[Q] MT-L09 - Ascend Mate 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello All,
i have purchased my Mate 7, model L09. I have been messing around a little bit, and from needrom i downloaded rom MT7-TL00-V100R001C01B120SP07.. it is working, but is completely Chinese. All Google apps and everything is working fine..i can live with that.
But it is possible to go back to L09 firmware? Somehow i am not able to go back. I downloaded B120SP04 from German forum. All the time failed. Both ways, either local update or forced update. Even factory reset fails.
Had anybody this issue? Could anybody help me to get back to European firmware?
Every advise will be appreciated.
Thank you.

I don't think there is a European ROM image or update available yet. I think you may have to wait for an update to be released for MT7-L09 as there has none been released yet.
I am not sure, though.
Thanks

Unfortunately i cannot update at all. Neither local nor forced.
Am i doing something wrong? I followed all instructions. And nothing. All the time failed.
Could anyone send me a in CWM backed up L09 rom or a flashable zip? I assume i am able to do this way only.
Thank you.

[Q] AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 (SM-P907A)

Hello all,
I have looked and looked and cannae look no more! Would you nice folks kindly help out a noobie? Have several questions (and entreaties!):
Having encountered BSOD once (and only once thank God), i went looking for the cause and found it to be a common issue. The fix - firmware upgrade from Samsung - seem to work for some but not for others. However, I wanted to at least try the upgrade before getting the tablet replaced.
Tried to update through the "Software Update" feature but it gave me an "Software Update Interrupted" notification. A bit of searching revealed this was a problem in itself but, sadly, not how to fix it. Thus, I searched for the firmware upgrade manually. I scoured the internet but couldn't find the update P907AUCU1ANK2 ANYWHERE for manual download - except on mobile file server dot com but they ask for a fee to download.
So I am at a bit of an impasse. Can some kind soul help me out? Why am I getting the "Software Update Interrupted" thingy ... and could somebody point me in the direction of a manual download?
Any help is appreciated guys and gals!
sammobile here you can download everything ylu want every version for your tablet, then you must use odin to flash the .tar file on your tablet so you have a fresh installed tablet with all the partitions rewritten and everything stock without mods or root fir example, you must sign up, but is free and the download takes about 2 hours 1.3-1.5 gb file

Hi! I have the same problem , update via OTA does not seem to be an option for us. It is disappointing that ATT will not release the new OS 5.xx. No Cooked ROMs for this device, there is nothing. Not return to buy a device ATT . If you find the option to update, please post . thanks

Factory reset fails after update to Lollipop

Ok, so I was on B317 Beta and downgraded to B148 using downgrade rom B300 but before upgrading to B324 I factory reset. That would give me a cust fail error. So I decided to then downgrade to B137sp03 as I saw most were having the best success upgrading from there. This time I didn't do factory reset before, I did it after and it also fails which then leaves me with B324 with NO 5x5 icon setting and pretty much lacking all around. Icons won't change, themes won't change. What the heck is going on here? By the way I have the MT7-L09.
Any help will be appreciated!
A lot of features are missing. Anyway, you can try downgrading to B120SP04. That was my previous version, but on MT7-TL10. Only thing that doesn't work here is the smart screenshot. But everything you mentioned that is missing or is not working works on mine.

Ok... another thing I want to know... How do I find out what region my phone is originally from? I bought mine unlocked in the U.S. and I'm using it here in Miami.
Thanks!

I don't know how to check where phone is from. Been installing ROMs from Malaysia, Indonesia, Italy, and European ones and they work.
Don't take my word for it though.
I'm currently using TL10, somehow B120SP04 and B125SP02 work, But B125 is more stable.

Have you factory reset AFTER doing the upgrade to B324? I have tried installing from many different ROMs. I am about to try from B127 now to see if I have any luck. And this time around I may enter recovery so that I can clear cache before upgrading. Hoping that will help.
I did when I upgraded from B120. But from B125 I didnt since going B120 to B125 already wiped my data.

Check what region you have in system menu *#*#2846579#*#* then push 3 and next 4 and see what it's there

I ended up downgrading to B300. I stayed at that for almost three months, I was afraid to do anything. I realize B300 is meant to be transitional, but it worked perfectly. I just upgraded to B331 and it's working great. Hopefully this will help someone who went through what I did. Talk about panic! Lol (^_-)
The solution is flash the cust archive for your mate https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0ujlg0k07nr7wja/AACBJn4wW7jgB7wBD9FcIVvXa?dl=0 (l09) and flash b300, after flash your favorite rom

I'm from Peru, my phone is Huawei Ascend Mate 7 TL-09 from Bitel . While I was trying upgrading my firmware (KK), I didnt know anything about importance of CUSTOM.BIN. So without any kind a backup I just installed new firmware over the original one, many many times... but... without attaching appropiate custom bin, and so went erasing totally my own CUST file.
You have shared with us the HW - EU (Europe) custom bin and that's nice, it works 100000%
Thank you so much!! :good::good::good::good::good:

Reset Fails when doing factory reset/downgrade from B331
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if you could help, I see a lot of experts on this phone and I'm new to XDA-Developers. I upgraded my Mate 7 to B331, some of the features I had are not working and I'm trying to go back to original form factor (KitKat 4.4) but I get install failed when trying to roll back with the transition update.app
Would like to hear your recommendations.
Thanks,

In desperate need of a European or International Rom.

Hi all. After days of searching and reading all posts I still didn't find what I need.
I own a NTX-AL10 Chinese phone and like to make it European or International.
So I need the proper image files to flash with adb fastboot or a complete zip to flash with TWRP. An European or International recovery will also be very helpful. For now it shows as a Next model with NTX-C900B170. So maybe the international NXT-AL10 recovery will do? Please, any help would be very appreciated because I am in fact a newbie.
as far as i can see ure already on the international B170 firmware so....what else do u need?
if ure planning to make your AL10 completely into an L29 model including automatic ota updates etc u can forget about that for the time being. there are some efforts going on to reprogram specific models into different ones, but none of them successful thus far. so for now ure stuck with manually crossflashing firmwares

On this rom the phone freeze now and than. But it's the only I'm able to find. So I need a (Preferred NTX-AL10) C432 or C900 rom with proper recovery. It's already rooted and with twrp. I wouldn't mind to go to a stock rom as long as is it one of the above mentioned and I can use ota updates.

I am satisfied with staying AL10 but now it's reporting as "model NEXT Build NXT-C900B170" ,also in HISUITE and the phone freeses every now and then.
What can I do?
Please educate me.
hm thats strange. the most current AL10 firmware is B168 with an OTA update available for B172. u can also try and install any one of the four custom roms available in the dev section

I just flashed this B168 rom of the same developer and I think that did the trick.
It seems it solved my problems.
Thanks for all your help.

Huawei ascend mate 7 update, what to do?

Hello guys, I just want to get help with updating my MT7-L09C900B324 TO marshmallow I've noticed that this is a difficult procedure most of all because of the firmwares. Thats why I thought it might be great to gather the best firmwares.. And help people that are in the same situation... Cheers
That is difficult as it depends on whether it's Chinese firmware or international, whether or not it has dual SIM and what region the existing firmware is for. So many combinations.
IMO, only use an update or ROM that has an included pdf stating what versions it can update. Check this against what is installed. Many people brick through haste and ignorance.
You also need stock recovery to do it. Bootloader can be locked or unlocked for OTA or update. I prefer to unroot too, if just an OTA update. I also think it safest to wipe cache and dalvik. Start fresh.

Updating huawei ascend mate 7 to marshmallow
As far as I know it's the Malaysian firmware, I update it manually seems it was taking too long for the Ota to arrive. Of course, from kitkat to lollipop. Now, the Ota supposed to be kicking in but I got nothing.. Do you think it has something to do with the firmware that I have? I thought it was because of that, and believe if I don't change it, will never work

Can somebody please ****ing help me ????

i have a mate 8 NXT-L29c185b200 (middle eastern version i guess) and i am gone mad just trying to figure out how the ****ing do anything( sorry for the language, i am soooo frustrated). i wanna update to nugget version but cant see to figure out how. even if i found out threads every single link is dead.
already unlocked and twrp flashed. can anybody please point me toward any direction ...... anything would be a great help. and can anybody explain me how the region and build model or whatever that is works, so many numbers, thats the one making me confused so much.
You can by downloading naugat firmware from firmware finder then update but you have to be on stock recovery
Just download firmware finder app from play store enter your model choose nauget firmware you want to update then follow the instructions to update and again you have to be on stock recovery
