On KitKat, you could hold the power button and tap what you wanted.
On Lollipop, I've found only one way.
1. Press the volume hardware button
2. Then tap the icon to the left of the volume meter bar
The minor issue I have is this means you're constantly changing the volume level to access this menu.
Is there a similar way, like my Kitkat example, or easier way to change the ringer type (ringer/vibrate/silent) that is native to the OS? I'm not looking for a new application to install to achieve this.
Page 9, sigh.

Hi everyone!
I want to add a "Data Connection on/off button" to the notification bar replacing the "silent on/off button", so it can be used to toggle data on/off quickly.
I'm guessing that it has probably been done already, but I can't find it in the forums.
This is what I mean:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
In this picture from the Movistar ROM it has already been replaced, so I don't know whether this is configurable in the XXKB3 ROM or if the corresponding apk has to be modified.
I'll start looking to see which APK contains those buttons, any info is welcome!
EDIT: I found them, they are on "twframework-res.apk"
Hi you all
This time I have something for people with childs, who don't know the numbers, or if you need to show in the graphic way how much time left
Description
Graphic timer is a timer which in the graphic way shows how much time left.
Set any ringtone/vibration
Volume up/down for changing time
Change layout-color
If you want to set a time, grab a top strip and pull it down.
Use STOP button for stopping the timer.
After finished countdown the timer is able to back to previous time, just press the middle button (arrow).

I just discovered this ability to select the notification when you drop down the quick setting menu and hold and select the system notification.
My issue is that while this is great so i can change the option to display the content, I don't know how to get them to come back when you select the option to Hide it.
They don't appear in Settings ->Notifications -> app notifications b/c these are System UI and Andriod System notifications. How can one access these if you have root and have made changes? I hope what I'm explaining makes sense.
This below is the option when you select and hold the Charging notification:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

Hi, I know that there are screenshot apps out there, and there is the screen selection tool built into the S8 edge apps, but is there just a simple built in key sequence to take a quick screen cap? Thanks!
vol - and Power button
Hmmm, I can't seem to get it to work. Haha, i feel like an idiot!
Power + Volume Down keys (in sequence)
If the key sequence is too tricky then you could use the hand swipe gesture.

}
What ive noticed is that its not instant...it takes about half a second of holding the buttons to make it work.
Haha, finally got it, thanks for the help....it's all in the timing, not one before the other. The palm thing is cool too, thanks!
Hi, I've created a new Android app which changes the music volume of the device based on the traveling speed. It can be downloaded from here:
Auto Volume (With Ads) - Apps on Google Play
Auto Adjustment of Music Volume Based on Speed
lnkd.in
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This app is for adjusting the volume, not for warning when going over the speed limit. There are other apps for that. I could add a warning for one top speed only if there is enough demand for such a feature. Second question is not clear.
Thanks, I was looking for just something like this.
