Hi everyone,
I was hoping to have a question answered;
On a Moto G LTE xt1040 Running stock firmware, how can I lock the bootloader again? Is it the same as on the Moto G? As seen here in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2575586
If I just run the command "fastboot oem lock" through fastboot or mfastboot will that work?
ALso, will it be able to be unlocked again in the future?
THank you for any advice and sorry if this is in the wrong forum. It's the closest I could find. Thank you.

Hi i currently having Moto G Global GSM device, and i unlocked it a while ago. Now i want to sell it, how can i re-lock the bootloader.
i already did the fastboot code couple times with the
$fastboot oem lock begin
then flash stock rom
$fastboot oem lock
it always failed. i think it is because my bootloader version...or maybe not, i don't know.
my device has been flashed to the GPE version, and UK version. Now is in the US Global Version.
is there someone can help me. thanks
anyone???
Hi all
As the title states, does the locked bootloader stop the phone from accepting a fastboot image? Thinking about flashing over to the GPE ROM to get onto 4.4.4, but without unlocking the bootloader if possible
Thanks!
Hi there,
Not really, you can still flash via fastboot in locked bootloader but the images must be signed. GPE images are also signed but they can't be flashed due to other variables so you'll need to unlock the bootloader first.
Drat, okay. I'll unlock it in a bit then, I'd rather the GPe anyway, it felt smoother to me when I used it on my previous Moto G
I have an XT1033 Asia retail, and im trying to unlock its bootloader AFTER upgrading it to 4.4.4 stock kitkat. Ive read that it is a common bug with the bootloader of moto g after upgrading to 4.4.4. I follow all the steps perfectly, but when i type the unlock code in CMD prompt, it shows failure in unlocking due to wrong unlock code. Is there any fix available? Is there any way to downgrade XT1033 asia retail locked bootloader to 4.4.2? Would it do the trick? Please help me.

I had a factory unlocked XT 1034 16gb that I dropped in the Jacuzzi and wiped out so I went on Craiglist and bought a used XT 1032 that was unlocked for T Mobile which I use. I got home and went to unlock the bootloader so I could root it and found out it's running AT&T firmware and Motorola site says I can't unlock the bootloader.
My question is can I flash a different stock firmware via Fastboot and be able to unlock the bootloader?
I want to relock my moto g2 XT1068 bootloader what should i do?
