about the stock firmware and the thread is "dedicated" to 3 devices of varying specs. There's nothing about a stock KDZ for v410 in that thread or anywhere else that I've looked.
If you read my reply, I suggested you ask about it in that thread, because I found nothing else relevant on XDA for your device.
If you'd rather not then, you will need to ask in this section...
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

[Completed] [Q] Moto X won't turn on wifi

I just flashed the stock firmware for 4.4.4 on my device. Now, whenever I tap the WiFi switch, it returns to "off" and doesen't turn on. Even during the innitial set-up there were no networks visible.
How can I fix this?
Hi,
Are you positive you installed the firmware for your exact model number and carrier?
You can ask this, and any future questions about your device here, in your devices Q&A section,
> Moto X > Moto X Q&A
Good luck!

I'm sure. Upon further research, I realized that my perssist folder is empty, and there should be a file there in order for this to work. The thing is, since I am in stock I do not have root access to modify the persist folder. And when I try to flash TWRP, I boot into recovery and it boots normally, instead of entering TWRP.
Please post in your section so the experts who own your device can help. ?

Flashing stock firmware could be an option.
As there is no specific forum for your device on xda, you have to ask in a general forum.
Here is what a friend (@R_a_z_v_a_n) found:
Sorry, but I don't find anything related to your device, so you must post this question in general Q&A forum from here:
> General discussion > Questions and Answers or > Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck !

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
I think something less sinister than popups and redirects being built into the ROM is going on. The first thing to do is download a root checker app, and make sure you are not rooted without knowing about it (as it will affect the next step).
The other thing to do is a factory reset. Be aware, this will wipe apps downloaded, settings, and in some cases pictures taken and other files downloaded. It will, though, keep the operating system / firmware / ROM intact (which is a good thing).
Once that is done, and basic setup is done, don't install any apps yet. Browse around with the stock browser and see if any of the weirdness has returned. If it hasn't, then congratulations, it was a rouge app. If the weirdness persists, then it could be either a clever rouge app (virus), or you may have been right after all.
If it does persist, then please add a post to this thread:
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly]
Note that, in order to post there, you will need to be registered for an XDA account.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
